There should be a low pressure switch in the system, so when it gets below a certain pressure it opens the the circuit so the clutch will not engage. Sounds to me like the compressor is about to kick the bucket. Also when the A/C is on the clutch is locked up and the bearing does not turn.

We did the headlight upgrade on the 88 pathy yesterday. now they both have bright lights
-
installed front pads on the 88, had rotors turned. Went to pick A part and found a center console out of a 94 mama likes the cup holders and the higher height, will install in the next few days Filled the tank on the 94 $84.44

If we could get some good gas here in Cal instead of that crap they force on us, I'd be getting better gas mileage. I can tell the difference by the 2nd tank in performance when we go to Az or Nv for a few days, plus the damn crap cost us more here in cal

Filled the tank, $73.00 ouch
-
averaging 17 to 18 on the 94 5 spd if I keep my foot out of it

Berrymans B12 is one of the better chemicals for finding vacuum leaks, use one of the pressurized cans Also works great on cleaning the throats of throttle bodies. I've even used it as a starting fluid

Looking good

Finally got all the bearings and seals and left CV, so this last weekend I tore the 94 apart, replaced the spindle bearings, wheel bearings, left CV axle, and installed the new Warn Premium hubs. Guess I'm ready for the summer

I like the legos, Have them on the 88 and wish I had them on the 94
-
LMAO so did I
-
wd40 it and also get a needle tip for your grease gun to get grease into the bushings. when I picked up the 94 last year it was all I could do to open it
-
Look for a split vacuum line, maybe at the servo, if it is you can probably just cut off the bad part and reinstall
-
Ordered a set of Warn premium hubs for the 94, hopefully the CVs just need new boots
-
I've got a nice dent on the front of the hood on my 88 because I didn't heed the above. I was lucky it could have been the windshield
-
Went Flat black on both of ours

I have one of their 4X30 straps that I found at a swap meet and only paid $10.00 for it WHOOHOO. We used the hell out of when we were down in San Quintin Baja towing people out of the dunes.

I wonder if his rear hatch glass will open with the antenna mounted there. I went longer bolts also. Something else if he tries to set the swr he wants the carrier closed, it will make a difference in the swr with it open

It's still connected? That's the first thing I disconnect, I hate those durn things

Well last week the OL smoked the clutch in the 94, I knew it was going to have to be replaced but I was hoping for another month or so. Anyway I had already ordered a clutch kit from Rock auto and it was sitting waiting to be installed, luckly I have a friend who is in the used car business and he called a shop that he uses. Labor $200.00 turn the flywheel $50.00. Picked it up yesterday with a new main seal pilot bushing disc PP and TO bearing 185.000 miles and the old parts were factory just hoping they were original one happy camper

I've seen this happen a few times when I was still working
-
We made an early run to Pick A Part and filled about 1/4 of the list. Started in on the 88 replaced the rear window squirter motor with one from a Stanza, had to swap the base of the pump because of different mounts, oh great now the nozzles are plugged popped the inside trim panel and removed the nozzle blew it out with the compressor now it works yeah. On to the 94 the tweeters didn't work and when I checked them out I found them disconnected, ran new speaker wires because I thought it would be easier then trying to trace the originals, oops drivers side is blown, good old pick a part comes through again with the replacement. More piddlin stuff to do tomorrow. I guess I'm pretty lucky both the 88 and the 94 run great it's just the little cosmetic stuff, you know the things that nickle and dime you

hopefully in the next month the 2 local ones will be restocked, everything there now has been pretty well picked over

I've noticed a few people asking where to cut the pigtail on the GCJ springs, here's a pic of where I cut mine hope this helps
-
Well while out prowling the local jys looking to see if any new pathys were out I ran across a GCJLV8 that someone had conveniently pulled the front end and had so nicely left the springs just laying in the mud, so with my wallet $30.00 lighter I now have another set of coils to play with. I miked the springs and they came out at .560 the El Camino springs that I took off miked .700. When the pigtail is cut off the springs will be approx 2 inches taller then the E C springs, although with a taller spring I believe I'll still have a softer ride then I did with the E C springs hopefully. Now all I need is for it to stop raining for a few days. Oh I also picked up a grab handle to install on the drivers side, mama thought that was a great idea, and a door lock mechanism for the back left door, and even picked up a rear hatch lite for the 88 I didn't want it to feel left out. They're going to have to get some more pathys in, the ones that are there are really picked over
