Really? Just a couple hundred more? That's definately something to think about if everything is already out.

Duct tape!

The master switch would generally just mean the one on the driver's door that controls all the windows and locks. It could have come unplugged or something simple. Mine wasn't fully secure on the driver's side after a wreck, the body shop didn't fully seat it. I had no power at all there, but it was a quick fix. But if the window won't work from either switch, then I guess there may be bigger issues here.

Don't you mean "unleash" your bank account? $489.95 plus a $500 deposit, or a dead Pathy until they send it back to you. For 8-10hp, you're looking at $48.99/horsepower at best. Hmmm... I think I'll just take my time getting from stop light to stop light.

I don't have a garage to do it in. I don't think the neighbors in the complex would appreciate me doing it out front in the carport. Guess its time to shop around.

$1000?!?! :o It better not be. I've already blown a couple grand on car repairs so far this year.

Or the flip side. In late January right after a hard rain, this jacka$$ pulled out of a business driveway at about 5:15 pm, right after work, and nearly hit me/Pathy on W. Valley Hwy for the locals . He then proceeded to cut across traffic, and I do mean cut accross- many slammed brakes and such. Guess I was toooooooo concerned a citizen, I figured he was drunk. So I turned the next corner after him trying to get a plate #, went about 150 (according to the cops) or so accelarating and *bam* the jackass slams the brakes for ABSOLUTELY no reason. Due to the P.O.S. BFG mudders I haven't been able to replace yet, I hit the brakes and slid... slid... slid right into his P.O.S. mid-90's Taurus. Even the cops said it was obvious that he had no reason to do it and was trying to cause a wreck for insurance reasons. Still, it cost me $500 out of pocket (deductible) and endless mess of stress and shady repairs and newly-found damage. It has been a nightmare really. The moral is- don't screw around with tail gaiters, cut-offs, morons, whatever on the road. It doesn't matter who is right, what the other idiot does, etc. You will still end up with a bill and the headache of putting the pieces back together.

Nice "darn." Guess this is the 1st time I've ever tested the limit of NPORA vocab. Probably a good thing though. The alternate verbage went something like :furious: . Oh well, back to the drawing board...

Anybody here in the S. Puget Sound area that could give their word on a local shop for the work? I've done clutches before and could do it, but I seriously don't have the timeand/or patience. My summer is booked through late Sept. BTW, the *talk* my clutch made lately seemed to be her last song. Came to a stop light next to my bro, he was like "what the hell is that smell?" Come to find out, after a trip both up and down hill, not only was the Pathy making nasty noise but she smelled rather gross. darn Time for the fix.

Fresh forum goodness for WD21 owners.
Mr. Pickles replied to 88pathoffroad's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Pretty slick. I think I'm the first, other than you, to post anything. Yippee to me. -
I don't imagine steel sheeting would make much difference over aluminum in this case, where he's using thicker aluminum. And in any case, hopefully he'll be driving around or putting a tire over any obvious rocks that may come in contact with the skid plate area. The skid plate is a very nice "just in case." Sliders are made for more immediate contact, aren't they? I bet someone could fab up aluminum sliders if they wanted too, although they better have deep pockets. sly

Like 88path says, there are some "generic" one-size-fits types at auto parts stores for pretty cheap. Good insurance to have for sure.

This is what you're looking for. Remember, we have a homepage. Its magically called NissanPathfinders.com. :Magic:

I did the tire carrier in Rustoleum satin black, and am thinking about the wipers using the same. The stuff is pretty durable and has held up well so far.

Yeah, but where's the "beginner's" version? I guess I'll just go for the size/price factor and see where that gets me.

Hey, on this train of thought, I've been wanting to finally get a cb, but I'm not sure what to get. Never really been around them or know what to look for. Anyone have any recommendations of brand and features to look for and stay away from? I think I'm good on antenna and such, just mainly the unit itself. Also, how does one "tune" the cb?

Headers are pretty cheap for that motor. I think I saw cams that were fairly affordable as well. The thing is, its low on power but if you don't screw around with it and just give good maintenance, it will go forever. I had 255K miles on my z24 truck when I sold it. The motor is a gerbil. You could give it steroids and make it a puffed up gerbil, but its still tiny. If you're super worried about lots more power on a budget, you may need to start by moving to a V6 truck as a better platform.

Nah, they're doing actual computer upgrades and bypasses, etc. Those are actual engineered and tested systems that modify or reprogram the stock system. This thing just crosses the connections on the MAF, if I remember right, putting a little resistance there to trick the computer into dumping in a little more fuel.

Geeze, another 50 lbs? No wonder you're losing all the drag races.
-
Does it have a stock steering stabilizer? I just added one to mine, and either its my imagination, or it stiffened up the action a bit. But I like it like that...
-
Its worth a shot, if you're comfortable with making sure its is actually waterproof, and you can fab something that fits in the limited space. Pics pics pics if you come up with something.

Somebody should put together a retrofit hybrid type deal. I've heard the new Eclipse puts something over 400hp with both the gas (V6, I think) and electric motors at full tilt. Mmmm...
-
When talking Vortec, they're going after GM 4.3 (and possibly some 3.8) liter engines, although there are Vortec V8's as well. I'd be guessing its ver similar, if not the same engines used in Holdens and such.

Good find! Gotta love the bazillion different types of bulbs there are to choose from. And the problem turned out to be basically the same idea people were saying, just happened in a different way.

Maybe with the filter at the end of the snorkel and protect from the elements by some sort of hood, but that would be just a *tad* odd looking probably.
