-
Spray paint. Sorry, I just haaad to.

Geeze, somebody didn't love that truck. I'd throw in transfer case & diff lube change. Seems to be popular. Hope you're back running soon.
-
Wow, you can hear them? I assume you've gone through the basic fuel system cleaner and such? Could they be tired and ready to retire?
-
They're basically replacement threads you can use to repair/replace stripped and damaged threads in a bolt hole in your truck. A very good friend.
-
Yup, I've done small ones myself. Strong as hell. (I hope! )
-
Couldn't you tap and/or heli coil the threads to fix that pretty cheap, rather than buying the new part?
-
need some help parts needed and some fast advice

Mudfinder, hope you can solve your problems, sorry I have no input. Just wanted to post an FYI that your avatar is now my desktop. Classic and funny as hell. The Ms. saw it and was like "What?! I love it, its so cute!" -
Been there, done that. Glad somebody is around to carry the torch. :secret:

Barry White, huh? Bad, bad, bad... -bounce-

Slow driver?!? I guess I'm screwed then. Not exactly slow here at all, just reasonablly fast. Have you tried anthing like a multiple-switchback? Basically, any sort of turns that might expose some binding and such.

Nissan Tech?!?! Is there such a thing out there?! Surely not around here (Western WA). Around here, a basic look/scope/poke is out of the question. The local boys will have little to nothing to do with my Pathy. Apparently, they simply can't do with quality. They require $500 as a down payment on their Hummer *gag*.

Im BACK! Need helps from the pf er's

Um, yeah. I'd say don't drive it... at all. Hop a cab, ride a bus, hitch hike. I've heard bad, bad (expensive) things about guys that pushed it beyond. -
Dylan Marley & White 95, we must be soul mates or some BS. Major tunage overload. Its good to be old young, or young old. Regardless. We learn the good isht from our elders. Why fault them?

The lights are also great for any of us with dark tinted windows backing up pretty much ANYWHERE at night. I put my old P.O.S. fog lights from the front back there, one on each side of my reciever hitch, and angled out a bit. I also did like 88 did on my old 85 Nissan 4x4, switched lights rather than relayed to the back-up lights. Its easy, but be careful of 2 things. 1) rRmember to turn them off! Dead batteries suck! 2) Be careful where you use them, such as tailgaters. Cops are REALLY not fond of this. sssh

Wanna get off subject? How 'bout those Mariners. Really stinking up the joint.
-
I run a bottle of that type stuff every few months. Whatever is on sale usually. I've never had a fuel system problem, so maybe that is why. I just figure extra cheap insurance.
-
I've been wondering about tread wear myself. My BFG M/T's have probably 40K miles on them and still have probably 1/3 tread left. They're insane. When they go, I was looking at something like the MT Baja Claws or (smaller) Swampers for looks and ability, but don't know about tread life or noise. Has anybody out there compared this sort of thing? I do a lot of highway driving, but have been known to get sloppy as well.

Its getting to be a shock. With my job I started a few months ago, I no longer have to commute in to Seattle. Average 1 tank of gas every 2 weeks or so now. So, every time I go in, the price has jumped like $0.10. Its getting seriously irritating. Guess I picked a good time to tune the old girl up, though.

My Flowmaster cost about $100 installed with a chrome tip. Sounds awesome. I've seen them muffler for sale for $50-$60, and install wouldn't be much work, especially if you have access to a welder.
-
That or some of that Naval Jelly stuff everybody is talking about? I just happened to check up on mine over the weekend. Its got the usual stuff under the back seat. But *gasp* now you can see daylight down below. Great! Time to break down and buy the welder.

I'm thinking he means "different vehicle" as in different handling. It will have a higher center of gravity, which could lead to more lean in corners, and of course you'll be looking down on other vehicles.

Its what keeps us west-coasters sane (& ticket-free) in our several-hundred mile road trips all over hell and back.

Yup, they really need to look into offering deisels in our size range. The newer engines coming out are even more effecient, and super clean and quiet. Drove my dad's Dodge and that thing is a monster, tons of power. And the thing gets better mileage than my Pathy! Towing a 28' boat, about the same!!!!
