My cat settles for *hunting* my sock-covered feet when I walk around the house.

88Path, you're bad... Opening this panel was covered very recently, last week I think. Search for door panel and you should find it quick.

Body Lift Final Thoughts / Questions

Coming off the bumper height topic in relation to lifts, wouldn't a bumper like that open the door to endless stops by the police and "fix-it" tickets?

No instructions? -
Um, 70 is the speed limit once you get out of the city around here.

That's what I was thinking. I have a 5 sp, so of course its different, but I cruise at 70 pulling 3000rpm's.

Replacing OEM Fog Lamps with Pilot PL-1055C Lights
Mr. Pickles replied to statikuz's topic in How-To's
Also, you don't have to necessarily remove the plastic trim around the lights and such with the torx screws, although it may be easier. I don't know. Mine were rusted in place and just stripped when trying to remove those screws, so I removed the metal trim type piece that runs the length of the bumper just beneath and behind it. From here, its a bit of a squeeze, but you can reach the nut that holds the stock light to the bumper bracket. So, I never had to take out this piece that you screw the new pilot bracket too. I just did it with it still in the bumper, and the rest is the same. -

Does anyone out there have a 4 cyl.?
Mr. Pickles replied to 87pathfinder4banger's topic in Z24 Engine Discussion
Man, I'd have paid $70 if that motor would have mated to my old truck. A shame, but ya do what ya gotta do. -
Oh, THAT thing. I haven't used one of those in years. Its all about an alarm with power door lock control.
-
Interference= serious & EXPENSIVE damage. Be careful about changing as recommended.
-
You mean you push "lock" in the truck, and it locks the unlocks? You may want to check the driver's door switch deal. I've had other rides where the doors would do this and you had to slam the driver's door to correct it. Don't know if this carries over to the Pathy, but if you can source a switch for a few bucks from a boneyard, it may be a cheap fix if so.

*sniffle, sniffle* :sniff:

Wonder if this could somehow be related to the issue of the locks auto locking in cold weather, only the opposite happening. That sucks majorly to have your truck swallow your keys and lock. Luckily, it only happened at home with a spare nearby. Are all your doors and rear hatch closed tight? Just a thought.

BTW, on my first day of driving around town, I have to say the Jeep springs rock over the Pathy's. The ride is a tad firmer, but not harsh, less lean in corners (I'm sure that has a lot to do with a fresh Tbar crank as well), but in general it rides nice and smooth. A+ to the guys doing the research! As for the pics, if you're ghetto like me, you could open the pic, shrink down the overall size, and save it as a jpeg in Paint. I just did this on another post and got a pic down from 1.37MB to 6.46KB. 88, aren't you proud?

Ok, time to take the pc to the graveyard. The old girl freezes whenever she pleases. At least I'm getting the size down.

Just saw $2.09 at AM/PM on the way home. They've gone down almost $0.20 in the last 2 weeks or so. Nice.

The search feature is your friend. :type: This is a very popular topic that is covered pretty much from start to finish in a sticky thread at the top of the Garage. Check this out.

I don't think they're variable rate, at least by looking at them. Ones that I have seen before that were involved bigger coils at one end, and closer together ones at the other end. The Jeep ones were pretty much uniform all the way, with the exception of the last coil that reduces from 4" to 3". Others have used a torch and pipe to bend this coil out to 4". I didn't have the torch set-up and was working on the deck of my townhome (no garage!) so I just cut it off like others. I don't think that 1 portion of coil makes a huge difference to the overall lift.
-
Wow! I paid $600 for that, although they did cover my tow. :furious:
-
That's actually probably not a bad idea... Under the seat is kinda a scary spot, but then I imagine Nissan never intended the Pathy to go swimming. I nearly did the same thing a few months ago. Had water right at the door, but not in luckily. My brother was in the passenger seat and pulled his feet to the dash cause he KNEW he was getting wet. Luckily we got out with no problems. Good luck and good find. Hopefully no other problems will show their heads.
-
That just sucks. :secret: I've never been particularly fond of jacking the suspension. Its just not very secure vs. going right to the frame, but I see the point. I guess it may be more stable lifting from a lower point too.
-
Jeeze, all that for $200. That's a deal, I do think.

I haven't used any spacers or UCA's yet. Its only cranked back to the same height it was when I got my last alignment, as the bars where new and sagged from there, and all seems to be in order. I'm running with it now while the springs settle down and such to see what happens. I only have to drive a few miles a day now, so I'm going to keep an eye on it. I'm thinking I'll still probably go for the spacers and crank it just a tad more, but that's down the road just a bit.
