  1. That works, although "SuperBowl Champions" would work in advance as well.
  2. Ditto the rear axle write up, you can never have too much info. I'm getting ready (slowly) to tear mine apart and install a LockRight locker.
  3. Sunova... don't curse me man! I was thinking about swapping the lower ball joints this weekend. Luckily they're crap and I have new ones, so I can beat the hell out of them if need be. That and the poly compression rod bushings need to go in too. Now ya gotta go and piss off the Pathy gods and make them crap on me. I'll blame problems on you.
  4. Yeah, meeting up would be cool. We could do the whole Tim Allen "Oooh oooh, aaaahh, aaaahh, ooooooooooooohhhhhh....."
  5. LOL, I just finished PM'ing you to see if you're gonna come. Yeah, he's got a list of stuff to check, and I've packed some scrub clothes and my dig camera by the door. Call me if you suddenly think you can make it.
  6. Yeah, even at a couple hundred $$$ to outfit your rig, that's still pretty sweet to be self-sufficient. Especially since you could air up whenever you want PLUS have air tools for on-site repairs. Toys, toys, toys.
  7. Depends on the situation really. There have been many guys who found a kit for like $50+ less than AC offers, say from a friend or eBay. If they can access the proper bolt for say $10 for both, they're still $40 ahead. For a lot of guys out there, that's $40 well saved and worth the effort. As for going through the top, I'd actually not be fully against that. I was the guy that had a bolt siezed in back, and I ended up breaking the head of the bolt off while trying to get it out. We finally had to cut in from the top, apply lube and then heat to remove it. After looking back on that, it actually shouldn't be a big deal to just go that route with a different bolt and nut in the first place if you were desperate. Read: you don't have a full kit or don't have options. Not condoning it as "the way to go" but that's what it took for mine.
  8. What was said above- check the file type. The forum software is rather limited in the file type, but you shouldn't have any problems if you can save it as a .jpg.
  9. Yeah, a good primer intended for galvanized surfaces should do the trick. Might be tought to find somebody to direct you to a specific brand, as the rust resistant nature of galvanized metal probably leads people to not paint it. Maybe try a local boat or trailer repair shop, or somewhere else that would have a lot of experience dealing with it.
  10. I can do it tomorrow evening like you planned. Sorry, been running around this evening. Email me with the details (address, guy's name, oh, and the year and model of the truck so I can look it up! ). Have you done any research on common problems or do you know of any areas you'd like to pay particular attention to? I can bring my camera and take pics of anything you want. Also, let me know before 6:30am PST AT THE LATEST, because after that I leave for work where personal email is blocked. :furious: Man, I hate that. Websites too. That's how I used to be able to sit on NPORA for what probably seemed to others like 14 hours a day. Your humble servant...
  11. Just respray the same color. Then you don't have to mess with all the door jams, under hood, etc., or swap your interior. Just the fact that you'd worry about the interior matching says that you want it to look decent. Orange is just gonna get you laughed at and get your truck keyed or get you more attention from the ticket givers.
  12. Huh, that does sound pretty sketchy. You'd think a seller is gonna be a bit more open to offering info., at least the basics and direct questions you've asked, and especially for someone showing interest and being willing to come from THE NEXT COUNTRY! Well, good luck anyways.
  13. I'd second Animal. Mine made a noise off and on for quite a while, but when if finally gave up it was pretty sudden. Something just stuck one day, and I couldn't shift and the clutch wouldn't engage. I stopped, shut her off, ran through the gears over and over and rocked the truck, and it finally let lose. Drove the old girl home and then to the shop. They remarked that the clutch was gone, stuff was badly worn, and they were surpised I actually drove it in. 130K miles on the original one works for me.
  14. Yes, please do. *checking this out jumps right onto the to-do list*
  15. Good idea, since we'd also finally meet too. I replied that I work till 5 or 6 usually during the week, so it would have to be after then for me since it sounds like he's trying to do this during the week. Night viewing isn't ideal of course, but it is what it is. I work in Kent and live in Bonney Lake, and Auburn is right between. You're in Puyallup, right Red?
  16. Mine has that fog light wiring set-up too. I dunno about dealer install, but could be. The power comes off the battery and has an inline fuse pretty much like if you or I were to install an aftermarket kit harness. Do you guys have/had this as well? The relay is a Bosh brand on the firewall near the hood hinge on teh passenger side. If I remember right, green is ground. I posted a while ago ID'ing all of the wires, actually. Well anyways, good luck on the project and the battery/starting issue.
  17. If there were a company out there offering sponsorship to trick out a Pathy, 3/4 of the people on here would be begging already. I think you're outta luck unless you can personally talk to a company and convince them yourself.
  18. I'm betting you'd want an upgraded computer as well to take full advantage, and JWT is about the only place I've heard of. You'd have to send the comp in too. But regardless, if you're in a smog nazi area, you probably wouldn't pass after the swap anyways.
  19. Pretty much... yep, yep, and yes. Those back bolts are a joke, and they take more effort than the rest combined. I ended up throwing together a quick T ouf of scrap 2x4's to go between the jack and body and spread the load. As for the cover over the fuel filler hose, mine lined up except for 1 quick hole I drilled for one of the bolts. Good to hear it went relatively easy for you. Mounting that bumper sucks a bit too, good luck. My stock mounts just refused to line up on the drivers side due to interference. Since the bumper is pretty much for looks after the body lift due to the cheesy extension brackets, I said what the hell and just cut off the offending portion with an angle grinder and cut-off wheel. Ghetto, but git 'er done. PICS!
  20. Happy birthday! Metal, paint, and plastic can always be replaced, as long as you're ok all is good. Thats a rough patch you've had, hope all looks up from here on out.
  21. Oooooooh Dual filters + extra capacity = extra insurance. Me likey. $52 is probably cheaper than the average guy pays for 2 oil changes at a chain lube shop, while the rest of us spend maybe $8-15 depending on oil and filter used. So now you spend say $15-25 and you'll still come out ahead.
  22. They're great so far. Pretty easy install, and they feel very strong, better than stock for sure.
