  1. SLAYER!!!! I'm freakin Slaytanic man YES! Loved Seasons in The Abyss when I was 18...Jeez, I still listen to metal but I haven't heard any Slayer in 20 years...Metallica, pantera, Rob / White Zombie KMFDM Ramstein Love it!
  2. I realize this can be upsetting and I always forget my rediculous propencity for running off on a wild tangent, therefore from here on, my lips are sealed regarding all this. I won't be that guy that continues to go on beating on everyone else about the same old thing. Please allow me to carefully step down off my ten foot tall soap box now!
  3. I am not a racist and I don't hate any particular person, people, religion, creed or sexual orientation. In my job I deal directly with many undocumented migrant workers whom *I* depend on for them to keep THEIR jobs so I can keep mine. I've dated black girls before and think Astrid Farnsworth from Fringe is freakin HOT. I spent 6 months in Kuwait working for KBR and had many Arabic, Kuwaiti and Indian friends there. I ate with them and drank with them, and did business, you know when you visit a gold dealer in the market and he recognizes you as a friend, it's customary to do the kiss kiss thing on both cheeks, been there, done that..no biggie. So when you're reading my post don't be so quick to offhandedly cast me as some intolerant bigot, because I've got a brain and I'm not afraid to use it. I'm not really sure on how I fall down on the whole Public Display of Religion thing (I've got a few thoughts regarding the one sided attack of Christianity in the U.S. however) but the thing that interests me the most about these policies that Canada is apparently now implementing is that it seems to be all emcompassing. You say that ALL symbols of religion / religious affects are banned? So it's not just the Christians but everyone else as well, that for me alteast lends some measure of merit to the policy (I totally disagree with it BUT it seems to be on an even keel). In the states we're terrified of offending any other religion than the Christians, it's okay to take Christmas out of everything, it's a Holiday Tree now, or Happy Holidays...hmm..which random Holidays are these that your wishing me well for? But ofcourse the Muslim cab drivers can have their foot wash stations in the airports, and the women are allowed to go into banks totally disguised in their burqa because they must not be disturbed and told to leave oh just because all you can barely see of them is their eyes. Uh huh, sure. And lets not forget Kwanzaa while we're at it, Happy Kwanzaa everyone! Just don't let me hear you say Merry ______*mas*! Kwanzaa isn't even based in any worship of any Deity but a way that black Americans can oh, I don't know, some how have their own celebration for civil rights, you know just by them selves....doesn't that sound familiar? Anyone else think it's ironic that they remove themselves from the rest of society, ahem, to celebrate the very integration INTO society?!? Someone explain to me why it's okay to put a wood carving image of a crucified Christ into a jar of piss so that communists and haters of our country (that was founded so that people could live as free spiritual beings) can observe it and call it Art, and yet it's wrong to tell a young muslim girl in highschool she can't wear her head scarf, because you know, it's a part of her custom and religion...see..don't want to upset that. If I have offended anyone, I do not apologize for that offense, I ask only that you read again my post very carefully and give yourself some time to recover from your knee jerk reaction and then fact check me. Everything I have stated here is my own personal opinion which is based 100 % well within fact. If at that point you still cannot reconcile with me, then at that point I am sorry for you, and wish you well.
  4. OH MY GOD! It's like a late 60s family station wagon in style of a swinging Michael Kelso party van from the 70s!
  5. Hey are those rims the stock steel rims off a Isuzu Rodeo? Also what kind of Magnaflow muffler did you use? I'd also like a quieter muffler that allows better flow.
  6. Wow, that's a great deal..good for you man, 600 bucks and it's straight as it can be and in your first pic it kinda looks like its got a bit of a lift on it. Great find.
  7. Hagge, how much lift on your front end anyway? I'm thinking of doing this also but I want to be careful about it. Yours looks kinda extreme to me, how many inches did you get on the front? Is that 2 or 3 inch or what?
  8. I'd like to get around 2" out of a torsion bar crank, I have no idea yet if I'll need to re-index, but my question is if I am able to get 2" of lift from cranking the t-bars, is this going to do damage long term to my alignment, tires and cv joints and shafts? Is this really okay to do? I've talked to my mechanic and a specialist that he referred me to and they're both waving their arms at me in panic telling me not to do this. So are they freaked out just because they're unfamiliar with our trucks or what's the deal?
  9. You should never go Full Retard...Dustin Hoffman didn't even go Full Retard.
  10. Can't even see the boot that goes around the t-case shifter..it looks good certainly but If I were buying it I would be asking for a couple more pics, front axle, interior from driver side, rear seat and cargo area.
  11. That wouldn't bother me at all and besides, if I was rich enough to be able to afford living in a place like that why would I care? That's a beautiful area, I'd hate to see my neighborhood burn. Fires like that are a sad thing, heart breaking.
  12. What would happen if you ran through a car wash?
  13. Now, understand I'm not sure of the cause or how to resolve, but I sometimes experience something similar, especially when offroading: What happens is the transmission basically isn't downshifting when it should. So your driving along there in 3rd or 4th gear and come to a stop, well the tranny is still in 3rd and that's why it won't hardly move. I don't know why it does this but atleast you know what it might be.
  14. When you always find yourself saying "Ofcourse I can go down that atv track, why wouldn't I?" and then you do it.
  15. When your kids and family nickname the backseat "The Balcony" because of the raised up riding position.
  16. Lol, I Don't know but it sounds awfully familiar! Touche btw..heh.
  17. Oh man my wife and just went through this with our 2001 Altima. It's your N.A.T.S. antenna ring is no longer communicating with the vehicle immobilizer. If you can get it to a service bay where they can pull a code check on it, you're looking for codes 1610 and 1612 or something like that. We had to have our Altima towed to the dealership, after first having it towed to a neighborhood service station, they couldn't work on it. It's that damn Vehicle Immobilizer system. It will no longer recognize the magnetic transponder in your key and so it thinks your trying to steal the car and therefor cuts the ignition. That thing parts and labor, and diagnostic cost us a total of roughly $610. Good luck. If you've got full coverage ins on your vehicle, check with them, they may reimburse your towing charges. I'm with State Farm and they sent us a check for both tows.
  18. Riding motorcycles are a lot of fun, however riding dual sport bikes on the freeway is not fun, as Precise 1 mentioned above, no wind protection or fairing or anything. Getting blown out of your lane when you get passed by a semi truck or other large vehicle, that part aint fun either. Sitting in traffic, especially on a hot day, riding any kind of bike is a chore, as is the long haul. Long trips down the freeway on anything other than a cruiser or concours bike like an FJ1100 or something like that, (which is heavy and poderous at low speed) is the only way to spend time in the saddle. I know when you get past by some guy flying down the road, you think wow that looks cool and awesome, well in my mind, most of the time it's not. Unless you're really cooking and breaking the law, then it's exhilerating..but just the normal 60 - 80 mph freeway drone...on a bike tends to start to suck...and get boring after you've done it for a while. I once went to Rome Italy for 4 days and rented a Honda Hornet 600 and tried to find my way to a B&B...that was an unmitigated disaster, what a horrible experience. Lost and confused and broken, I gave up and got a room, took the bike back the next day and then just went around the city.
  19. Wow SkiBumBrian that thing is a beast, it seems like you turned it back to it's roots as a KLX, I like it. I don't have anything now but I did ride a 2000 model Yammie XT350 for a couple of years, I bought brand new and made most of the payments on it until the bank came and took it back! I enjoyed it but ofcourse I got bored with it. I'd always kinda looked at the Kawasaki and the Suzuki's, too short to ride the big XR650, I'm only 5'8" and those things are tall! I miss riding but Houston is a terrible place to be owning and riding a motorcycle. If I ever got another bike it would be a little dirt bike or a Can Am Spyder.
  20. 12 junk yards on N. Shepherd? Crap man, I wanna go! Next time you need to go call me, all I can find around here they don't have any thing for our trucks, and I hate going to LKQ over there on Wallisville, its too huge for one thing and then you gotta pay to get in, then you gotta pay again if you want to go to the other side. I've tried calling a couple of the ones on mykawa and pasadena and they never have anything for our trucks, they don't even look they just say "94 Nissan path? No, don't got it."
  21. This made me laugh out loud for at least a minute, what a great shot. What kind of camera? How are there so many of you cat owners / lovers on here? In my family we're about little white dogs, I have a Maltese and my parents have 3 Bichon Frise. Cats are great but I'm allergic and I only know of one person that even has any cats, I guess in my circle anyway.
  22. Whats up JJ331 Your rig looks great man, glad to hear to stuffed it to those jeep guys. I'm in Houston also, there are a couple of us here in town, hit me up man, lets wheel. I love your rims, what are those off of?
  23. ?? Uh, what is your version of Difficult?
  24. You did the right thing. Hope you get a good haul out of it.
  25. I don't mean to be a negative Nancy but I hope you guys know the more negative your offset, the more stress and pressure are multiplied and applied against the hub / wheel bearing assembly. It's like a giant crowbar prying against it.
