  1. In Texas, or well here in Houston it's like $13.50 or something. I have an easy tag on the Pathfinder which renews back up to $40 once it gets low, like down around $10 left in the account, auto debit.
  2. I think 5 is a clone of Cooper Discover ATR, say like a Sigma wild stampede or whatever, multi mile tire, like....this one: http://www.offroaders.com/reviewbox/showproduct.php?product=823 (one of my favorite website for research btw..)
  3. What is the Golden Triangle? I'm a gulf coast native but have no idea what that is, I'm guessing Beaumont, Orange and Port Arthur? You ever go wheeling down around Crystal Beach or High Island area?
  4. I'm in Webster, near Friendswood. Shoot me a pm.
  5. my guess is a bad 5th gear synchronizer, in which case there's no way I know of to fix other than a tranny rebuild, but you may be able to put a bandaid on it so you can live with it until the entire tranny falls apart, or like you said just stay out of 5th. I also want to say failing throwout bearing but if it were that I think it would be related to every gear.
  6. I know I'm playing with fire here but I think I saw one of these the other day, and I actually did a double take on it. In person this thing (if it was the new Path that I saw) looks edgy and slightly aggressive with a nice stance, it didn't look anything like the utter soggy milktoast with chinese mustard on top suv the way they made it look here in the promo vid. Based on what I saw the other day, midsize suv with a V8 badge on back and Nissan badge in front, not too much body work, nice suspension stance, I'm inclined to pay a little more attention to it now. I know the difference between the Exterra, R51 and the Armada giant cruise ship that it is, this vehicle was neither and outclassed all of them. I also know it wasn't a Rogue, Juke or Murano. It looked tough, I was surprised. Go ahead, throw your rocks...I can't deny my feelings...until I take a harder look at it instead of passing by and saying "Hey! I think that's the..."

I would go for the bike over the go-kart, definitely. I like those big wheel yammies and fat cat hondas.
  8. I'd say T is probably the highest I would go, do you really ever expect to be going 110 mph? I like those cars too. I'm proud of Ford for that one and the Focus, and new F150s and Raptors. Is the speed rating literally only just the speed the tire is rated for or are there other variables factored in / out for the tire generally speaking, i.e. handling, sidewall stiffness, mileage rating / longevity.
  9. I was wondering about your fuses..but then I thought, 'well..it DID just come out of the dealership where they would have found a blown fuse if there was one...' Unbelievable. (sarcasm alert) It's strange you had a bad deal and were given the run around by the dealership; when my Altima was in, they tried to pull a fast one on me too. After paying $600 plus to fix the antenna ring, we pick up the car and it won't hardly move, won't accelerate. My service manager says to me, "Well I told you the distributor seal was bad and had oil seaping out of it, don't you think that could be the cause of your car running badly? (get this, then he says) Oh and by the way your car wasn't even running when you brought it to us! Turns out he'd had one of his guys loosen the adjustment nut on the distributor and delibrately screwed the timing. There was a time that I had my own timing light and socket set in the trunk, it would have taken two minutes and I could have fixed it right there in front of the guy, ohhh how sweet that would have been. "Hmm, looks like it's running great now huh!?"
  10. I wonder if he ever thought after all his hardwork, "One day people will see a pic of my truck and try to really figure out if it's an r/c model...hmmm" I actually did kind of start thinking it was an r/c too. Its like somehow the photographer used a wierd lens speed and it threw off the size / spacial relativity of the truck and surrounding environs.
  11. I was never hacked as far as I know, nothing strange has happened on my account, here or anywhere else.
  12. Wow, very nice find..that's amazing condition for 300K. If I were you, I'd definitely keep full coverage on that GEM!
  13. I had the same thing happen to me as well. Ended up paying over $600 for a new immobilizer ring that somehow fits around the ignition column. 2001 Altima. Check with your insurance agency and ask if they reimburse for towing fees, State Farm hooked us up twice in one week. Two separate towings over that stupid immobilizer ring.
  14. "...Pathfinder when you : Are so HAPPY to finally find one in a junkyard, that you can actually pull stuff off of!
  15. That guy here on this board that got horribly stuck was using the km2s, if going with the BFG I'd definitely go with the original mt. BUT..I guess in all fairness he probably would have gotten stuck even if he'd had boggers or swampers or TSLs or whatever they are. You know in this league of tire it's not about performance anymore but price, fitment and personal style because you probably can't go wrong if your choosing between tires at this level.
  16. I forgot about the Treadwright Guard Dog, I've heard some really good reviews about these Treadwrights, probably a really great way to go actually, cheaper than dirt and seems to be a quality product, I kinda wish I had looked more into these. I just looked at NTB.com and they've got Federal Couragia mud terrains for around 130 to 150 in our size range but I class that into a harder core tire, wouldn't want to live with it on the road too much. https://www.treadwright.com/p-12-31x10-50r15-guard-dog-m-t.aspx
  17. delete this one, don't know what happened here.

Yes, exactly, we all know the Toilet police will fine you for not being buckled in, because..you could fall off and sue the toilet manufacturer. (is that how that went? I don't remember that episode...)

I'm loving the carbonite Hans Solo coffee table and the nuts and bolts chess set! How great and unique is the Human Being for original concept creation. I love it.
  20. I would skip the Goodyear Authority, those look good but I personally get a bad feeling about them, call it instinct but they worry me for some reason. The Mickey Ts and Dick Cepeks are big name offroad racing brands which would be fine but overkill and probably cost another third or two more than they should. Where I do agree the Duratrac is a great tire, it seems to have a short life due to being a little on the softer side...I'm on the fence with this one. I don't know the Fierce brand, and Firestone is another one that scares me, I stay away, leaving the BFG M/T long lasting mud / road tire (rumored to get 60 K out) , I did look at this tire for a moment, only reason I opted out was because of road noise or hum and the Hankook M/T I also really liked a lot...The Hankook is my top pick, and then the BFG below that from your list. Not on your list, which I rate above the Hankook is the Cooper Discoverer STT M/T. I have a set of AT/3 WHICH I LOVE, have not gotten stuck yet with them tho I've been through some light to some what moderate areas, there are times I wish they were an MT instead of A/T...but I swear to you everytime I see a set of BFG A/Ts on another truck I'm again reminded how happy I am with my Coopers.
  21. Those spider gears pictured above are not from Ferrariowner123, those are from Kyle94 just showing how his own broken diff looked for comparison and I think the little sliver of metal that the diff magnet picked up looks a lot like one of that shattered disc of Kyle94s in the center. The length and width of it, and the texture all look identical because you wouldn't get a little tiny piece of metal from one of those big chunky spider diff gears, either big broken pieces or tiny metal shavings.
  22. oh wait, I think I get it now, thank you Ferrariowner123, it's like every dufus listing basic mundane items on Ebay as "L00K!! RARE!!" I swear I'm so sick of scammers and thieves and people begging you to buy their B.S.
  23. I don't know who 01Silverpathy is but had I been looking for this kind of item I'm sure I probably would have taken the bait on this one, it looked legit to me, how would anyone ever be able to tell the difference? This doesn't look like the normal Craigslist scammers I'm used to seeing that throw their spam everywhere for pages and pages
  24. Hey DJ I think I've still got a functional ignition module I can send you, put it in little bubble mailer probably cost a buck to send to you, it could be that you have a failing module. PM me your addy or a post office box and I'll get it out to you no charge. Oh yeah, forgot I've got a coil too! It's yours, no worries, Just let me know.
  25. I recently discovered there is a very delicate, oh lets say (because I don't know what it's called) timing wheel / disc under a little dust cover inside your distributor, after you remove the cap, take off the rotor, there are two philips head screws holding tight a little round cover, remove those and very gently and without touching perhaps, inspect that disc with all the little slots in it, if that has any dust or foreign debris it will cause the laser in that little box to read incorrectly, it seems to me it works like a cd player laser, it scans those little rectangular holes and translates into binary code for on / off signals, for what I got no clue but it looks important.
