  1. Nice job mike. Oh ya, my engine bay is cleaner than yours
  2. I fit 4 kegs in the back for a friend, without the seats down, so I assume I could probably put 6 or 8 in with the seats down. That'd be a lot of weight though! Proof: (note the seats WERE down but I didn't need the extra room, I just thought I did)
  3. Simon you and Nismojunky can race, I believe he has a 3+3 and 33's as well on his 89....
  4. Yeah but our engines put out 155hp and yours only 145
  5. Strange, for me, even if I'm on the highway doing 110 at 2700~ and hit the a/c, not that I need it now, it will cause the clock light to dim and you can feel the load when the clutch engages. My mileage actually went up with the 31s on, as opposed to the 235 75 r15's. Maybe he should get bigger tires
  6. You can try having it flushed and have them add some lucas tranny fix, but it may be too late. Also, install an external filter and bypass the stock one.
  7. Ahh THATS where that noise has been coming from.... I've been trying to figure it out for a while now! So many new parts laying around, no time to install them.
  8. Simon, when you turn on your a/c does your clock light dim? Also, do your windows go up kinda slow unless you're moving? Strange
  9. It's probably because we don't have little girly arms
  10. Yeah I did the same, I had 16 records. Almost half were ownership changes. And according to carfax, I have low mileage!
  11. Well I've managed to hand wrench most of the bolts on my pathy so far, other than the crank pulley bolt. I'd like to know what the symptoms of them being worn are though....
  12. I pulled mine off by hand....
  13. Holy crap mike how much did that run you? I'm adamzan on the cntc board btw.
  14. I will let you know on the PITA factor when I do them this week, from what it looks like, its just unbolt, slide the old bushings off and slide the new ones on with the crush tubes. Will need a few cans of pb blaster though.
  15. That would be your tension rod bushings, also known as strut rod bushings. When you buy them make sure to specify that your truck is 4x4 as the 2x4 ones are different.
  16. Maybe alternator bearing? My father had the same kind of bearing-like whirring noise when we bought it and it turned out to be the harmonic balancer, as the Nissan mechanic explained to us, there is a rubber insert inside of the assembly and when it wears out it starts to make noise, and it can fly apart. For us it was done under warranty.
  17. I use Mobil1 5w50 synthetic in my 95, but am gonna switch to 5w30 for the winter. My 93 hasn't had an oil change in like 2 years as it is in storage and never driven. But my dad always put castrol gtx in it. 20w50 I believe, almost no wear on both of my engines.... And for filters I use the motomaster brand ones (Canadian tire) as I do not want a fram filter on my truck ever again. To each his own I guess....
  18. SE and LE I think with the sport power or convenience package, don't remember exactly, I didn't buy mine new
  19. Depends on whether he has rear disc or drum. The drums are manually engaged by the cable, but if he has discs, then the rotor has a smaller drum inside it that is used for the parking brake....
  20. Hopefully he tried to cover them with something at least. I don't know if that would make any difference though. Looking awesome man.
  21. Same color as my truck Nice pathy, like those lights.
  22. Yeah I had a frame wearguard and the oil was dark after 3000 miles. I put a motomaster (Canadian tire brand) filter on before adventure weekend, and I'm coming up on 3k again, and the oil is still relatively clear.
  23. I'll take a pic of mine and show you.
  24. OMG I want!!!! Tex is that a boat in your pic...............
