  1. Well its just the fact that, it never used to do it. Which would indicate a problem. I am going to run it till it dies though.
  2. Are you sure? Cause I can put mine to the floor from a stand still or 20kmh and it will only hit what looks like 5900. It doesnt' touch the redline but it gets damn close. And it wastes a lot of gas haha. I usually let it shift between 2-3k rpm...
  3. That not too many we got ours with like 45k and it was fine up until now just that the roads around here have gone to crap. Your welcome
  4. Actually it is, ever since the alty started whining, it whines over the speakers now too..... Then again B I live in canada with all the slush and salt. That could probably do some damage.
  5. Check your rear shocks, rear control arm bushings and tire pressure. On our r50 the rear shocks wore out like that, it was extremely rough. How many miles on it?
  6. I'd have it tested somewhere before it leaves you stranded...
  7. To add to what my1path said, yes it's (the splashguard) pretty important, I procrastinated and now my alternator is whining.....
  8. He's in BC I believe drinking age is 19 there
  9. That's how mine is too. The interiors on these trucks are pretty tough. I also have a 93 and a 95, love them both. I love my time machines to the 90's hahah
  10. This sounds like it could be part of the issue, as sometimes, the truck will start with a tap of the key, or, if it sits overnight or a couple days it lakes 5-8 turns of the motor to start it. Thanks, I will dig out my multimeter and check that puppy. Yeah it's similar to your video except yours was doing it smoothly. Mine goes down and struggles immensely to come back up. It still hasn't happened again, hopefully it won't. I got a code 45 injector leak again last week. Strange how in between these spells it runs fine and as far as I can tell, gas mileage is relatively the same. Though I never really floor the truck around.
  11. That woman's sister was an r-tard. You don't swerve on the freeway to avoid a TIRE.
  12. Well this morning before I left for class I had to fill the washer fluid, and I decided to wiggle the connector to see if I could cause it to act up, I wiggled it a bit and nothing happened. And B yes the CEL works just that it never came on when this happened. Come to think of it, it was really rainy and humid this past weekend. Maybe that had something to do with it.
  13. That will be the first thing I do if it happens again. I noticed that my 93 had a little rubber protector/grommet thing over that part. I guess with age and heat they just degrade and fall off...
  14. Will it put out a code even if there is no CEL? Mhmm, now just to wait and see if it happens again I don't have a pile of money to dump into this thing so hopefully it's something simple. I may park it for a bit and drive my grandmas car again until I get it running better. But we'll see.
  15. Hmm Maybe. I know the TP sensor is good, it was replaced a little while ago as I thought it was causing another problem, but it didn't affect anything. I have 2 spares now. MAF is known good as well, because when my cat clogged and the truck wouldn't run they checked it out too. But, I'll give it a cleaning this week anyways. Other than that it runs OK for a 95 with 155k miles. Except that it does need a bit of a tune up. But the truck should still RUN. I don't think you can adjust the TPS or MAF on a wd21....I think they're either there, or not
  16. The first time this happened was on Saturday, I was driving back from a friends place, and when I when to take a slow turn on to another street, the steering felt hard, and then I saw the truck had died. I was like wtf. So I coasted to the side of the road, and tried to start it again. It would crank, start and die, crank start and die. Eventually I got it running, but it was idling from 1k down to like 200 and up. So I revved it a bit and it seemed fine and I drove home without further problems. Sunday morning I go to go to my dads house at about 7 am and when I'm almost there it died at a light. This time it started right up but was idling funny again. Although It would never stall while at cruising speed, and if i gave it gas it revved fine...I didn't get a CEL either. I also drove it to school and back today, it was fine. I have no clue what could have caused it. I looked under the hood and checked for obvious things (loose hoses/wires etc) but everything looked tip top. Would appreciate some wise words... I actually saw the PO at school today I will update if I find anything.
  17. Cardboard end cap glued inside..... http://www.knizefamily.net/minimopar/oilfi.../reference.html
  18. Yeah I was told the same. It's called an anti-drain back valve I think. Madmanmike, maybe try and use a heavier weight oil.... like a 15w40 or 20w50, and see if that makes any difference.
  19. My lifters only tick for like 2 seconds when cold, and that's only if its REALLY cold or the pathy sits for a couple of weeks. I also found going to a synthetic oil eliminated the tapping on slightly cool days.
  20. I can hear the ticking, and that does sound strange. I would give the engine and engine bay a good once over to make sure nothing is loose, and then go from there.
  21. Zibi we have the same problem here. A bunch of really really big hicks get plastered, take they're "jacked up" chevy trucks and ruin the trails for everyone else. I would never drink and wheel.
  22. Lucas fuel system treatment for the win
  23. I ordered my dads tires for him from tire rack. The service was excellent, fast, and the deal was awesome. We got 4 stock r50 size dueler at revos' for like 420 bucks shipped!
  24. If it does it with the battery disconnected, you have a magical pathy!
