  1. and that doesn't get too hot? Nope, not any hotter than it would get crammed in a closed up glove box
  2. It might be, but from what I remmember the TDs don't have an ECU. We don't have em in the states so I have no experiance with them, just remembering a post by a Swed on another board about them.
  3. Also figure the price, which would you rather pay to replace $35 for a Steely like Rock Crawler vs $150 and up for a "good" aluminum wheel? If you really care that much about having a bling bling wheel offroad, go ahead. Like I said before I'll take the plain jane steel.
  4. What about spare parts that are known to go out on the trail like CVs, CLs, TRs, bearings, hubs,T-bars?
  5. The AutoZone I go to actually has some good guys working there, but I know what you mean, been to a few that they were lost without the computer and a part #.
  6. If it's an auto there is a green wire with a yellow stripe that will need to be cut and spliced, it runs to the tranny ecu from the main ecu. All the other wires run from the front. I did the tupperware trick with mine, water tight
  7. Wheels should fit, but like stated earlier Nissan needs a big hole in the hub.
  8. I'll stick with steel off-road, I kiss too many rocks and can take a little wobble from a bend, but would be breaking aluminums all the time.
  9. Probably true. What's fun is when the guy at the parts counter feels lazy and makes you go pick your own parts out of the back room since you want something different.

    Air Lift

I think he was talking about the pucks for use as air bag spacers, they sit inside the springs.
  11. How thick of leather? I do leather work and have a couple sides laying around
  12. All I had to do to fit the small one on mine was back off the adjuster completely to slip the belt on.
  13. Not that I like to see the demise of a Pathy, but it would be nice to wheel with you in something with a frame next time Hope all goes well, no matter how it goes man.
  14. I used a stock Nissan belt from the dealer last time and it seamed almost too small. (Sounds like the story of the three bears )

    Air Lift

Yeah resolution helps with fitment. I have my favorites open on the side and his posts still fit. Anyway, back to the original topic; All I have heard about the air assist for the rears is they help when you are loaded down or towing, otherwise they don't do anything for ya.

    Crunch

And trying to force jerks who speed up to block you from merging when you are doing it right! :furious: People here if they are on the road they will either speed up or slow down rather than stay constant, the people merging tend to either speed up just enough to cut you off or stop and wait for an invitation rather than match speed and fall into place. I constantly get behind people on the on ramp who go 25 until they reach the end of the ramp, then speed up. But my refferance above was to the people who decide that if they pull beside me and stay there while they are merging into my lane, under the assumption I'll hit the brakes for them. Really pisses me off I just keep my constant speed and let them figure out what to do about it. Speed up, slow down, go into the ditch I don't care frankly.
  17. Well, if he's in the vents, just hook up a large shopvac to one vent, close off all the others and try to suck him and anything he's left in there out.

    Crunch

Me too, but most of the time I'm too busy trying to run the people who don't know how to merge into the ditch
  19. Any off the shelf unit will work, just remove the idiot light sender next to the oil filter and run the plumbing into there.
  20. Just be sure to spray down the rear bolts, they go through the floor and ar exposed to everything underneath the car. When I removed my seats (replaced with Maximas) the rear mount bolts snapped off . At least they plugged the holes in the floor .
  21. nothing wrong w/ 2wd... Don't make me start the list.... :contract: what list? let's see this list. List or reasons to go 4wd over 2wd, list is too long :type: In my 93 I use the stock cup holders with no trouble, and the 88's center console is missing it's lid, so 2 drinks fit in there perfectly.
  22. Wrong year forum, but anyone know if the MSD should go before or after the ignighter on an 88? Also, is the tach adapter needed for all years?
  23. I saw a few overseas that had a rack that attached there. Mine is all on top as well.
  24. It covers the mount for either a light bar or a rack option they had. If I remember when I looked at he inside of mine there were 2 nuts pre-welded in place and the 4x4 emblem was just glued into those.
