  1. It might have been a specific dealers special. Some dealers will customize a few trucks on there own and sell them as "special editions".
  2. They do make fire retardant ply wood, but it's not something you'd find at Lowe's or Home Depot. If there is a "real" lumber yard close by ask them about it. The stuff will smolder a little with direct flame, but it won't catch or sustain a fire.
  3. Most of the "removable" parts look OK, would make a perfect parts pig.
  4. Calmini makes a set. http://www.purenissan.com/t-case_gears.htm They cost more than a good used Pathfinder though
  5. Well since part of it is making and physically switching electrical contact.... I'm thinking mechanical as in like mine which have a cable and lever.
  6. No I don't mean dual T-cases, I mean twin sticks for the T-case like you can with an Atlas or D300. Basically there are 2 shift forks inside the T-case, but only one shifter, so you rig it up so that you have a shifter for each fork. It can allow you to use your T-cases Lo gear in 2wd, or lo gear in front high in the rear, etc. Can cause harm if used incorrectly, but can also help in certain situations.
  7. BTW, it's been a while, but I think it was a 17mm to remove it.
  8. After mine flooded the first time it had sloshed over into the fan and the fan was making horrible noises. I removed the fan, disassembled it, cleaned it , lubed the friction areas and put it back in no troubles. As for the switch, it's not mechanical if it has electrical contacts.
  9. I heard of one done on a Hardbody that had the engine tranny and t-case swapped. There is also a guy on Pirate that was working on divorcing a TX10A case, but it looked like a hell of a lot of custom milled parts. The 720 T-cases are able to be doubled, but they also have a different output. If anything I would rather do a dual stick mod on my Pathy.
  10. True, I thought I had fixed mine in my old Honda once, put everything back together and it started binding again, took it all apart again and found out the bolts on the bottom of the window weren't completely tightened.
  11. Guess it just makes it look taller sticking up like that.
  12. Right behind where the throttle cables are attached on the TB on the drivers side of the manifold. The PCV valve just looks like a bolt fitting where the 1/2" hose connects.
  13. One of the tracks might be kinked causing the hangup. At least it will go up with help right?
  14. Not in Pezzy's but your's still aren't there. Is that a 60" HiLift?
  15. All vehicles in Japan have those, unless they are a cab over vehicle. Kinda like the European turn signals on the side of the fender. Different places think different things will help with road safety.
  16. It's mostly for Rock Crawling, just allows the motor to turn those big tires on the rocks with more torque and less speed so they grip the rocks and not spin so much. Our T-cases are one of the better ones stock for low gear, a lot of others use the doublers to drop their high stock ratio down.
  17. I agree, clogged drain, look for a 1/4" black plastic tube comming out of the firewall just below the heater hoses.
  18. Just a sound resonator for the intake, I got one laying around here in my shed if anyone wants one.
  19. Damn, hope you heal up quick man! My wife has a herniated disk that won't heal and Workers Comp won't pay to fix. They said thy would pay to have her nerves deadened there , but not to correct it in any way.
  20. That last one actually looks like it might have some strength to it, compared to the others which look like kinda flimsy to me.
  21. Me too, and I only get worse if someone takes it the wrong way and gets huffy about it
  22. Welcome to the board The console is held down with 6 screws 2 in the front tray, 2 in the center tray, and 2 in the bottome of the cubby in the rear. You do not have to remove the 4x4 knob to remove the console, the boot is just held onto it by 3 metal c-clips that pop off and back on easily. As for getting it over the tranny shifter, after all the screws are out lift it up the whole base where the shifter slides and the gear indicator part are seperate from the console so it leaves a nice big whole for getting around the T-handle.
  23. True, but I think you done went and insulted Pezzy... Hmm, would that apply x2 for her ?? B Hey Pezzy, you're not a red-headed step-child are you? If so, I seriously did not mean it. Am I forgiven? red headed, and i do have a step-family... I'll be ok... eventually the trauma will wear off See this is why this board rules! No one is trying to hurt anyone and everyone seems to get along.....God that sounded Sappy! Sorry.....(Hanging head in shame) :gossip:
