Both of mine are metal. I repainted the one on my 88 grey, but it might get repainted again soon. Paint is cheap.
-
No they used 3 different greys a dark grey, a light grey and a tan that is kinda grey tinged. Within those different parts are different greys too. What are you trying to re-color?
-
It all depends on what you want out of it. Are you gonna use it like a; station wagon, off-road rig, work truck, mall crawler?

I need to get a pic of my 4way mount. It hides under the deck cover over the old back seat

I usually load things on my racks from the side so the thought of hitting the spoiler never occured to me.
-
That's it's primary function, to deflect the air across the back window and help keep it clear of rain or dust. My 88 doesn't have a rear wiper, but the wing does help keep it clear. The 93 has the rear wiper so I make use of it, haven't noticed if the spoiler has helped or not.

I just added one on my 93. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y143/grim...nder/93wing.jpg I got it out of the junkyard, you need to grab the window hinges as well since they have the rissers for the spoiler on them. To access the nuts for the top side of the hinges, just pop off the piece of trim above the window on the hatch. On the window side of the hinge you can see the philips screws.

Which setup do you have? there were 2 stock setups the ones in the bumper, and the ones under the bumper with brackets attached to the body?

Body Lift: Question about front bumper
GrimGreg replied to EvilLex03's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I like how mine hangs down about an inch after the lift....ooooh and I can move it up and down too :cool2: -
On Pathys they use the upper stock bumper mount and the tow hook mounts for the ARBs and TJMs so the bumpers actually need cut in order to add material above the bottom mounts. Xs and Frontiers have little extentions sticking out from the radiator support that D21s didn't, and their bumpers mount on those.

I used to own a CJ5...or what was left of one at least. Also have driven a few others. I like the CJs (not Wranglers), but all other models are garbage in my opinion.
-
Yep. I'm not sure yet if I'll just do a front cage or full, I made my 88 a 2 seater so there's not much to protect in the rear anyway.
-
The LE had all the extras except the external tire carrier (Iguess they figured who wants to see a big ole tire hangin on the back of a "luxury model). Both of mine are XEs, but my 88 had the "wing" , cargo rack and external tire carrier, my 93 didn't have any of that. Otherwise base models.

Tuners are just crybabies who have to stay on pavement, so they talk all big to make up for their inabilities.

It should be a FS5R30A Depending on what has failed you might be able to rebuild it.

They are in the plans for my 88 along with an internal cage. Unless you have a mount point (for the shoulder straps) level with your shoulders for the belt I don't recomend them, they can actually cause more injuries at speed. Some people think they look cool so they install them and mount the shoulder belts to the floor behind the seat, in a wreck that type of mount will not stop your forward momentum above your waist, it'll cause the seat back to collapse and your face to go into the dash.

The bolt patern is right, but i think the backspace is more than the Pathy can use. If I remember right the front suspention parts will interfear with them fitting. Not positive about that, maybe someone else knows for sure.

Flooding passenger floor when AC is on
GrimGreg replied to pmercado's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
A good list of part links would be cool, maybe we could even start to keep a list with rattings from people who have used certain ones somewhere. -
I'm in Ohio and sitting around 850ft

I saw a report about newer homes built down in the Huricane areas using concrete. While it's a good idea for wind, it is heavy and will sink in that swamp land in a flood. There is floating concrete out there, it uses pumice. Maybe they should think about building out of that, then if it floods the house will at least float on the water and not flood and damage the inside. Sorry, still in mechanical side of my brain.....

Well, we use it in commercial buildings here. It's usually reffered to as "non-com wood", one of it's uses would be by electricians behind their electrical boxes. They'll attach it over the drywall and attach their boxes onto it. The main use we had for it, being a carpenter, was for wall blocking. Most of the buildings I would work on have steel studs, but we would add the wood inbetween the studs behind the drywall where we knew cabinets and such would be mounted. The treatment they give the wood makes it look all crystalized and they usually dye it pink so it's identifiable as fire retardant. It's used in commercial buildings because they are continuously trying to eliminate any type of flamible substances in the construction. http://www.archtp.com/fire-descriptions-noncom.php4

Looks like someone got excited in the drivers seat of that thing....

Just put your layer of alum plate between and you should be good to go.

Never looked around specifically for them, the only place I have seen them for Nissans is AC.

I have way too many to go into.
