Vsicks Pathy Posted November 22, 2007 Share Posted November 22, 2007 This site seems to be dead at the moment. Is it just the poho thread that breaths here? I just don't get the poho thread. Please keep in mind I have only ventured in there once or twice and that was years ago too. I can not partake in threads such as.... I had an itch or topics like that. Meaningless, got nothing better to do or say, don't want to think about anything either banter to my mind, but ever so popular. Has it changed in there? Is that where the action is? That aside, nothing is moving. The same topics are still up days or even weeks after their conception with very little in the way of 2 way traffic keeping them there? It seems that no one has anything interesting to say here anymore. It reminds me of a blistering hot day when neither man nor beast dare to venture out, where the slightest movement will leave you exhausted and in a pool of sweat. Have we become that lethargic? Participation here is effected some by the time of the year, and we are approaching the main holiday season (at least here in the US). This time of the year tends to be a bit slower than normal here. I personally have been away from the forums a bit more as of late, I stop in and read but have not posted as much as I normally would. This is not because of a lack of interest in them, it's due to the fact that I have been working on other things. Part of which I hope will end up helping the forums out after I am done. B You are quite right B, I do miss you. How's your lot over there? And what of your new (now old) job, are you enjoying it? Are you still off of those putrid cigarettes? Your Pathy has been quite the saga but I can relate. Mine has been off the road for almost 1 year now. Too cold to work on it and I too unmotivated after working all day and night. That's my excuse anyway. I was mating a gearbox that was not suited to the engine as well, and given the uncertainty of my success, I slacked off. The fear factor had well and truly crept in, that's what I think was really happening. I have all of the custom one off adapters made ready to install and yet I still did the unthinkable today. I thought for a split second about putting in the auto I have laying around. That would solve my uncertainty issues and it wouldn't cost a cent. Then I came to my senses. I went straight to the wreckers and bought a late model V6 engine (with very low K's) and a manual loom and computer, the latter are as rare as hens teeth and I was very lucky to get them. Yep, spending near on $1000.00 solved the uncertainty issues too. The engine and gear box will now work together, of this I am 100% sure because they are model specific. With my new found sense of security I have a time frame in place to finish the old girl. It should be ready just after Xmas. I can't wait to do the next mods either now.... Next winter that is. Why the stupid question B? There is only one place worth moving to if you are coming to OZ.. Melbourne Victoria. You and I can go to the pub and talk sh!t. It will be a blast. Highest employment rates here too and you get all 4 seasons in one day. You can drink the water, if it rains that is, and everything is close and handy. Beaches for summer, or if you prefer, a mountain river or creek to take a dip in after a hard days 4wding or gold prospecting. Skiing in winter in the mountains you were 4wding last summer. Nah, there is no better place than Melbourne. Its all here. Now jump on the plane and get your arse over here. Oh, see if you can drag mz along too. People have lives, as was previously mentioned, and you yourself have been guilty of having your truck sit for a year with nothing done to it. If you want more interesting content, do yourself, and us, a favour; post some! If you see two or three pages of new posts every time you check in then it must be a long time between drinks for you. Either that or you are confusing this site with another. Yes Counterpunch; America's most popular political site. A sad reflection, on the intellect of the collective, as you so rightly point out, that they have to get donations to keep a float. I have just found it dead here at the moment, that's all. No biggy... But now, suddenly, it is an issue, a "get a punch in" fest! I should perhaps shut my mouth in future about the health, or lack of it, that this site finds itself in. The last time this site got stuck in "ground hog day" I suggested a mass email to all, especially the long lost members, to remind them that we are still alive. That got the site pumping for awhile. I didn't see your contribution incidentally. But I shan't put any such suggestions or ideas forward again through fear of accusations of "bitching and complaining", accusations such as yours. The only problem with that is that after you've voice your opinions in the same manners over and over in a headbutting match people view all your opinions in a headbutt manner and possibly as criticism......maybe. This is a NISSAN forum not a political debat forum. And so many times what happens when V6 posts up... a heated debate or argument. Even if this is the "Off Topic" section can you try to keep it a little bit up-beat? 95% of V6's posts are some stupid political crud or bad news. I am sorry for those of you who enjoy seeing that kind of stuff on this forum but I personally would just assume go to a politcial website to discuss it. I usually do just ignore topics posted up by V6 and I will in the future but sometimes curiosity gets me. In this case it has pissed me off as I was having a good day until V6 posted that effin link of that poor kid. V6, I hope you do not disect this post and try to come backt with something that will start an argument as that will just clarify to me that you can not infact take it like Simon said.
