yes. although the procedure is not exactly quick and easy. It involves either: melting the silicon with a heat gun and slowly prying the headlight apart, or putting the headlight assembly in your oven on low heat and then prying it apart. Then, after you do whatever you wanted to do, you put it back together with bathroom silicone. Ive done this on my previous cars and it works great http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-technica...-headlight.html

infinqx4, i think that the spacer on top would drop the whole strut down an inch (or however big the spacer is) now, the other way that daddyrim just posted, is more like adding the spacer to the coil. the top of the strut ends up in the factory position so the wheel cant drop farther than OEM specs personally im wondering how this would handle.... AC springs already have a reputation for "topping out" horrendously, i cant imagine how the suspension would behave with a 1" spacer installed between the upper and lower mounts. The suspension will probably ride at its maximum extension, creating funny handling characteristics, no???

or get a GPS and compare it to that, most accurate way to check.

i had the same exact size BFG on my R50. Its a nice tire. Get ready for the difference in acceleration and braking.
-
damn that snake racing is a beautiful spacer such a waste to install it where ya cant see it!!
-
biggest tire that can stuff into the rear fender?

Well i had a 265/75/16 BFG's on a 16x8 rim, which is equal to a 31.5" ..... on stock suspension, even with a lot of trimming it was still hitting in the back on hard bumps. Stock suspension: Look at these 31.5's and think about how stupid 33's would look... my advice is: dont waste your time with stock suspension. i wish i would have lifted mine sooner. -
true, the front diff and axles do provide some weight personally, i think that if you're lifting a 2WD, dont go weak, go BIG at least a big spacer on top of everything

arbusa is the people to contact - NOT oldmanemu.com (they are just distributors) they will get back to u within 24 hrs i asked ARB about the spring rates, they told me that the HD is only suitable for pathfinders with a bumper AND a winch... otherwise i will have alignment problems i installed the HD anyways and it rides like a dream.......... alignment is straight! heres the email they sent me
-
wait ur 2wd?? if so then nevermind on the axles - and lift that thing to the sky!!
-
arcano, how did you check/adjust the rear proportioning valve? the instructions in the FSM are ridiculous, i have never adjusted mine, is there any way to simply eyeball it?
-
dude its raining here right now. is it raining in LA?
-
the only thing gonna be hog tied in my hood, is gonna be ur girl hhahaha

the front axles are at an angle... the taller you make the suspension, the more of an angle u got at the axle at, which is THE major limiting factor in our front suspension. You get that angle too far and the axles will bind and snap, leaving you stranded (you would not be stranded if you have freewheeling hubs installed)

it all depends. most people would underestimate the mileage and also you dont know how they were treated. HOWEVER if youre talking about the set that Tmorgan in Colorado, has for sale, i'd jump on that deal. He's very trustworthy and i vouch for him 100%
-
you dont need to, right away... but would it offroad better? probably... the only 2" longer rear shocks that i know of, are the Rancho 9000 (4x4parts.com) which arent even meant for this car and i read reports that the bolts dont fit without drilling them out and theres no longer struts for the front... spacer would drop it down in a similar fashion but you know the whole CV axle schpeel

the suspension is a lot of work so if you really plan on ever doing the GR2's, ya might as well just wait and do the springs at the same time. If your Napa struts are fine, then you can use those til they drop. but ya also gotta expect for the worst... how many miles on your napa shocks? I planned on using my existing GR2's only because they only have 40k miles on them, then when i pulled everything apart i was surprised by a dead strut... wouldnt extend on its own, this was 6:30 PM on a friday all the stores were closed, turned my install into a two day ordeal (and i havent even done the rears yet, as you know)

i now roll with 2 nuts on each shaft instead of one...... and i havent had a problem since!
-
spend a little more now and youll spend less later.... a few years ago i replaced my rotors with some cheap-o generic ones, and cheap brake pads, they warped so bad its not even funny, plus the brake fade was ridiculous (and dangerous) less than a year after that, i had to switch everything up and thats when i went Brembo / HPS and ive never been happier
-
thats what she said
-
nope, add me to that list
-
hahah the tire was so hot u should see the trail i had to return on, with the strut in this condition.... it was crazy! If youre still driving around then youre in good shape!
-
I have brembo "blanks" meaning they are not cross drilled or slotted.... they are flat face like stock, made in Italy by Brembo matched with Hawk HPS pads and im quite satisfied with the performance. they feel like the hotter they get, the better they grip. no fade. sorry no experience with cross drilled/ slotted on the Pathfinder. i read some reviews of the ones on 4x4parts.com that say they work good but make some noise when braking $235 a pair

i do about 3,000 miles a month, what makes you think i hardly ever drive my qx4? its my daily.

that was another story, unrelated to strut bearings (which were the QX4 originals) it was actually the shaft of the strut itself that failed, i was doing a rough baja trail and a good jump stripped the threads right off, now i have the right struts and i have the nuts doubled up on top so theres no way my new setup will fail in the same manner but i put in KYB bearings after this happened and they have been fine from 2007 til now, 2009
