  1. i knew it was somethin like that im sure once you get those coils on you'll be wanting to go higher too. its an addiction man
  2. no offense alexr50, but empty v, do you really wanna take suspension advice from someone on stock suspension??? i saw go the extra mile and do 3" i just did the 2" and i wish i had more....esp if i was 2wd i would have been on spacers by now
  3. and honestly.... i think they might be ugly too.... i cant tell anymore haha thats why i ask u guys it looks ridiculous on my car
  4. first of all 15x10 is very wide. but im sure it can be done. 6" BS will never clear the strut. you want the BS to be no more than 4.5 - any larger of a number and the tire will touch the strut. most R50 owners get the best results with 3.75 to 4 inches of backspacing..... the smaller the number, the more they will stick out. of course this is affected by width too my stock rims were 7" wide with a 4.5 BS my second rims were 8" wide with a 4.5 BS so the rim was actually in the same spot on the inside but stuck out an inch farther on the outside my newest rims are 9" wide with a 4.5 BS..... so they STILL the same orientation (if you ignore rim diameter) on the inside but stick out 2" farther than stock, on the outside basically, on this SUV, stick to BS between 3.5 and 4.5 (with those being the two extremes) you should be fine.
  5. hahahaaaaaa - its already done and sitting in front of my house. it involved a lot of cutting and a significant amount of bashing with a steel mallet..... it only rubs a little bit now pics sometime soon
  6. ya thats another thing. im wondering if i should get a rim with less backspacing. 3.75 to 4 might be better but again, its a 9 inch wide rim versus the stock 7 inch wide rim.... i dont wanna stress the hubs out
  7. hahaha @ this thread but seriously.... 235's rubbing?? that makes no sense
  8. em it would probably be too crazy to ship these to TX plus i already got a solid offer on em locally..... but they are 16x8 with 4.5 bs the new ones would be 17x9 with same 4.5 BS so overall they would "stick out" an inch farther or should i go less backspace and go with a wheel that REALLY sticks out?!?!
  9. this wat they look like with tires on them (just not as large)
  10. i can get a great deal on these, 17x9 mounted with BFG mud-terrain 255/75/17 (32"x10) what do you think of the rim style
  11. im sorry - come again?? is it ok to drive around without em?!?! cause the bolt snapped on one of mine so i havent wheeled it.......
  12. the bulbs for the AUTO climate control is a neo-wedge 4mm yes the 01-04 QX4 clock can be changed too. wanna see? the only thing can;'t be changed is the display on the climate control
  13. hahahaha me an InfinQX4 probably got the last ones they had nah just kidding, im sure they get shipments all the time (from Australia to Washington state) cause the springs actually have the manufacture date on the sticker and mine were from March 09!!
  14. *my "vocabulary" is so small* spring compressors. i was doing my rears and the spring compressor finally broke and let go, luckily the spring was already positioned in place so it just shot right into the groove where it belonged!!! That was the cherry on top of breaking the bumpstop bolt, boy was i happy to toss those spring compressors into the GARBAGE where they belong
  15. if you add the spacers AFTER everything is put together its like a 1-2 hour job. all you have to do is remove the entire strut/spring assembly, pound out the stock bolts, and put it back together with the spacers on there plus longer bolts. way easier than changing out a spring (which you are lucky is already done for you, if you buy from Tyler)!!!
  16. just wanted to correct this - OME923 is a medium front coil, ome928 is the HD front coil. (rocky road has them mislabeled, causing confusion all over the www)
  17. now that its all settled in, I'd say i got like 1.5" up front and i got over 2" in rear with the ome922
