  1. first of all i do not have OME shocks (which are monroes painted yellow and price doubled) i have flexed it out hard enough (i was stuck on very soft sand and it dug down gnarly) that the spring was loose and you could grab it and shake it around mine havent fallen out like pictured above, cause i have bumpstops still installed
  2. if ur R50 hasnt done this than you havent flexed it hard enough mine has done this (on drivers side only)
  3. boston not runnin any sissy ass sway bars and u know this, man!!!
  4. flex your r50 very hard until one of the coils (on the decomressed side of course) is completely loose, and measure it yourself ! bada bing bada boom!
  5. nope. I'm 2wd right now. And alexrex20 is on stock suspension / stock tires so thats basically in the same category as 2wd. you are not alone!!
  6. never heard of such a thing. u dont have spark plug wire on your 2003 because they have independent spark plug coils on top of every plug... no wires.... they check teh emissions using the OBD2 connector under your dashboard, fuel cap pressure test, and the tail pipe sniffer. The only thing they should do in the engine bay is a visual inspection.
  7. LOL i love it they only want the easy stuff then again some shops get pissed when they get a customer who already knows what the exact problem is. Its harder to authorize an over-inflated quote with a knowledgeable customer.
  8. OME shocks and struts are actually Monroe and painted yellow. Yes they are custom valved for ARB but they are still a Monroe and i dont think they should be selling for $200 each. KYB GR2 is a great strut and only costs $120 ea
  9. the place i bought them from does not have a website or even a computer. G H E T T O ill check to see if they still got any left.
  10. overall its a slightly high price, but im surprised to see that they did not mark up cost on the springs. They did however mark up the struts big time.
  11. bfg mt's are being blown out in certain stores, really cheap. (they are replacing with KM2) I got my last set of 32" BFG M/T's for $450 !!! normally should be closer to $800 but then i tried to get them in 16" and they didnt have any so i had to settle for the $170 a piece BFG A/T
  12. i have the destination LE's (not AT) on my chevy truck and they just alrite. BFG's look better than the firestone AT in my opinion. But never tried the firestone MT's so cant compare
  13. LOL we're talking about 01silvapathy here. He doesn't know much but still learning!!

  15. my lower fan shroud is brokn too well not the shroud, but one of the clips that hold it on so its not held on very tight
  16. by the way - i remember a few years ago i made a similar thread asking about how to change a VG33 fan clutch, and i mentioned that i got a bunch of dirt in my eyes from doing this job, and you (xplorx4) told a story of how you always wear goggles because once you got a metal shaving in yoru eye and it caused a "corneal rust ring" and an eye doc had to basically take a dremel to your eyeball!! I never forgot this story and i am always very careful with my eyes now, whenever im under the old R50 and i can change a fan clutch with my eyes closed now!! (no pun intended)
  17. ive been using an autozone "TORQFLO" fan clutch, as recommended to me by "BURGPATH" several years ago i believe it ran me about $60 or $70 it blows harder than stock, for sure, and comes with a lifetime warranty. It did eventually fail after 3 years of hard use, (much shorter life than stock - possibly because it engages much harder than stock) but autozone gave me a brand new one for no additional cost (aren't lifetime warrantys great??) so i cant complain much about that. it blows so hard, my qx4 sounds like it has a turbo whenever my ac is on, or, if its over 85* outside. Last time i went camping, i pulled up to the camping site and one of my friends, who works on cars, says to me "whoa why is your engine fan blowing so hard???" i recommend it for performance but not so much for longetivity
  18. uck-say my ick-day!

  19. SNAFU is an acronym meaning "Situation Normal; All fskced Up". The acronym is believed to have originated in the US Army during World War II. In modern usage, "snafu" is often used as an interjection, as a shorthand for the sentiment expressed by the phrase. "Snafu" is also sometimes used as a noun or verb, referring to a situation that suddenly goes awry or gets screwed up, or to the cause of the trouble. For example, the May 19th, 2005 edition of The New York Times had an article titled, "Hospital Staff Cutback Blamed for Test Result Snafu."[2] The piece described a mix up with cancer screenings that occurred at a hospital because the facility didn't have enough workers to process the tests. I have the 4x4parts rear split bushings. We destroyed a 10,000 lb hydraulic press trying to get the old bushings out though! the second press finally did the trick.
