my car is not on your list, infiniti qx4 was made from 1997-2004 and your list of choices omits it completely
-
nah i dont want to snap my CV axles, plus not worth it for me to leave my car in a city 2 hrs away... for three whole days.....
-
i know your sliders look good, saw them over on nico forums. i do want the front lifted.... i prefer the raked back "socal" lifts vs the stinkbug where the rear is higher than the front dont care about ride quality, im sure it will be fine, only question is cv axle angle....
-
i'm glad i was able to help. i've read a lot of bad things about rocky road before, i guess this is another one to add to the list.
-
Just great. now im wondering if the real HD will be too much up front? I do not have a winch or bumper. Of all the people who have advised to get HD up front, i'll bet most of them actually have the medium springs from rocky road, which are falsely advertised as HD. Please advise
-
and yup... its confirmed. I downloaded ARB's Nissan catalog as a PDF from arbusa.com ome921 is light duty (but rocky road lists them as medium) ome923 is medium (but rocky road lists as heavy) ome928 is heavy duty (rocky road does not sell) so when you buy your OME heavy duty coils from rocky road, you're really getting medium coils. I wonder how many people have been shorted on this!!! The rocky road website is many years old...
-
according to http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/pathfinder-s...-35_38_593.html OME923 is medium duty OME928 is heavy duty
-
Tyler, i just noticed the same discrepancy and have emailed ARB.... but wondering if by any chance, you ever figured this out..... and how you liked the HD fronts?? Part # OME923 is listed as OME923 PATHFINDER FRONT HD (on some websites) Part # OME928 is listed as OME928 NISSAN R50 FRONT HD (on other websites) Thanks
-
once again $160 is a good deal.
-
Dont try to recall $hit cause u weren't there and u dont know how much i got them for. And why are you even on this board anymore, you can no longer afford a pathfinder but you still come here just to try and talk $hit, ur hilarious
-
thanks for all the info guys. ill probably go the spring compressor route since i never get a chance to use mine anymore. 01silvapath, what springs did you get? Was getting the new fronts in, easy or hard?
-
Probably a stupid question, but i have never removed the rear springs so i must ask what do you do? Is it as simple as unbolting the sway bar and jacking up one side really high? Or is there more than that? The FSM says to remove the whole rear axle from all the control arms, unbolt the propeller shaft, and remove panhard rod. that is just ridiculous!!!
-
Let us know how your OME spring install goes! I just ordered OME springs too, heavy in front and medium in rear. www.ruggedrocksoffroad.com I hope to get them by the end of the week!

Did you hear about the proposed increase in ethanol % ? http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/07/business...hanol.html?_r=1
-
and i use 87 octane, sometimes 89 but really it makes no difference
-
gearing difference.... the 4.6's will turnn tires easier so slightly less load on the engine
-
i read in some threads that OME tend to sag and should be replace every 3 seasons. Your thoughts???

can you believe the A/C gingcrazy was due to a bad battery? the battery wouldnt hold a charge for 2 mins but the alternator is in great condition, im wondering why the AC went crazy even with the car getting 14.4V? either way, problem solved with new battery -

FUELER replied to FUELER's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
well the 2 year old interstate battery was bad.... would not hold a charge. Alternator is in great condition 14.4v at all rpms. got a new wal-mart battery. now, to plug the climate control back in and see if it behaves .... -
hey if you need a guy in SD you cal call Les at Snappy Auto, he knows exactly what the job is because he installed the 4x4parts.com bushings on my 99... i provided the parts, paid les to put them in, and the total job still came out less than the price of OEM nissan arms... and the polyurethane ones will likely never have to be replaced again..... if you want i can ask him how much, just let me know

the battery is around 2 years old. Its a generic Interstate. ive done two drives so far 15 mins each. so not enough yet. but i am happy that at least its starting first try. Yesterday, it was taking me 5 or 6 tries before it would turn over strong enough to start.
