Nice! After ditching my clutch fan and changing the t stat and the coolant...my heat actually worked for once...(and my wife didn't complain anymore.) This comment brought back a memory... Funny (not at the time) and true (seriously, it happened) story.... My wife had a 1996 Saturn SL2 and bumped into a lady at an intersection, didn't hardly do any damage, just spider webbed the paint a bit, and crinkled some plastic... a few hours later, it is sitting in the driveway, windows down...the kids are in the little pool, and the wife and I are sitting in lawn chairs enjoying some time together...all of a sudden...BAWOOM!! The two airbags (steering wheel and dash) deploy...now how in the HELL do you explain that to the insurance company?? Went to the JY and got the dash piece and a new steering wheel...sold that POS...(my wife wouldn't drive it anymore, said it was possessed!)

Okie doke, figured I would deposit my .02 I have used the 10K Chicago winch, (bought it with the discount as well) and it is STILL on the truck I put it on, nearly 5 years ago. I have had NO issues out of it, and it does what it is designed to do, period. As for name brand... Ramsey is junk in my opinion. I made the mistake of buying one in my un educated years and it spent more time on warranty out, than on the vehicle. (They swapped it three times, before I just got my money back.) That post by the all knowing Precise....makes me want to ask the wife for 300!! I will probably end up with a cheap winch, just in case...

My initial thought was an airbag sensor...but...

Years back, on a rock truck I had, we used an A/C compressor with a conversion kit to have a motor driven compressor. Part of the exo was used for the tank. It was great...would run an impact all day long! On my path, with the SL and the BL, the tank would fit in front of the fuel tank if it was butted up against the body and tank...if you know what I mean...

It was not enough for me, but it may be different for you. I had to add fluid...but then again I dropped the pan....

Okay so I was thinking, and went out and had a look. When you crank your torsion bars, it lowers the front shock mounting point, so in essence it is in fact giving you more travel, but the spring itself limits such. The lower arm drops, as does the shock, so I could see where a longer shock could be used, because a factory shock on a highly cranked/re indexed truck, would be at max... Such little faith brother... No I am not claiming to be a fabricator by any means, but I do think it could be done. I have been poking around and looking, as my truck sits on jack stands...The real question is finding the proper wieght ration coil over and getting it positioned to keep the alignment right. Or would that be the challenge? Strictly for an off road vic? This is a great idea. And it could certainly work.

Where you going to mount your tank?

Had to replace my top radiator hose due to it collapsing under heat/pressure. And the AutoZone radiator cap did not work. Bought one from Nissan, and fixed the problems...

The safest method would be to get a piece of pipe and drill out enough holes for the already existing lines going into your accordion...pick up some grommets (Spectre, or in the Help section) and put em back where they were on the NEW pipe... But to answer your question...I really do not know...

Yea I do recall someone posting something about eliminating the torsion bars all together and using coil overs...hell that is pretty much what the yota's of new are doing IIRC. Wonder how it would work...
