-
what are smoking? many come on 35" tyres man. stupid chrysler. looks more like Qatar.
-
what, you didn't save the kia? lol.. congrats.

no idea on this rubber. would need a visual aid. btw. the vg30 head bolts are NOT stretch bolts. no need to get new ones unless they are damaged or warped.
-
well, you know that all that rust around here could have lubed it out of there.. better safe then smart.

E-brake problem. Loud clunk and no tension in handle.
94extreme replied to shortysmash's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
shouldn't but they could have gotten stuck in "close" if you have a bind or something. -
22mm. k9, there is a bung in there but my sensor itself was also spot welded to the bung.
-
the welded part isn't seen. you just spin the sensor itself.. mine was spot WELDED. definitely look close to see if that is not your case. i ended up destroying the sensor to remove it. good luck.

look under the truck. it should be easy to spot if the cable is busted. my never broke but is completely stretched beyond adjustment. -
any high temp grease will do.

this actually may be a blessing.. i'd be happy if they did that here to tell you the truth but gov knows that it would also mean loss in revenue.. and yes, we have a small percentage of the trails you have.. even if you lose a few.

Automatic transmission information for a 94 pathfinder LE
94extreme replied to Drunkencat's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
there is no write up because transmission rebuilding is definitely umpteen times more involved the rebuilding an engine. auto trannies came in a couple different species. i don't recall the year they changed from a 3sp to one with OD but sometime in the early 90s would be my guess. also, if you have a 4x4 don't get a tranny from a 4x2 the tranny shifting points (power button) are all controlled by the TCU. yes, it has it's own computer. i don't recall exactly but there may be numbers for your tranny type on the door jamb decal or stamped on the tranny itself. as to external cooler.. MANDATORY or you'll get really good at swapping those b.tches in and out. :D but if you are going to all this hassle anyway, why not throw in a 5sp in there.. i love mine way better then i ever liked the autotragic one. WHAT YEAR ENGINES COULD I USE FOR A 95 XE
94extreme replied to nissan25's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
any vg30.. the 93? and before were fuel injected.. the earlier were all TBIs and much easier to deal with.. outside of that there should not be one thing different.. the holes etc. ought to be exactly the same. -
definitely find a wiring diagram and try to trace the 3 circuits. it could be that all three touch and short each other out. if you're up for it, i'll look for one but i am sure hayens manual's one is decent enough. i've used it before with good results.

yeah, you could have them boiled off.

%^&*#! monster coolant leak from the rear top
94extreme replied to 94extreme's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
back of motor may be of help but the lower intake is going to have to come out.. the leak is somewhere under there.. it doesn't look like it will be as much pain as the upper. i'll post pics when i get it off.. maybe yet today.. we shall see. i'm not really sure how to deal with the fuel rains.. do the injectors have to come out first or is it all one assembly that can just be unsrewed and moved out of the way? the FSM doesn't really address this in the detail i'd wish. -
check the charge... your alt may not be charging properly. as to speedo... check the fuses.. and if that's all good, put the original cluster back in.. it could be the cluster voltage regulator that's acting up
-
it's been done with z-280 (maybe even 260?) front diffs. they are hard to find and rather expensive as the z-280 racing junkies grab them like vultures.

%^&*#! monster coolant leak from the rear top
94extreme replied to 94extreme's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
i'm going to have to.. looking for a cork to plug the lower pump hose. i think the upper may be ok open.. i don't think i need pressure.. it was leaking faster then i could pour it in the rad opening. we'll see.. not looking forward to making a bigger mess in the garage but it beats removing the stuff i don't need to remove. thanks B.. -

i've bent all the rubber hoses under the intake.. all the metal ones seem good too. -

k9, do you have a pic of the lower intake out of the car? i didn't find the leak in the upper part. the way this was leaking, it should be very noticeable.. nothing... all the freeze plugs and hoses/pipes seem just fine.. now i am wondering where this could be an issue on the lower part.. hope it's not a b to remove like the upper part was. -
there are other procedures to clear it.. they were written up around here somewhere..
