  1. alex's advice is at best dangerous.. please do not follow it and please fix your stuff.
  2. yeah, it's the axle seal that is most likely the deal here but you'd really have to take the rest of the components off to see better. but that is my 'guess' from what i can see.
  3. alex is right on with his "technique" here. that's pretty much how all cars work. i've never bought any special tools.
  4. that's because you actually have to keep it depressed.. at least that's how mine works.
  5. there is no better way to warm it up then DRIVING.
  6. if you have a set of gauges you can do it w/o a shop. your AC should run about 20F-30F less then the ambient temperature.. any less then that and you need a booster shot.
  7. hmm.. i couldn't find the thread.. maybe someone else started it but it is not in the how to's either.. sorry man but you have the right idea.. just have to have a bunch of extra clean fluid and it elps to have another person in the cab starting the engine etc..
  8. that's exactly what his write up was like.. 5gal bucket, i think.
  9. yes, find 88's thread in how to's on how to do the ATF exchange.
  10. i burp mine by driving it. or you can just do it via the rad cap hole. the older versions had a little screw in one of the hoses running to/from the pump/rad that you unscrewed until it burped.
  11. you CL is still shot, right?
  12. could be bad ground or a short somewhere too but definitely check to see if the alt is charging first.
  13. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=23405 O2? check codes.
  14. yup. top of the bottle jack and in the bag there should be: the spark removal tools and lug wrench/jack handle.
  15. some US states have some seriously funky laws related to 4x4s.. good luck mates.
  16. how about trying turning the motor by hand (use the crank pulley bolt w/ a socket and ratchet) and observe the dizzy?
  17. i can kind of see your point but i don't agree.. to provide someone with a link, I will have to do the same search they are capable of doing for themselves.. so, i gave you hints, something i would have had to do when i searched.. the main problem with search function is actually not the search function itself.. it is title creation.. a lot of titles do not specify the problem.. "help!" is probably the most common one and it could be just about anything.. so, it is in poster's best interest to be as good as possibly in creating the title of their thread. half the time the content of the thread can not be inferred from the title. it would be good for everyone if all titles were meaningful. most likely a good "how to" would get put in the how to or pinned. the "unfinished" thread is a normalcy on the internet.. not really how we can fix that at least here. yup.. pretty much my condition too. favorite this link, it'll come handy again.. i've fixed mine a few times now like this. lol
  18. me thinks it's your tie rod ends that are fubar. i don't think you could bend the IA if you tried.
  19. the only things you really need to work on a wd21 are: 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm, 19mm and 22mm open end wrenches (a few other huge sizes may be needed to do everything). a few sizes of phillips screwdrivers, and 10mm and 6mm? hex. it's nice to have one flat screwdriver, mainly for prying.
