  1. no true ABS on these trucks.. ABS like, sure.. on some later models. not on the highway. flip your visor or open your OM and read about it. you really shouldn't be going over 45mph in 4x4hi and 25mph in 4x4lo.
  2. thanks for the update man.. i just recall there was some commotion around this.. just didn't remember how/if it got resolved. glad it did.
  3. x3 on the seals.. the crooked hose behind the h2o pump is called by-pass hose. find it first because it may not be available.. find dr.bill's thread about the t belt. it's v. comprehensive.
  4. i take it the roof rack deal did go through w/o issues then? i couldn't find those threads the other day.
  5. check clutch fluid check tranny fluid -"- u joint -"- TC fluid -"- diff fluid note everything: smell, viscosity, suspension, level.. looseness of any of the other things mentioned above. then come back to report.
  6. let the PB work on it for a few days.. spray it everyday.. then either a jaw puller or pitman arm one.. maybe a whack or 100.
  7. to change the fuel filter, you need to pull the pump fuse while the truck is running and let it run out of gas. that de-pressurizes the system so you don't get gasoline all over the place. did your truck stutter or what not before you did the BL etc?
  8. the one that matches the components, you're working on, the best.
  9. the easiest way would be to use the bottle jack.. iv'e done that numerous times on different stubborn bolts. another way, you could use a closed end wrench to extend the moment.
  10. please do take your truck to a place that is made for washing.. river is definitely not that place. not cool at all.
  11. go with 2L, if it starts running out, then stop.
  12. no, they'll tell him it's fine.. Nissan insists that gl5 is fine for all their vehicles.. i asked every dealer in town. that is what they put back in a tranny, no matter what year. 98.. gl5 was around by then already, i bet that's what says to use in your OM.
  13. well, run your codes. o2 or leaky injector or line are my guesses right now. or maybe you overoiled the filter? <- if that's possible.. i don't have one of those.
  14. if you're going to do the CV you will have to pop those rascals anyway.. so you can check them then and decide how to proceed dependent on their shape.
  15. they won't.. and all you need to do is search around this forum.
  16. yeah, there are at least a couple of threads with them.. look through my post as i commented in the latest one last week or so..
  17. DL the FSM for yourself and have a look?
  18. correct. if you ever need a reference for some of these shorts we use here, there is a thread that explains them all.. it's pinned in one of the section too.
  19. side to side looseness can also be attributed to bad IA.
  20. where all the wires connect = connections
  21. ^^ timing is off or 02 sensor is kaput.
  22. my guess is that it's probably toast but try it again after it has a chance to cool off.
