  1. you got a 110v switch on there?
  2. maybe run some of the diagnostic modes on the ECU.. ?
  3. it's the same requirement in most states as in UK about the way light switch on/off but i haven't seen one person here yet actually do that. most of my friends have all their lights wired independently of the main lights.. it's just less hassle that way.. none of us ever turn them on in an illegal manner. it doesn't look like you found the wiring diagrams so I'll post one here that I just came across: if it's that important for you to wire in the back light hooked up to the main lights then tap the wire going to the front fogs as that switch is wired that way in the factory.
  4. got a pic Ramon? i have no idea what you're referring to here. Thanks
  5. i take you had one of those too?
  6. yes, pump buzzes. sometimes you can hear it sometimes not. highly possible.. there is a tail pipe hanger real close to the fuel tank. sometimes those will rust out and hiss through a hole right there where the hanger is welded to the pipe.
  7. count the teeth on the t-belt between the cams... or you could be off by not being fully TDC when you put everything together... check that oil pump ASAP.. you need oil moving around otherwise you're killing that brand new motor already.
  8. ^^^ guarantee that your switch did get hot though.
  9. the manual of my '89 said 91 oct or better.. i hardly ever put anything but the cheap stuff... the '94's manual says 87oct and that is all i ever put in it.. never noticed any differences in performance or MPG's
  10. yeah, i have had no muffled on several of my vehicles.. just cats.. and they are louder but not enough to get the attention of the popo's.. never had an issue... and if you'd add the extra tail pipe (mine were all broken just beyond the cat) then it would be that much quieter.
  11. you don't although the factory fogs are wired through the switch, iirc.
  12. good point. when you turn the key you should hear a slight buzzing sound from the rear, that's the pump.
  13. right and i made it a link. someone else made it go away completely.
  14. ok, you got fire.. so check/change plugs. i ran a set way too long and the truck wouldn't fire all of a sudden too. changed them out and all was well. hope that's it. all the other things mentioned, you might as well do too while you have the time.. those are all maintenance things.. might as well change all the fluids while you're at it.
  15. there are some good schematics around here but since it's been a while you have some searching to do.. or google..
  16. same here on this particular item. i'll take care of his sig in a minute.
  17. ok i did find this thread but still have no idea what is really going on.. what's it doing when you turn the key? is your battery dead? check that first.. i also read your other thread and what does this mean? : 'the t belt is alright'????? if you haven't changed it since you have owned the truck, you better do it fast.
  18. let's see about this compression. i am not really sure what the issues are that you're dealing with, i didn't see anything in any of your threads.
  19. measure the thickness or hight of the old and new bearings to compare. if all fails take the steering knuckle off and work it on that way.. it's a bit of a pita to get it back on but may be worth your while.
  20. all cylinders ought to be close to each other in pressure. do it dry and then wet too.
  21. mainly ashes and butts in mine too.
  22. good q.. http://www.drivers.com/article/715/
  23. there are a few pathys in the southern states running on LPG. i think those guys are/were on N4W, iirc.
