  1. You just like being king of sneaky tucked and hidden stuff! keep the updates coming, this build keeps bringing the sweetness (and we know I'm partial to 2 doors)
  2. I'm biting my tounge on having to read "I hate cupholders" here (followed by "they are allright" 3 posts later) though I am sure Dowser pretty much covered the general census. Just put it in your sig or something. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but get over the fact that people don't agree with it... no matter how many times you repeat then change it. I personally don't have use for the ashtray mount cupholder (my JGC console has them, wifes truck has factory cupholders IN THE DASH that holds 2 full drinks perfectly fine as does my one primary work truck. Neither has "sticky sugary dash boards) but since you have such hands on data and experience with this factory accessory that you speak so lowly of, you must have one. And since you seem to dislike it I will gladly purchase it from you... I can find somewhere else to empty my ash trays contents of pennies and sugar packets.
  3. Technically since it's a factory piece (all be it an obsolete, almost impossible to find piece), it is the exact opposite of being "ghetto". Screwing universal ones on would fall into that category LONG before a Nissan made piece specifically FOR a wd21/d21. (no offense to the person who actually did that since I know it wasn't you) Be kinda like calling a factory clinometer 'rigged' when properly installed using all the correct hardware and all but thinking your a genius for gluing a plastic dollar store bubble level to your dashboard...
  4. Id pull the fan and try again, just remember to put the nuts back on to hold the pully on.
  5. Wish I could dint that pic I have saved of the overkill rear shock setup... It brings the funny. (I'll update when I find it)
  6. sorry but that IS part of the cable... Go to a junkyard and pull one? Ask Alkorahil here http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=18653&st=0&p=315059&hl=genuine&fromsearch=1entry315059 possibly?
  7. the manuals are a little taller than the autos but about the same length... amazing the improvement a pair of little stick on blind spot mirrors can do to (you can even get 'adjustable' ones, have em on both trucks)
  8. Best bet will be to meet up with local members or a local 4x community/club. Open talk on the interwebs about trail locations that ain't OHV parks is generally a bad idea (that's how careless people who don't care about the sport and destroy/trash stuff and cause trail closure and give off road enthusiasts a bad rep)
  9. Might be an idea to ask on a s-series forum...
  10. If your going full tune up, might as well do fresh filters and an oil change. Check those diffs too! at more #6 hatred I still don't understand and even more at silverton breaking a rad... Though I ain't suprised
  11. What's not to like about an old Scout? Athestitacly I wouldn't have cut the grill out personally since I like the front end on them but it looks like it was done with some purpose so I can forgive it
  12. HB doner? Bench seat swap and dash mount e-brake handle swap time!
  13. It's a work in progress, I'll wait to even start forming an opinion till I see it bolted in Keep at it and make what YOU want, my opinion don't matter anyway... ain't my truck
  14. those epoxys are a bandage, they work (I've used them to by some time on a couple vehicles before, but never as a permanent fix) but keep an eye peeled for a replacement tank. A yard with people who actually have 1/4 of a brain would never poke a tank knowing they are an easily sell-able item (generally try to sell as a tank w/ float assembly & pump to get more $) though I would honestly save your pennies and go for a new one if possible unless your dealing with a reputable yard that will give you some kind of replacement guarantee (don't hold your breath but there ARE decent ones out there that will work with you) as you ARE getting a used one that may look purty but could hold fluids like a deep friers fry basket And that's converters your thinking of, ain't allowed to sell them used to customers (which some shady yards still will and just write it up as 'exhaust pipe' so it ain't obvious on the receipt)
  15. really the wiring "omg it will never happen because you have to cut everything" can probably be solved with some pigtails for the head unit you want to use, an aftermarket installation wiring kit for the truck, the wiring diagrams to match the stuff together, and some patience. I may personally not be a big fan of wiring but just because something ain't a 5 minute plug and play don't make it impossible. I'm not saying dive in head first but don't give up just because someone sais you can't swim without even putting a toe in the water. Look through those wiring diagrams to start and see if it's a feasable start then go from there on what you want to do.
  16. boo... your supposed to have no life and scan it cover to cover, explain each image in it, plus make paper copies for everyone. Poor team player...
  17. Keep it on topic... If you want to learn about YOUR motor, please refrain from doing it in a thread for someone with an issue with different one has... The litte 'i' makes a difference compared to the 'e' at the end of the engine code... research can be a good thing over assuming. OP, start with a code check, it's free and simple (I'd search the write up for you but I don't like the mobile search function. Think it's pinned in the how to section though). That will give you a starting point. You say you did tune up related stuff, are the plugs gapped correctly? Did you play with timing at all or even check it? You unplug anything and possibly forget to plug it back in? Do a slow retrace of your steps of when you did the work, double checking everything 'just' to make sure.
  18. I 2nd the something busted in the ignition switch thought. Your ignition could have been worn to begin with and another key used and jammed in to get it to turn what it did (hence the ability of removing it as well without turning it back) and now even though you are turning it past that, it ain't fully engaging into the start position. Pop the column trim off to and look for something amiss. wd21s/d21s are easy to steal, great for joyriders or someone who just needs a set of wheels to get outa Dodge in a jiffy, not necessarily a "Ohh, I want it" theft vehicle . They're on par with pre-PasslockII GMs on the break and go front. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=19755 that is the pinned topic on the Vehicle Security System with TSbs and some info that should help you (might have some relearn info you can use in it, that just requires time to do ) Not to get off topic but this line scares me. If your fuel pump is sitting there constantly priming with the key just on (only supposed to run for a few seconds at initial key on-ANY fuel injected car) please go give your mechanic a good hard for hot wiring the pump for me
  19. I don't know if my video camera records long enough to hit 60mph
  20. He has an imported turbo diesel RHD Terrano
  21. clean cut/tuck across the back there that thing is coming along vury nicely.
  22. I used to run cheap, no-name studs on the Escort in the winter... would go anywhere you would point the nose. Only reason I don't anymore is the thing is generally parked inside for the crappy months now so I haven't really hunted for another set
  23. That would be why a spacer is needed by some people (myself included) as I stated when I did mine, I just cut an old socket down to the needed depth. Still 0 issues since then with it as well
