So as we know, I have some odd resources that I don't exactly always use for good... well I found laying on top of my toolbox the oil filler from a 98ish Tahoe/Yukon (was a 2wd too ) well I figured it could possibly be useful (using the term loosely) and popped the hood on WhiteOwl. Unscrewed my 710 cap and screwed in the extended filler Now remember this is done to my TBI vg30i, not sure what's all in the way on a vg30e but IIRC it should still be clear of any onstructions. the cable for the cruise control DOES touch it, but bairly and not enough it would affect it and I don't know how close it would be to the hood of a non-bodylifted truck but has clearance with my 3" BL. Could be useful to someone who don't like reaching as far down to add oil, just something to do to me. Enjoy it, laugh at it, take it however you want

Could possibly be due to color variations and possibly the truck picture? just a thought

Yea, I belive adamzan added carriers to 2 trucks actually and remembet him sending a template or 2 out to people for drilling purposes as iirc the 4x4parts kit don't come with one anymore. Definatly a worthwhile "upgrade" to internal mount trucks as it clears up a nice area in the back and gives you something else to mount crap to!

The "cutting sheetmetal" is when removing brackets from a doner vechile... I swapped one on that way. The 4x4parts kit is the easy way, a few people here have used it, you want to go the route I did, I suggest a labotomy first

You got a short somewhere... Start at where your harness is connected to the truck wiring, not just the trailers wiring.

Bug Precice1, I belive he has some trickery that worked for a few people. I got a different setup so my "eff it, it's fine" approach won't work for you.

yea, defiantly make sure to mix, like silverton said... strait coolant is just a waste and plain dumb. We have global in everything at work and all our personal stuff (which is a mix of MANY different things from imports to "dex-cool specific" GMs to classic iron from back to the 50s to Cat powered 6500s... etc.) 0 issues with it in ANY of them, and it's not just a 2 month review... honestly I think it's easier on the gasket prone GMs than that b.s. enviro friendly dex-cool garbage that don't taste as good.

I use Prestone Global (it's green but mixes with all 'colors'), mainly because it's what we have at work. Standard coolant is fine in a wd21 though

my kinda solution! That or go full on contrast of colors! What color interior are you worried about matching? (I ask as my 88 has door panels of a 90-92 leather interior truck, the greys match perfectly. I would expect the blue or rapist-red to do the same )

I have no clue on the round dash, but know there was 4 holes in the metal bracing of the dash under the pad on mine for installing the clips to screw it down. And as I FULLY read the original post, just a fyi... The factory Nissan clino has an altimeter, not a compass as it's 3rd gauge. Why? Because ts cooler

that's B (Precise1) your thinking of man IIRC he made an adapter to fit one FOR a round dash TO a round dash. The factory clinometer is for RHD trucks. This isn't a problem for all us superior square dash people as it sits flat but on the inferior round dash trucks it would sit in an odd angled fashion that would look... just bad on the top of your dash due to the gauges being on the right side compared to the left on us North American spec truck owners. As for finding one... yea, ebay is gonna be one source (hold onto your wallet though, they usually get spendy) OR option 2 would be to bug some of our good friendly members here from some of those countries that HAVE them. (Think those fine upside-down banana bender Aussies and Sheep Herding NZ members as good starts )

Don't paint the bling! if I find a chrome 87-89 grille and actually 'buy' painted 90-95 (I know theres plenty of those out there) I will have a full house of wd21 grills, the d21 grill selection needs a few too. Nothin like having options

what I noticed lookin at 4runner ones, the "wings" look removable/separate pieces for them 2nd and 3rd gen ones at least... I did find an image that 'looks' similar (without side panels at least mounted) on a 1st gen 4runner though

Odds are you'll bottom a shock out long before slapping the axle against the frame, but I kinda like havign something for that 1 in 1,000,000 chance of something retarded happening and actually needing one

that is option #2, but wheres the fun in not aggravating yourself (and what its worth, couple of my crank window HB's I had, had the exact same problem at about 80% of the way up the window would tweak and the winder bind... but that was a window track issue, not the winding mech.)

anything is possible with enough time skill and money but the simple way will be to get door panels/armrests/etc from a doner that already has power windows. Wouldn't be a bad idea to find a doner anyway to get wiring harnesses and whatnot from to simplify the process. It will give you a good idea how the factory stuff is mounted too, nothing like a hands on visual aid
