  1. Shoulda made one into a quick disconnect while you were there!
  2. I can't belive that had an inspection sticker man! Keep burnin in those plates though and keep it one out of the j/y
  3. unfortunatly I think pics of that frame ain't gonna happen until you let me borrow your Delorean (preferably the Mr.Fusion one so I don't have to hunt for the 1.21 gigawatts power source )
  4. Clean and effective looking design. I personally agree with the reciver hitch remark though since I actually use mine. If you don't use it though and since I see some tabs for rings on there, not a major loss
  5. NOR is a decent resource but believe me when I say you will find plenty of knowledge here on your r50 that ain't over there (and not the bling and bump crap you will find on TheNissanPath). Check through the r50 section/some stuff in the garage/and dont be shy to poke through some members trucks threads to give you soem ideas/info!
  6. I musta had a wHierd setup frame on my HB before this then since as I said my brackets were ordered for a HB before hand as here is the truck that I transferred it from which had this front end before hand
  7. Mr.510 basically covered it other than I believe you have to remove the upper mount for the front seat belts that go through the trim as well (Should be 17mm). Be firm yet dainty as the plastic is 23 years old and does tend to get a little weak. Be slow and patient only doing 1 side at a time so you can use the other as your visual as to how to put the pieces of the plastic puzzle back together And welcome
  8. I did that "whoopsie" when I swapped KAs in a HB. Easy oversite, sucks taking it apart to pull it when replacing the flywheel from the starter chewing the teeth off due to the "off" engaugement...
  9. i think technically you have your exhaust tip on upside down, the little drain hole is 'supposed' to be at the bottom all about personal preference though. Don't forget to extend the breathers on everything else too!
  10. Get the handle and the front cable and you 'should' be good. I've thought of it myself when I get the thought to go bench seat and ditch the buckets.
  11. pink arrows are round about where the wd21 grills have the pins, green and pink on a d21/HB
  12. Grill: take out the side marker lights. there's 'pins' on the bottom of the grill that line up with 'tabs' on the rad support, a little lower than the bumper, line them up by putting the bottom of the grill in first sliding the 'pins' into the 'tabs' with the top of the grill still away from the truck a little (at an angle like this = |/ ) once in place push the top in flush and zip tie where the broken clips once were (or if you amazingly still have the clips, they will 'snap' into the holes on the rad support). re-install side marker lights. I'll look through my photobucket stuff to see if I got any pics I can make helpful I like my energy suspension bushing pieces. I personally put my order in through Steeevo here and his Rugged Rocks site and had a good experience, as most people will say here as well when dealing with him. There was one guy who had his order fall through the cracks though sadly and probably has some distaste over it.
  13. Not alot of Rancho arm owners here, they ain't really common. I dint see why an email to Rancho wouldn't bring up at least some part numbers. As for install, I don't see why it wouldnt differ too much from any other UCA.
  14. Nobody sets you up by tomorow, I'll try to remember to get you some measurements off mine (know you said you are hoping for r50 though in that other thread)
  15. not going there with the hood insulation yes/no thing as you already know of so probably read my thoughts there. As for the body shop... I would be on them about the marked work that wasn't done and half-fast work that was. You payed (through insurance) to have something done, get it done the way it should!
  16. I'm all about over complicating issues and using donated parts but can understand the want to make the job quick, simple, and more headache free. I personally would rip out the stuff from the dead truck (but again, like to overcomplicate myself... And the fact I'm cheap and everything 'should' be there) but would most likely suggest if there's an affordable kit that's more strait forward to go that route to others. I see/don't mind the point to DRLs (which are your high beams running at 1/2 power-no marker lights), they help with visibility for others to see you. Not so much for you to see better. I personally drive with my headlights on any time I go more than 4 blocks. And I ain't even touching the nothing matters for importing to the US comment...
  17. Burnin down the house!

  18. Just because you owned it with no insulation... there was still at one point in time insulation installed. All of my HBs of the past have had or had signs there was insulation at 1 time. The stock hood off my truck now and my parts truck both still have insulation (the stock hood has been laying outside for a year or so unprotected and its actually still in perfect shape under there) I have actually seen paint and bodywork get deformed/bubble on hoods (mostly on low clearance hoods on minitrucks when I was into them a little. Was a shame the work that got destroyed over it on my 1 friends s10) so it ain't total BS. MY hood has been fine but again, there is 3 extra inches of spare room and a hole in the middle of it so MINE has had no issues other than not-the-best bodywork (I wrench and rescue, not a bodyman and will never claim to be). Yes it IS there for a reason from the factory, as is a lot of things, whether it be government regulated or not. A reason is a reason. And 'throwing away all the useless safety mechanisms'? I can't honestly agree with that. When I did my interior swap my thoughts were never "Toss the seatbelts, it weighs less now!" Heck I (eventually with the help of a member here and his parts truck) upgraded the rear belts to a better-more modern design. This is an offroad site, safety is one of the concerns when we build something. Not removing it from the equation. (not trying to pick you apart, just not in exact agreement with all the comments. Remember I openly admit I don't have one on my installed hood and have no plans of putting one on. Takes up room to put random pointless stickers! )
  19. Sounds like tell tale signs of an alternator starting to fail...
  20. If you have people climbing over your truck, you need a shotgun, not a carbon fiber hood!
  21. Personally, I like the way that particular wheel looks in that color. I DID see a set of legos once polished (no centers) that I liked though. Might be photoshop time!
  22. HB pickups don't as they are leaf sprung unlike Pathfinders which are coil sprung and need the track bar to help with keeping the rear axle centered Dowser, great informative write up on a great looking product. Definatly on my list of stuff I want to order once I got some spare money (gotta couple things on the list ahead of it)
  23. Belive me, I'm not taking away from the wheels at all. We all know I like me some shiny to begin with. Not like you posted up those Dick Cepek Flat-Billars (I don't know that they're called but I see them on a bunch of Monster energy drink stickered- altezza polishers round here. Sucks because I kinda like them, at least some people wheel on them too). My distaste for spacers stems from a spotty past with them. As some know my occupation gives me a 'unique' choice of automotive resources, mixed with being cheap and a bit odd myself causes some wHierd things to occur. A set of factory bonneville aluminum wheels was acquired once here with brand new tires that the set ran strait, smooth, and quietly (and it was a simple clean factory wheel). Car of the moment was a Maxima. No matter what was done they would never run smooth with the small needed spacer to get them to clear. Those wheels afterwards went to 2 other cars with 0 issues as well. Had a couple 'wobbly wheel' and 'constantly come loose' issues with them as well. My past with them ain't exactly unicorns and glitter but I'm sure plenty of people out there will say issues are slim and I just was part of that slim percent... Many times
  24. GoPathyGo had a shop do it that didn't exactly do him right
