Good work B I remember MY1PATH writing about it, I just need to get off my lazy azz and do it myself. Hell I can put money down I have the jointer for deleting it!
-
When I replaced my master cyl I had 3x the time in bleeding than the actual labor (even if the master is a cake walk) and that was doing the damper first. Still gotta delete that stupid damper...

Understood

i believe ahardb0dy has a copy of it so even if he don't have a current source for it may be able to look up a vin for you. Might be worth a pm or I can ask him for you if you wish (and he don't chime in here)

Off the shelf touch up cans, while close will generally be off a little even when the correct code. You have to remember your putting a "mix to code" paint next to 12 years of fade and wear paint. A local body shop or automotive paint and supply shop can usually match WITH age in consideration (some of them have "guns" they can put against the paint that will tell them precisely how to match your exact pigment) and I know there are kits that supply shops sell tht can actually put it in an aerosol can for you. Though I don't know the price for that...

Confirmed it is the only code that was/is in it. It's on every trip as well. When I saw it Friday I didn't see any obvious underhood new stuff (he wasn't there for this issue, we were talking paint on the boat and conversation steered to it eventually). He's only owned the truck for a couple months and he personally has done nothing to it besides a new set of tires and some fluids.

Yea, most cars I've driven are like that, now Ive been in a few that DONT work unless the key i son as well (06-07ish style malabus right off the top of my head. And multipule of them, not just a 1 time thing)

A bunch of stickers, the top of my spare tire, a fishing rod, and the glow of my brake lights

I'm getting this info second hand and R51s ain't an area I frequent often so I figured I'll put this out here to pick at some of the other people around here that may mess with them more. The truck at hand: 2006 SE OffRoad Pathfinder w/4.0 The issue: VDC and SLIP light on, code C1142/also "abs-like" in some turns (both directions) Besides a half-fast google search of the code (a pressure sensor I believe he said) and making sure the brake fluid level was full, I don't believe any other tech was looked into (I drive a pathfinder so I must know everything about all of them right? )if it wasn't a friend I actually dot mind I wouldn't care, if more info is needed I can bug him about any time for it as well.

He was in a couple Kia ads, last year I think it was. Those cheesy ones where it's obviously a green screen behind him so different locals could pop their dealership pic behind him.

I've never towed one that was on fire for any reason (including accidents from every angle and roll overs, only 'exploding' from them I ever dealt with was due to the misprinted door tags that said 12psi and Firestone got the blame for it) I actually personally wrecked one (spun it and crushed both ends), walked away with a totaled car and some hurt pride. Just because it's funny don't mean they were all suspect to it, just like the whole side saddle tank 'issue' with old GM fullsize trucks. All it takes is a news company that wants to make some scare tactic news As for the Kia Soul, personal opinions aside its designed with crumple zones and built in safety, if the "feeling" of safety is a concern your either gonna have to get creative or move to something with a little more size that hamsters and Gary Busey don't try to peddle

Looks like a bumper tweak, a lenses or 2, and a bug shield would end enough of the imperfections for anyone to notice without staring for a while or pointing it out to them

Don't have nor do I remember seeing anything of the likes when I had the dash out of my truck for the interior color swap
-
I dot have the need but woul probably put those "cages" on my mirrors a couple zips with a welder and some metal stock and I could see those being not too bad to make. Now to figure out how to make them fold with the mirror as well...
-
When I was ignoring my clutch master cylinder going bad it would squeak a little when depressing the pedal, kinda like something needed lubed or rubbing a balloon against a window Try bleeding your clutch as well to make sure there is no air in it for the difficulty shifting issue (which could also be a master or slave starting to fail...)
-
I didn't see extended studs, wheel spacers with integrated studs yes (that may be longer?) but not strait longer studs... then again I'm a bit slow and my screen is disgustingly dirty Thanks for posting the info so as to possibly help someone else down the road as well, it don't help anybody if you keep helpful info secrets

Keep your emergency brake well adjusted, no lighting up your brake lights then as a warning!

I got an auto control panel I was gonna swap into mine but is far not worth the effort to make it work when the manual setup works JUST fine for me

I surprisingly don't mind the camo (though all the windows being covered would change) and I DON'T personally like the trim on the front of the scoop. Those can be changed though, otherwise I dig it and can always approximate work done well.

tow + 4 days storage that is close to average for around here so that ain't TOO bad. Still sucks YOU had to shell out the coin for it though. Would you like me to edit the thread title as well to reflect you found/got it back?
-
Sucks on the towing/storage deal (if you don't mind me asking, what were the fees? Just a comparison thing to me for areas considering it would be a "police tow"). If just police contracted, the towing yard wouldn't even have the owners info to begin with buy the police should have still notified either way... Glad you got it back relatively intact
