What other SUVs/trucks have the same wheel bolt pattern?
nunya replied to stioc's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Sure they were factory wheels or not altered already (some aftermarkets do look like they could mimmik a factory wheel)? Like I said, I have hands on-taken directly off of possible donors and tried. -

Factory GM wheels have a smaller hub bore (period, I have tried many from steel "rally" wheels, Tahoe wheels, H3 wheels, etc... Lots of 1/2 ton GMs in the family) Alot of your imports will have a better chance but watch there as well as newer stuff will have smaller hub bores as well. -
Hosed the frame out today (not 1 clogged drain and instantly clear water ) and pulled te reverse light switch and cleaned er up good. Was starting (ok had and ive been ignoring) to get an intermittent flicker issue with them. See if this helps (used to breath new life into them on some HBs of the past...) Might check my codes tomorrow... Just because

I'm betting you got wires crossed/touching from your trailer harness. When you hit the brake your running lights are probably coming on as well which will kick the dash illumination on. The reverse is probably happening as well, turn on the runners and see if your brake lights are coming on with them. Id start fresh with that trailer plug (you did just wire it if I'm thinking of the right member-not back searching at the moment).

its in your settings. click on your desired topic (Diesel Engine Discussion for example) The blue bar above the threads has 5 choices: Recently Updated-Start Date-Most Replies-Most Viewed-Custom odds are your still set on 'recently updated' (it will be highlighted with a darker blue oval around the text) Click Custom and it brings up a sub-menu with options of: Show topic type (default all, no need to touch)-sort by (default last post)-sort direction (default Descending)-time frame (default last 60 days) click time frame and select 'show all' for this topic as the last other topic hasn't been updated since August 29 2012 so it's the only one that will bring up the other topics. If you want it to be a 1 time effect just simply click "update filter" once selected, or you can check the "remember filters" box to keep it set to those settings (easily reversible by doing the same process back to your preferred setting as well) this can be done 'per topic' as wanted so just setting the Diesel Engine Discussion topic this way will not change How To's or R50 tech etc.

Nissan pathfinder 94 VG30E engine alternatives
nunya replied to lnuxxunl's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
x3 the 3.3 would be a good option for you (if available there that is of course) which can be sourced from a r50 (the rounder- unibody Pathfinder) and I believe Xterra's though I don't know how mount setups and whatnot are on that particular donor (in this thread http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/29493-vg33-swap/page__hl__vg33 the member by the name "thehuntersam" talks of using some Xterra stuff on his swap, so at least some of it is an option) I remember an Aussie that used a Buick 3.8 Cyril to be exact, here is his build thread http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/21068-cyrils-92-current-project/page__hl__3800#entry367347 ) So if you are skilled enough you can venture down different avenues as well and welcome to NPORA -
don't underestimate what an Escort can do too! this sounds like a charging system issue. did any dash lights come on at all? loss of other electrical components first (radio/lights dimming out/etc)? you have access to a voltmeter so you can see alternator output?

Agree with all the info already provided and here is the link to the self diagnostic check to see what your ecu is telling you as well http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/21-ecu-self-diagnostics-for-87-95-pathfinder/ sadly the pics are dead (on my screen at least) I'll see what can be done about that now that I know...

I would think one that's actually tied in through the car (not some stick on the windshield TomTom) could be used to at least track where your car is. As for actually being a theft disabling device, I don't know how that would be tied in. Did he mean it can actually be tied into a factory security system (which i can possibly see) or just mean maby the navigation system has its own anti-theft for the unit?
-
I don't even bother with resurfaced flywheels, I think it was around 50 bucks for the fresh Sachs brand one she i did the last HB clutch I did (though I know prices go up over time) and it wasn't worth the effort of resurfacing in my mind... and I'm normally cheap!

oddly comforting to be in?

Turtle neck?

Sweet! Looks good man can't wait to see the abuse you put it through

Besides checking to see if there are any code stored in the ECM (theres a write up here somewhere on checking them, on my phone ATM though so if you domt find it/get linked ill look once im on my desktop) Alkorahil basically covered the good way to start tackling your issue

You already have the pros and cons work out, which outweighs the other to YOU?

1993 Pathy front turn signals will not turn on
nunya replied to tokihacker's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
you say your front end was involved in some carnage, when repairing the front end were any wires cut that could have been spliced back on backwards or bare wires shorting out/pinched against anything? Are your bulbs/grounds good? Is your headlight issue one bulb completely out (high and low side) or just 1 beam? -
Just trying to get my footnotes here in order from the recent activity. A given issue (the factory cooler) is being speculated as being a fraud over someone else speculation. No facts, just theory being fought for as fact without backup though the original issue at hand had factory confessed design flaw (the TSB for example) and people who have done things about this flaw (external coolers and bypassing the factory one) seem to have been able to prolong life of scarred transmissions and/or not had issues afterwards (from my observations around here over my time spent on the boards). Don't get me wrong, it don't exactly affect me as I have 3 pedals under my dash... just reading up on a little drama I ain't part of for some reason. I'm sad I wasn't invited quite honestly

it don't seem like an over-complicated thing to make, might not be too hard to talk him into producing...

Older? Yes. Alive? I like to look at any thread that can help someone as 'alive'. What's your issue?

that's like russian roulette though, sometimes those lids don't fit perfectly on Dunkin's coffee cups...

That's great but nobody likes to ride with me!

They flow nice and are quite snug on there actually. I'd personally keep em and enjoy the protection they will serve that nice bodywork

Honestly, it's probably close to 7-8 years ago. Not exactly a 'current' observation but just my past experience. As I said, they have had time to change things and mine were used to begin with
