  1. Who cares, someone trying to be honestly helpful in a meaningful way is always more welcome than some bs jibberish from someone talking out their backside.
  2. X2 on all account. The complete purpose can help with good guidance as a lot of trucks around here (from all generations) serve their owners quite well with minimal upgrades and more just maintnance and wearable things upgraded (like said as well a well suited tire can do wonders). The members rides section can definatly help spend your time and money as well, you never know what little unthought of thing might be in a build that you think is awesome and you MUST do!
  3. We have Rough Country's on our plow truck (77 chevy fulesize that won't be plowing too much anymore). They ain't bad but there ain't a whole lot of ride anyway in a 35 year old solid axled full size with a 6" suspension lift to begin with
  4. Newish wipers installed today and finally put a splas of fuel in him... Only been hovering on e for a good week... I don't recommend that.
  5. On my wife's old 4runner I actually used the threaded factory spare tire hold down kit from a crown victoria, but it doesnt work 100% the way I like on the blazer wheel since the final death of the Toyota and this truck replaced it so the main tie down is currently a pair of ratchet straps. I check them regularly and haven't had an issue yet with them, though it's only been like that for 1-2 months I think (until I make a more solid mount)
  6. Clean install, now to aim everything usefull!
  7. In that thinking that beat all mix of 2wd steering parts would have been installed from the factory as well It might be worth it to bug a couple of the fab guys around here (say GrandpaX and Steeevo for a pair of examples) that build and/or sell stuff a little more above the average upgrade. They can probably give you some good hands on insight
  8. I got my SportRack thats on my wifes truck here http://www.racksforall.com/rooftopcargobagsandbaskets.aspx prices went up since I got mine though
  9. I know hindsight IS 20/20 but there IS a correct tool/socket set for this as the plug is actually 13mm and breaker bars/ratchets run more a risk of stripping the plug. I personally think your gonna be SOL though until you get the fill plug out, or roll the truck on its roof and start pumpin some in
  10. the most common cause I seem to recall is the sensor in the rear hatch not pressing in enough. Spacing it so it presses further in solves many people problem from my memory banks. I'm sure theres a thread around somewhere with some pics or at least a write up of some form. I'll see what I can dig edit: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/16098-wd21-rear-hatch-sensor/page__p__264336__hl__+flickering%20+light?do=findComment&comment=264336 http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/9688-door-light-on-when-door-is-closed-94-pathfinder/page__hl__%20flickering%20%20light theres a couple older discussions on it that might give you some info
  11. If going from square to round, I 'think' unccpathfinder may have done that when building NyQuil (not his name for the truck), if that's the case it might be worth a PM to him. Round to round, I would suggest many searching your free FSM download as I personally don't recall any write ups either, and would be of no hands on help as I've only personally pulled square dashes and I'm sure there's enough differences to be a nuisance if using that as a guideline.
  12. I have a pair of cloth buckets from a 93-95 (i don't remember anymore) that don't have the adjustable headrests, I ain't sure what trim level the thing was anymore that donated them, I do prefer my older more broken in 88 SE seats (though the blue pair I have that are WhiteOwls original seats are a bit firmer than the grey ones from ToolShed)
  13. cleaned up some (including myself)... keep it that way as constructive opinions for the OP
  14. have a friend watch as you shake (or make them shake so you can watch) and look at the steering pieces to see where the play is at. Watch the tie rod ends and the center link primarily as I (without seeing to be exact) is where I would personally look first
  15. No need for rad support swap, it's wiring a pair of pigtails and a couple bolts/screws. A few of us have done them and anyone who has would be glad to help walk you through it if you decide to
  16. Before you put the cart before the horse, your tires balanced correctly? Thats usually the most common cause of a vibration that starts at one speed and diminishes with more speed (which is how i personally read the 40-60 comment, but ive been know to be wrong begore) generally a steering/suspension component will get worse with speed. I'd start with the cheap though, rotate the tires and see if the vibration goes to the rear or stats the same. If it moves it's a tire issue, if not its a suspension component issue (which is a good time to check for play anyway while you have it jacked up)
  17. it was a pretty sweet truck back in the day (the stripes and double blade wipers might be a tad dated for even me )
  18. FSM will win hands down every time. The downloads are free (and safe) and they are specific to your year truck, not some vague description that leaves out that all important step.
  19. a side note if you plan on the mpfi dizzy swap, if your doing a j/y parts collection the front valve cover off a 3.0 quest/villager has the clearance notch in it for the distributer and will bolt on if you don't want to clearance your current one (not that it's hard to do honestly) and you get the (pointless) benefit of having 2 710 caps!
  20. The drill out and tap-nut&bolt ideas are my main suggestions, though the later model distributer will work with a little help and a few parts. MY1PATH did a write up on it I believe (I'll search for it for you in a bit if you can't find it) that I followed when I did mine.
  21. Not gonna say don't do it, heck I'm all for someone wrenching on their stuff Why not try to find a frame rotted KA powered hardbody, then you'll have all the basic necessities
  22. Some states have light laws where anything above the headlight needs to be covered for on road use. That being said, I've thought many times about mounting one of my singles up by the windshield
  23. Baby Swiss flavored, there's a reason they were laying there...
