  1. Sad news my good man... Sad news indeed. Happy to hear your not stopping with parts development and maby next one will be a wd21!
  2. I've only removed my sunroof twice, once to say I did and it works correctly and once to replace the seal. My cover on the other hand, love it for when I'm actually using the a/c to make 1 less opening for sun to bake and heat my nice chilly air or when knowing it's gonna sit in a sunny area for a good ammount of time to help with it not becoming a super hot box inside (though I usually leave it opened then anyway to help vent)
  3. personal taste is what matters, there are both style wd21s swapped and r50s that have been under the knife around here. Besides the playfull bickering over which is best in general there is pros/cons to whatever your choice is. Just remember, you will own it so YOU have to like it
  4. You need a different parts store, I can take mine out and say send me a new one (well now that I actually have a new one in my truck compared to my usual supply of saved ones from junk/past trucks)
  5. I've had both at he same time, as there are other members here who have/had/move to-from Toyotas. It's apples to bananas, each has their own pro-con things to the communities. But you can't compare fairly and un-biased say NPORA to YotaTech, it's like comparing TheNissanPath to here, 2 different crowds with different interests
  6. I rinse inside my frame well regularry (all my factory drains are clear), especially during salt months. The outside of my frame (all 4 sides and cross braces) is painted with brush on bedliner. That's my regime for keeping it together longer
  7. x2, I see aluminum in a lot more factory suspension components than you would think. Good luck with the testing
  8. There should be a write up around here somewhere (never really looked, I got a 5 speed) but it's basicly a pretty cut and dry install. And the Miata comment was just a jab at devonianwalk, because I can
  9. The women around here are claimed (mostly by other members and I'm actually being serous!)
  10. It was a Metro, only reason someone would steal that is if the other choice on the road was a Miata Popping a lock out and taking it to a locksmith is probaly your best/easiest bet for a key since you don't have a "complete" one (which if you would have had, I would say hardware store that still grinds keys-big box places won't do it since thy use a machine you actually stick a key INTO instead of clamping it. Won't take the risk of a piece sticking in the machine, experience) And yea, add an external cooler on that trans to help it's life be prolonged
  11. depends on the wheel, the aluminum ones like the sr5 4 spokers need the 'fancy' long shank lugs that actually seat into the wheels, but some have said that they have actually seen Nissan Legos that had those style lugs as well and it IS possible to purchase them as like I have said, I know 'shasdakota' has them on his wd21 edit: found a pic of his (before painted)
  12. sometimes the simple question is all that's needed to remember a simple oversite
  13. IIRC 4 cyl trucks have manuals from the factory (I swear a wd21 I looked at once that had a KA in it had factory manuals, and all my 4x HBs were 4 cyl equipped and had them) 3.0 trucks were all auto hubs though factory HB & wd21s
  14. I had threaded holes/bolts in mine, but I have a torch so anywhere there's actually fastners now are nut/bolt
  15. Ask adamzan, when he was on his 1st roadtrip Precice1 set his up for him. No plumbing isle at HomeDepot needed, just a screwdriver iirc
  16. Probably T100s, my factory steelie Toyota wheel set is a little different (the spare, not the rollers) I believe "shasdakota" has a set of sr5 aluminum 4 spokers on his wd21 and at 1 point at least PaMountianbiker had the same wheels as silverton on his r50. Swaps are possible (Yotas share the 6x5.5 lug pattern and generally have larger hub bores unlike GM wheels which are smaller hub bores), just gotta watch backspacing
  17. If that's all it takes my Escort should be on the cover of every 4wd magazine in existence as the best rock crawler to ever see the light of day. Hell my (generically) lowered 1g Eclipse is KOTH material then!
  18. for as 'same' as they are they also carry a lot of differences that are more than the skin deep than just "cut off the back of a wd21 and bolt on a pickup box". Yes there's members here with them, who have went from Pathfinders to HBs and vise-versa (I may have had a HB or 2 in my past) but as said this is Nissan Pathfinder Off Road Association (which covers more than just the wd21chassis trucks) , not just Nissan wd21/d21 Off Road Association or is it NHBORA. I know Nissanoffroad.net has a section for HBs but they are a more broad Nissan 4x4 place, not as much a model specific place.
  19. Simon and Pezzy can make great points here, they have both (not like that perverts!) but why give up on what you got over mostly stuff you can probaly get here for pennies on the dollar and even the stuff where you go new you can get from Alkorahil at nice prices and be factory parts?
  20. probably dont have long enough bolts for the needed space so they just don't want the liability of only having 2 threads holding the UCA on
  21. http://www.nissanpat...adjustable +uca search, it is your friend edit: 'adjustable uca' as search criteria in the top left corner WITHOUT using custom search options turned it up on page 2 of results with the thread title of "Custom Adjustable UCA's?"
  22. Rooted through the ashtray for some coin to use in the pop machine.
  23. Isn't that who you give the jalopy to? Sounds like you maintain your truck (kudos to you ) and thts low miles around here, (not that mileage means anything to me personally other than a way to keep track of repairs). I personally buy stuff that's dead, give it new life, then kill it a couple more times before finally letting it rust in pieces. I don't however understand the perception of value of cars, yes it's 12 years old, who cares? Do you like the truck? Do you know what your getting into and how well a used vechile you'll be looking into has been previously loved/maintained/etc? My outlook also revolves around the ability to keep stuff around longer too though so my .02 may be moot point to some people
