  1. Just because I can elaborate here, my rad in my truck (88 3.0) is out of my old 91 KA powered 4x4 HB, which was donated from a 93+ 2wd KA powered HB. They do interchange completely between d21s and wd21s no matter the engine size
  2. Could be like a gecko egg, they are small like that and the fetus reminds me of one. I want another reptile since getting rid of our Western Hognose...
  3. About what sixe were they? Compared too I'm saying reptile as well, some kinda lizard
  4. My bug shield would make you getthe noose out!
  5. read the FIRST line of the topic Tungsten
  6. I don't understand the starter placement complaints I pulled the one out of ToolShed, with the tire on the ground/flat and just had to remove the oil filter... just need some patience and coffee. Bosch is usually decent quality stuff, you should be happy
  7. the compressor safetys itself off once the system gets so low unless you have it hotwired or something stupid. Charge cans are fine, they just don't solve the long term problem. Leaks don't fix themselves but sometimes it's cheaper to jam a can in and have working a/c for a month and just put the windows down and enjoy fresh air on those not-so-effin-hot days
  8. I live to give (and spend other peoples money ), For your hood corner, it's in the hinge most likely, push on it to try to tweak it down. I have to give my hoods a littel persuasion when switching them. Sad thing is I agree on the pics too, I'm more concerned over the hood than the model thats a saftey device to keep you from getting bored on the hiway!
  9. Hi-Lift has a whole line of accessories to use them for all kinds of applications and uses other than a jack even http://www.hi-lift.com/accessories/index.html as for mounting, for some reason I always liked the look of one mounted across the cowl panel behind the hood that Jeep people do, but am also a believer in out of site out of mind (yet can have issues practicing that as well ). Maby try to set up some kinda inside yet accessible mount in the cargo area?
  10. thanks for the reminder ahardb0dy! http://up22.com/Nissan.htm forgot about the up22 glass cowl hoods, flat nose only (no vents) avalable in flat-3 3/4" cowl-6"-7"-and 9" with the option of latch style, pin style still hinged, and full pin down. They claim only for 93+ Hbs but as we all know the 93+ HB hood bolts directly onto any wd21/d21 with 4 bolts and a washer hose
  11. Right/good stuff=less effing around to make stuff nice
  12. Yup, it can. With vents like the boat ones, when moving it will pass over them but with the scoop styles, you can get some moisture. The 2 I show that ain't mine are for feeding intercoolers on TD trucks IIRC, mine was more for the "it's mine, I like it" factor and has the added bonus of jamming some cooler air in between the fenders. After a long drive in the rain it's no wetter than it would be with a sealed hood as it's just te stuff from the road getting kicked up under there, anything from te scoop evaporates of the top of the motor, short ride or after washing only sees a couple drops on the top of the air cleaner lid (remember, I have TBI so I got that big round plate for a little to lay on until it warms up) And I keep my distributer sealed so I don't really worry about that.
  13. don't forget to aim the new owner here so we can warn him all you did to it help him as well IIRC he has aftermarket UCAs that compensate some for BJ angle so shouldn't be TOO bad My flares are back on and I have plate lights that work again and now stay in one place without zipties holding them up by the wires (GM donated side mounded ones on the trim now instead of the over the plate ones. Get some LED bulbs and have no worries about 'not seeing the plate'). Got the fresh tip for the exhaust too (don't know where the last one went, on some hiway somewhere I guess...) and ate some yogurt
  14. CrazzyMax (I was close) and his offset scoop and it was kiwipete, a NZ member I was thinking of with the WRX-ish scoop an XJ hood with marine/boat vents For good measure my SR5 hood been thinking the 'vents' from a H2 or H3 opened up and functional could be a neat looking setup as well, but I ain't buying one
  15. XJ people tend to favor boat vents as louvers (which I think actually flows good on their boxy lines as well, which would transfer over to a wd21 as well), there was another member here (forget the name currently) who was contemplating a louver setup and had some possible materials... I'll search later on that one. One of the Aussies I belive did a WRX style scoop to help feed an intercooler, I think it was CrazyMax or something like that that did an offset scoop for a similar reason, mines a Toyota SR5 scoop with none of the trim guts in it (so it actuall does something ). As I think of more and when not on my phone I can update with pics as I find them
  16. Or make one out of a zip tie or little sandwich sword
  17. What it's worth you can just get the low side retro-fit fitting for the a/c, vacc it down and charge it through there with 134a. All I did and it's been nice and icy since I put mine on the road
  18. One mounted on a RapistRed (AH3) truck (my old 91) Exact same one painted white is the one seen on about every pic of my truck you can find My Photobucket is running REALLY slow and freezing so I will hunt for those close ups later...
  19. The actual mirror adjustment is a ball/socket setup, if it's the adjustment that's moving and not the complete assembly chances are the socket end is getting a bit worn. It's time to start hunting for a replacement your next j/y trip. They DO interchange between map light trucks and nons.
  20. Once I'm on a desktop again (and if I don't forget ) I have some up close pics of mine installed-though mines a different style than the standard moonvisor (mines more rounded instead of the "pointy" front). Yes you have to drill, since you got it pre-owned sometimes you can call your local truck accessory store or even trailer sales places and even get an instalation kit, otherwise it's basicly sheet metal screws. I touched the paint after every hole was drilled as to not have bare metal and used a small dab of clear silicone in each hole as well. And extra hands is a must for a good strait install
  21. Yea, and your honesty and upfront-ness on stuff like that only said more good about you man
  22. buy all needed things to build another, do all hard labor, donate both trucks to Nunya-House
  23. And you probably coulda got them cheaper through Alkorahil! Wait, shipping might be the factor there...
  24. Suprisngly when I leave my sunroof open it stays dry when it rains I think it has something to do with the fact at home at least I generally park aimed downhill backed against the garage door and the targa bar blocks with runoff from the test of the roof... Just a hairbrained theory...
