unfortunately over the past year i have beaten my pathy to death on the trails. theres a whole heap of things wrong with and the list just keeps growing. that being said, someone has offered me $2k for it this morning so me and my beloved pathy will be parting ways. it still runs strong, but i just dont see any other time where i will be able to get that kind of money out of it. i just wanted to say thank you to every single one of you for the TONS of information, quick responses, and overall general concern for every forum member. this is not goodbye, just a see you later because this may have been my first Pathfinder but certainly not my last. thanks again guys.

are there any threads for any of the fluid changes? i thought the p/s pump was done because it has been leaking for a while and went out while it was still full. so i just let it all leak out but just topped it off today and its working alright so far... so i gess i just need to find the leak i tightened valve covers last week and cleaned it all with brake cleaner, checked back today and oil was already built back up other issues are mainly all body damage

things i need to get done and need some advice with... outer control arms: both boots busted so i might as well replace whole thing warn hubs: should i replace wheel bearings too? Valve cover gaskets fluids: maybe? spark plugs p/s pump: how much of a pain is this? the rest is just cosmetic or electrical, but im probably going to get it done this week because i have no school this week and cant work due to all the democrats in Charlotte for the week.... and advice or things to look out for would be greatly appreciated.

not very mechanically inclined when it comes to automobiles... how bad would it be for me to change my own valve cover gaskets? im just worried about not putting it back together right and ending up with a ton of issues.

you the man!! -
Steerings a lot easier and smoother but its wanting to stick at a quarter turn either way
-
Cool. Thank you very much, going to do that right now, ill let you know how it turns out
-
No clue... How do you bleed it?
-
To be honest I don't remember... It was whatever everyone on here suggested. Fluid looks and smells just like it did when I put it in. And both hoses connecting to the the resavoir seem to have some seeping. Looks pretty normal/minimal though.

I replaced the ps fluid with atf a couple months ago, and got what looked to be most of the ps fluid out... That being said all was good til a couple weeks ago. Started to slightly grind/whine when turning and has now turned into what feels like no power steering. Weird part is it wants to stick a quarter turn either way... Fluid levels good and no major leaks on any hoses, just a little seeping. Any thoughts??
