  1. Jack up the rear, put it in neutral, spin one tire, if the other spins in the same direction you have LSD, if it doesnt you dont
  2. I am already a member, I realized the pics I put on there were low-res and wanted to put an updated photo...unless reentering my info through the join page is the correct way, i figured better to ask this way then have Pezzy or Scott call me an asshat for joining again...
  3. ^Autosexual <------ Autosexual \/Autosexual
  4. Can you post the instructions Pezzy? Or do we have to email you the new pics?
  5. This makes me wonder about other header applications for the VQ35...too bad I don't wanna put out the money for a full exhaust...
  6. There are a good amount of JY's in Baltimore and its burbs, however I have only seen one pathy other than a WD21, and it was so mangled I couldn't bear to go near it
  7. I prodded a little in person with Dan, his intentions are to get another R50, so no intention to get rid of some of his most unique parts...
  8. I say yay, the WD21 had auto hubs and the R50 had drive flanges, all that matters is both of them use the same Warn manual hubs...
  9. I would want to get the most out of it too...keep us updated on if you can get it to work out, and night pics of the beam pattern from certain distances would help a lot
  10. What you can do is custom fit a projector to the headlight housing and run projectors or have someone make them for you, this is just one of the first sites that came up on a search...http://www.izntrbl.com/ btw: sorry if I came on a bit harsh but I have been blinded by many of these lights living in DC, so its something that really gets to me...
  11. This is an extremely irresponsible move for someone to make. Your housing is designed for halogen headlights, HID bulbs put out a different beam pattern, which will throw light into oncoming traffics eyes unless you make some dramatic adjustments (and thus losing any benefit of HIDs). Do everyone else a favor and remove the HIDs. My friend actually was ticketed in his 2003 Mustang for installing HIDs that blinded other drivers, hopefully you take yours out before the same happens.
  12. With lift springs, GR-2's up front and RS9000XL's out back with only the front sway bar removed I didn't think the body roll was bad, but when I added stock springs with OEM struts and Monroe shocks the body roll was quite dramatic... Basically if you are leaving stock suspension I wouldn't do it yet...
  13. I had no problems with them on my 97 for the year they were on, but I never did any challenging off roading so I cannot comment on durability...
  14. Canadian company, not Aussie...still too much, I got mine for $100 shipped USD, and now I know about how to do these things I could get it cheap as well...
  15. def. do both, I would love to kill AC's business, I have had nothing but cocky bastards every time I call them because they know they are the only place for most of this stuff...
  16. I only used engine braking on my 97 when going down hills above 40 mph, and all I would do is switch to OD off and switch back when I no longer needed the engine braking/ more power for the other side. In my 01 I downshift through every gear except 1 for almost every stopping situation, slowly easing the clutch and blipping the throttle to try and match the RPMs (I am not so good at that right now so clutch release is veerrrrrrrryyyyyy slow so the truck doesnt jerk)
  17. I disagree here, I feel like the mileage gain has been substantial on both of my Pathfinders over multiple measured tanks with and without, and even if gas stays around $2 (which we all know it won't) 20k miles in minimal for majority of the owners here whos pathfinder is their main means of transportation (like me). If you only have it as a temporary vehicle I would say not to do it, otherwise it is well worth it and will pay for itself. The downside being you have to get out and turn the hubs just caters to the laziness of Americans nowadays, that should not even be a concern, the only time I see this needing to be done where it would be annoying is if you somehow got stuck in a muddy area with terrible foresight. The maintenance is minimal as well, replacing gaskets/studs and lubing up are not hard to do and shouldn't take long at all to complete and the price of the parts would be offset by the savings. The only feasible downside I see is that they do alter the appearance with certain wheels, the worst of which being the ones you have, though 01silva has done a very good job of making it look good. In the end it is your decision as Dean said, but I do strongly encourage them based on MY personal experience which is paired with my driving style, etc., so as Dean said you need to evaluate your needs and such and make a decision that way.
  18. On my 97 I noticed about a 2mpg gain, on the 01 I noticed about 1.3mpg gain. Be aware that if you install the hubs and leave them unlocked, you must leave your Allmode in the 2wd position. When you lock the hubs you can put it in whatever position you want.
  19. Wow, way to be grim Dean...according to consumer guide auto a anti-skid/traction control system was available in 2003 as part of a Dynamic Control option, so if Dean is correct (which he usually is) it isn't real traction control...
  20. x3 on the tailgate...I am 6'4" and lifting my 97 didnt help at all, my stock 01 is just waiting for me to smack my face against it...
  21. What I meant is that since the engine is lower the tranny/tcase will have to be lower, but you will have to do something to fix the levers inside of the truck since they will then have a longer arc to make each selection...
  22. And the transmission and tcase would need to be modified for it to work...
  23. Mine started the hissing about 2 weeks after I got it, it turned out it was leaking at the connector right above the axle, I guess I blew out a gasket...I am just gonna cut the mid pipe right before the connecting point and learn to weld putting pipes that are 1/2" bigger on the end...
