  1. As you are running and other's have said. With a pre facelift you can run 31's on stock suspension most of the time. For 2" lift, your looking at AC coils. Otherwise there is OME and IronMan which give 1-1.5" of lift. Do some searches in this R50 section. Lots of discussion about the AC coils. Some like em. Some hate em. Because of the top out issue. I am running IronMan springs with strut spacer and Gabriel Ultra Struts and Shocks and love the setup. Gabriels have a lifetime warranty from Autozone. Plus they are ~60 each strut and ~30 each shock. With the AC coils and its full 2" of lift, you can run 33s. Just have to watch width and change the wheels for different backspacing. Plus you will have to do a lot of trimming. Here are some pics of a 2001 with AC coils and 32" tires. He had to do quite a bit of trimming to keep from rubbing. 2. Busy day today! Truck now has four matching 255/65R16 Hankook Dnyapro ATM's on it. Had two before, but some older Yokohoma's that were no bueno and tread separating from them. Changed the oil, Mobil 1 Syn High Mileage 5W-30 w/ Mobil 1 oil filter. This setup has been working out wonderful for the past 10k miles. Getting better mileage with it since. Drain and filled the transmission. Poured in a bottle of LubeGuard Red. Then used Castrol Transmax Fluid for Nissan's. Finally, bottle of Techron Fuel System Cleaner, good stuff with the PEA. Then filled up with 93 oct Chevron to top it off. That's it for now. Soon will the the Timing Belt kit from Courtesy.
  3. Rattle? Check the exhaust shields down by the cats. They tend to rust off the mounting tabs and then rattle. Use steel or SS band clamps to hold em or rip em off.
  4. Id run the exhaust the route the factory runs it, dual to muffler, then single or dual out. Personal preference, I have always liked Magnaflow Mufflers. But not sure what is available to you.
  5. Nice. Glad ti worked out good for you. Have any more pics of the rebuild process? Any learned lessons along the way to pass on?
  6. It would help. As you are essentially raising the rear end up to 2" or which ever height you chose. Which then, you would have to travel another X amount to bottom out. Yes, the Pre-face lift springs are higher rate. But, OEM replacements from Moog etc, are more costly than IronMan or Old Man Emu springs. ~$62 each for rears, ~$106 each for fronts.
  7. Balljoint is easy to check and change if needed.
  8. Sounds like a plan. Plus, should make it easier to trace and replace bad wires as needed since you'll have some type of guide of what it follows.
  9. Karmann, found what you need. These are simple rear spring spacers. Up to whatever lift you want. Link: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/36189-spacers-for-sale-that-you-use-with-stock-r50-springs-or-lift-springs/ Should be well within your budget!
  10. My fronts kick in and out by themselves. Usually I smack the HU and see if they come back on. If that doesnt work, then I wack the amp in the back. Pretty sure you and I are in the same boat. The units, both of them failing.
  11. Will have fix it with a ratchet and time.
  12. Milk crates. Can be had for "free" and easy to use
  13. Springs will. The bumpers you might have to modify some for clearance.
  14. Im running the Hella H3 100w in the factory fogs. Working pretty good. But headlights do have some to desire. The best 9004 that is out there is the Phillips Xtreme Vision. Usually about $30 on Amazon. But keep track of it and they go on sale for less than $13 often. Currently running Wagner 9004 TV2s.
  15. ^^^ Above. The drivers side rack bushing gets tore up because of the oil dripping on it changing the 3.3L oil filter. If they are even suspect, just replace them. They are ~$13 each at the dealer.
  16. If you do use Amazon. Only buy from Sold by Amazon or Fullfilled by Amazon. Otherwise, its as risky as buying off of Ebay.
  17. IronMan springs showed up.

  18. Depending on the cost, I know Level 10 builds our transmissions.
  19. I read the fine print. The prize is the $5000 gift card for maintenance. As determined as average cost of maintenance, over average life of 5.2years that a owner owns a Nissan vehicle. Which is nice! But what sucks is, I KNOW for my dealer to do my TB job. $2k+ Ha!
  20. The spacers I got were split, so I actually "threaded" them into the coils on the upper most coils. Why? Because usually the upper coils are the softer ones, which sag the most after age. I didnt install them in a conventional way. Hopefully it stops raining here so I can take a pic for ya.
  21. Any auto R50 96-99.0 fits. Ill post pic tomorrow. Surprising how many more up north. Come south here, they get exported faster than you can think.
  22. you have R50s in your yards? I need a part, the Automatic shift indicator section. Ill take a pic for you tomorrow and see if you can snag one for me. I'll reimburse you. Question: How in the heck do you remove the transfer case shift knob? Screw on? Push on? I need to remove mine. Have no clue. Dont want to break any more stuff.
  23. ^^^ Exactly. Just because the water pump pulley may have siezed and tossed its belt. Is completely external of the timing belt.
