  1. Possible to roll the fender lip? Sent from my Moto X!
  2. Why bed liner? From seeing plenty of cars and trucks plastic dipped. I think its a much better option. Sent from my Moto X!
  3. Theexbrit. Look to the right of your brake booster. Diamond in shape. Youll see it. On the inside its a pain to get to but doable Sent from my Moto X!
  4. Another thing to do. Is if you are in 4 Low, drop down to First gear. Dont stay in Drive with or even without OD on. 1st or 2nd should be plenty. Again, unless your in something really slick like snow, mud. To much skinny pedal breaks stuff.
  5. IronMan springs and 1" spacers here. No issues. However the IronMans are pretty much identical to OME as far as spring lift. Here it is on 1/2 worn 31" Cooper STT. For perspective, the white JK in the picture is on 4" springs, 2" body lift and 35" tires.
  6. Those that do run the AC coils and spacers. Usually didnt put the spacers in until a few months later when the coils would settle. Those that did put them in right off the bat. Usually have had some sort of CV angle issue. Which was resolved by removing the spacer until the springs had some time to settle down.
  7. With the prices Alkorahil posted. What I'm going to do first is drop the diff. Take a good look at it. Take some measurements and see if I can just replace and re arrange it to have Friction Disk - Plate - Disk as much as I can to tighten it up. If not, then totally not worth the money to mess with the stock stuff. Just find a open from a junker and put in a PowerTrax for less than 500 or go all out to a ARB locker.
  8. Pig Mats is a common petroleum absorbent pad. http://www.newpig.com/pig/US/absorbents-503/pig-universal-absorbent-mats-504 Other companies make em too. Ive called the white ones "diapers" for years. Because they resemble old school cloth diapers.
  9. About the only thing to try is if a tire shop will mount some to test fit. Maybe a Discount Tire store, 4 Wheel Parts place. Maybe even a used tire dealer might help you out.
  10. Question is: Do you want a winch or no?
  11. Towncivilian: I have read that thread. Thats why I think it will be easier on my end to rebuild it if possible. By making sure its setup as: Friction Plate - Friction Disc as much as I can and eliminate any Friction Disk - Disk spots. At one point this weekend, if the rear would have been tighter. I could have made it out of a hole easy. But got stuck being it went into basically 2 wheel drive. Left front, right rear...
  12. Jeep XJ bumper. Have to lightly mod the mounting brackets and it pretty much fits. Maybe turn out or cut and side turn in. Look up theexbrit for his posts and threads on it.
  13. I daily drove a Detroit Tru Trac for years in my 2001 Z28. Break away on that was very tight, as close to full spool as possible. So, a tight LSD or locker wont bother me much.
  14. I wont be able to pull it for a couple of weeks. Depending on cost for new clutch packs. Might be cheaper to yank a open from a yard and put a lunch box locker. Sent from my Moto X!
  15. Yes people im not naive. Its the MOBIL 1 75W-80 LSD OIL. Factory came with LSD by vin verification at dealer. Plus still has its orange sticker. Sent from my Moto X!
  16. Mobil 1 75W-90 Synthetic. Fresh. During my trip. Even tried that e-brake trick. Nope, was one wheel wonder even in slick mud.
  17. Title says it all. Its not working at all. Is it worth it to rebuild it to try to make it tighter? Only other option is to opt for a air locker. Unless I can find a open diff and convert to a mechanical locker of sorts. Ideas?
  18. If it happens when a trailer is hooked up. Check the ground on the trailer wiring. Sent from my Moto X!
  19. Put it through the paces at a off road park. A separate thread to follow. Teaser pic:
  20. Clear as in routed correctly in stock locations to not pinch em. Doing them the first time is the worst only because you need to remove the strut assembly to change the upper mount bolts. But put in some some 2" ones. So that way if you want to go bigger, its easier.
  21. Ive probably seen at least 5 of em down here in Miami. Granted its, Miami. Lots of money floating around here. I have a friend that has one personally. She has modded it from stock quite a bit too. Damn fast car.
  22. ^^^ With everyone above. Buy back rate? Looks like you have quite a bit you could salvage off of it for the new rig. Or even part out to make back buyback+ some $$$.
  23. Pretty much dont want to blow the bead. 31x10.5 on a stock 7" rim is pushing it for me personally. 20 sits nice in my STTs Sent from my Moto X!
  24. Sounds like you got some good answers. I made my post as from my manual for my 99 just states Matic-D Sent from my Moto X!
  25. Dex 3? Nissan transmission take Nissan Matic-D. Not Dex 3. Outside of the dealership Castrol Multi Import is the only one my dealer will honor warranty with. There are two import fluids. Get the correct one for Nissan. Hopefully Towncivillian or Alkorhahil or Precise1 can chime in Sent from my Moto X!
