I daily drove a Detroit Tru Trac for years in my 2001 Z28. Break away on that was very tight, as close to full spool as possible. So, a tight LSD or locker wont bother me much.

I wont be able to pull it for a couple of weeks. Depending on cost for new clutch packs. Might be cheaper to yank a open from a yard and put a lunch box locker. Sent from my Moto X!

Yes people im not naive. Its the MOBIL 1 75W-80 LSD OIL. Factory came with LSD by vin verification at dealer. Plus still has its orange sticker. Sent from my Moto X!

Mobil 1 75W-90 Synthetic. Fresh. During my trip. Even tried that e-brake trick. Nope, was one wheel wonder even in slick mud.

Title says it all. Its not working at all. Is it worth it to rebuild it to try to make it tighter? Only other option is to opt for a air locker. Unless I can find a open diff and convert to a mechanical locker of sorts. Ideas?

Clear as in routed correctly in stock locations to not pinch em. Doing them the first time is the worst only because you need to remove the strut assembly to change the upper mount bolts. But put in some some 2" ones. So that way if you want to go bigger, its easier.

^^^ With everyone above. Buy back rate? Looks like you have quite a bit you could salvage off of it for the new rig. Or even part out to make back buyback+ some $$$.

Dex 3? Nissan transmission take Nissan Matic-D. Not Dex 3. Outside of the dealership Castrol Multi Import is the only one my dealer will honor warranty with. There are two import fluids. That stuff works miracles. I take for granted the first aid training I have from the military. But yes, I do need to make sure if I am the one down. Others can help.

Lets get a good discussion going on First Aid kits for off road adventures. Personally I am looking to either get a nice kit or build one. Right now, I only have a very basic kit; band aids, creams, few gauzes. But need something better. Your thoughts?

Plausible. But with the way our diffs are setup would be alot of work. Also possible that the truck could have had a original open diff and someone put in one the the detroit or other style locker in it. Id say give your vin to Akorahil or Towncivilian to run and see if they can see stock options. Otherwise get a gasket set and remove your diff and inspect it to see what's up. Sent from my Moto X!

From what I have read. Its probably the angle. What seems to be common is to run without the strut spacers for a few months or 2k miles or so. To let the front springs settle in, then install the spacers and you should be good to go. Otherwise, could try a different CV axle.
