Lol. Thats Miami for you. These fools down here have no clue on pricing. Take a look at the pricing of Xterra down here. They could have one in condition similar to that hardbody and still price it at 5k. Heck according to Craigslist pricing logic my R50 is worth 5-6k. If you do find one in Miami. They are where hands do not fit well. Get it up in the air on jack stands and you'll see. Most of the work will be dis assembly and re assembly of parts on the front of the truck. But with good light you'll be able to see them and inspect them. IF you do decide to replace them. Then that would be a good time to either install a air locker or go ahead and put in a Lokka locker up front. Lokka is the US name for a Aussie or Lunch box locker. http://lokka.com/site/

Ironman springs; the rears are setup to hold 440lbs over stock. Fronts give about 35mm of lift. Progressive rate type of spring. OME have a MD and HD setup. Not sure on spring rate. Progressive rate type of spring. AC springs are the stiffest of them all. Does provide a full 2" of lift. But are extremely stiff and hard until broken in.

I have always loved those older Alpine units. Well today. Got it dirty and COMPLETELY blew out the seals on my rack and pinion. Was able to get it home. However its toast. I have to replace it. Good news? Since it spit out all the fluid, its basically flushed itself and I can move to ATF now!

Thats just the converter locking and unlocking. Especially when towing. Down here in South Florida we dont have hills. But the highways overpass near every single road they cross. So its a lot of up and down up and down. The 826/Palmetto is the worst of em.

Didnt you just go through a bunch of hassle with the mechanic that did that work to your truck? I would check out your front bearings. Especially if he pulled the half shafts to replace the lower control arms. You can also swap front with rear tires. See if it goes away or follows. Then you know its a tire balance issue.

Those All-in-one Cobra's work pretty good. Lots of my Heep buddies have them down here.

Mine had OEM <Nissan> KYB struts and shocks. Had some long part number that couldnt be referenced though.

Small update. Replaced the dome lights with some LEDs. Been working 4.0 since.

OME or IronMan with spacers sounds to be the way for you to go. Rides better than stock, plus gives you a lil bit of lift. Then can add to it with the spacers.

We've been cleaning it up for the past few days. Probably needs another soaking of Simple Green and scrub. Then I'll post updated pictures. So far its looking good. As for as weight. Its not that heavy. I can solo move it around. My wife can pick it up and help load it up on the truck with no problems. She does want to paint it. I was thinking instead of regular paint, possibly using PlastiDip? What do you guys think?

Well, picked up a new to me canoe, 14.5ft. The canoe itself is NOT new. It has been sitting in the back yard at my grandmothers since at least 1994. That was the last know time it 'may' have been used. Time frame of originally built? Early 80's? Maybe earlier. So, its in dire need of a scrub. Needs new paint and does have some cracking on the support ribs in the center. So, either I have to school myself on fiberglass repair. Get someone to help me or pay up to have someone do it. I do need to find a few new parts. Needs new bow and stern deck plates. One is missing, on is damaged as fiberglass. Hopefully I can find some rubber or something ones. I would also like to put in a center seat for my son. But that is down the road. Here's a quick pic when I picked it up. (Yes, I did have straps in front and rear. Mad ninja photo skillz hid them)

All those Continetials mean; is they are designed for AWD type vehicles. my sister n laws Mercedes SUV has those stock. Its a AWD. Would I take it off road? Not a chance.

Check the actual remote. I had the micro switches break off mine. Hence. It still sits on my desk and no new remote.

No you wont if you are still around stock size tire up to 31" and no more than 10" wide. But anymore than that and you will need spacers or wheels with different offset. Definitely replace your rear lower and upper control arm bushings. You can order them from 4x4parts.com. Or you can just replace them as a whole unit. Which ever is cheaper/better for you. Then do struts/shocks with lift springs. As for which springs, there are numerous threads on that. Just in this thread there are 3 of us that all run different springs!!

It is possible to do in the US. And you are correct as to the gas companies trying to suppress it and keep it out. Unfortunately they have to much pull in our government.
