  1. Yeah, I def like your ride. I'v looked at your build quite a bit. I think i just started following you on instagram too. I like OME's stuff. I had their springs with bilstein shocks on my old Tacoma. Awesome ride quality too
  2. Yeah it's 4x4. Not 100% on the ARB yet though. Not sure if i need coils or not though.
  3. I have a 2002 SE that I am looking into lifting. I've done some research and think I have it narrowed down to a few options. However I do have a few things to think about for the process that might I might need some advice on. This bad boy is this is my daily driver. I drive about 40 miles round trip to work Houston and all, but it's though town with traffic and neighborhoods and gas mileage is horrible with the starting and stopping. It's great when on freeways though. The other thing is that it has 150k miles on it. In very good shape, I bought from my mom (who baby's any car she has) when she bought new car. I suspect there is some but tell how much suspension sag there is due to age and mileage. I do not want to go larger in tire size right now maybe not ever. I have a set of Michelin LTX MS P255/65/r16 that have about 20k on and lots of life left. I played around with a jack in the driveway and cranked it up to 1'', 1.5'' and 2'' (measuring at fenders) and I think I can go up to 1.5'' without it looking stupid with the stock tire size. 1.5'' actually looked really good. I don't do crazy off roading anymore. Mainly on beach, camping, hunting, or to a fishing hole or two. However I want to be able to to push it a little and be confident in it if need be. But I think I narrowed it down to the 4x4 design spacers My other issue is I just finished a restoration on a ski boat and will be starting to pull that in the next month or so. I think with the mileage on the coils, I think I would like to replace them to accommodate for the weight . Was thinking just a stock size replacement to go with the lift spacers. Or should I go with a heavy duty coil? With this option I want to be careful not to get too much total lift out of taking out the sag if any exists. I also had a lady back into me and crunch the passenger side of front bumper so thinking about an ARB too. Anyone have any suggestions on the best route to go on this? Coils first to take out sag, then see about spacers? Does anyone have pics of their ride lifted with stock tire sizes? Maybe up to 2''.... Thanks in advance for any input. You guys are the pros. Here's a pic or 2 of what I'm working with. I need to upload more
  4. I bought mine from my mom. I've got a lifetime warranty on the ones I have from when she had it done at NTB. Figure I would fix this then take it in to the shop after it gets dirty again that way they try not to void warranty. Plan on replacing springs at that time too. Just not sure if I want to lift or go to with stock set up again hoping to gain lift with sag being gone
  5. I have a broken strut mount and have a knock in the passenger front. I figure I might as well do both at the time. Anyone see anything wrong with these? They seem pretty cheap http://www.1aauto.com/1A/shocks_struts/Nissan/Pathfinder/1ASFK01147/666791-2002?utm_campaign=gb_csv_br&utm_content=SFK&gclid=COmr2KuMs7sCFaHm7AodZ2IAYQ
  6. Good deal. It's def stronger than my Yota was. Being sea level and flat helps too. Biggest climbs here are up and over the Houston ship channel bridge just under 200ft.
  7. Hey guys, I've been gone for a while caught up in penny pinch mode, starting new job, and working on restoring an old ski boat and haven't been able to do much to my Pathy. I've had it about a year now and am super impressed with it's STOCK capabilities. Coming from a Tacoma with fancy suspension and 32's, this thing does just as much if not more. I've got a list of stuff I want to do to my Pathy but before I get into all of that stuff, I came across another issue before I start to tinker with it. When I got the boat I had the Tacoma and had towed all kinds of stuff with that. Before I start my camping trips and road trips pulling this thing around I was curious what you have pulled with yours and how it worked out. Should I look into some upgrades to take the stress off the Pathy. Not a huge boat but I know it was recommended putting extra cooling extras on the Toyota's Anyways it's good to be back and now that the boat is done I'm ready to get to work on my Pathy.
  8. Anyone know the best way or place to get one or make one? I asked a buddy that works in parts dept at local dealership and he said he couldn't get one. Weird to me. It's on the air dam on the bigger pathfinder rack, just like the x-terra
  9. http://www.metaltech4x4.com/p-28-metal-tech-fj-cruiser-tube-doors.aspx
  10. I have seen lots of newer FJ's without doors or with tube doors
  11. I'm half tempted to get new mounts and springs all the way around and seeing if that works. The shocks feel fine, just a slight knock in it from the broken mount. Worst comes to worst I need to get new front struts.
  12. Oh ok. Awesome. The few company's I have talked to says the opposite but I had a feeling it could be due to the selling process
  13. Yeah I was thinking that as an option. wouldn't I need to replace the shocks back there too?
  14. Needing new front struts due to a broken strut mount, I've been looking into struts and coils. I would like to lift it a little. Nothing crazy, prob a max 2". Being on a budget I was thinking about doing the front end only since its needed. And then the rear later. All struts have 15k miles on them (coils 145k) so I dont want to replace rear yet if not needed. Has anyone done the front end only? I know it sits with some rake so I was thinking it might level it out a bit. I talked to 4x4parts and they said they had a .5" option, a 1.5" and a 2" option. Coming from a Toyota you would see this all the time. But it was with adjustable coilovers, and you would just add a leaf later if wanted. I'm not real interested in buying tires yet either. Being a daily driver in Houston, my 255/65/r16 Michelin LTX M/S that were new with struts, are ideal for gas and ride quality. Would this just look dumb lifted? My off roading is moderate these days. Mainly beach, rock roads, getting to a trail head, campsite, fishing hole and hopping curbs here and there. Maybe pushing it here and there. I was eventually planning to lift this spring and was also leaning towards the Old Man Emu or the Bilstein options just bc I am most familiar with those names coming from Toyota. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm yet to take anything apart on this thing yet to see what it's all about. Just blows my mind how little available in after market product options for these.
