  1. Yeah, it was the cheapest way I could think of doing it! Under the CAI is the old bracket for the old air box..it holds the CAI up and keeps it from bouncing around! Oh yeah, definite power boost..you notice it more on hills, it no longer struggles and has to shift down going up hills, (I drive to try to keep it from shifting down) it actually holds its speed up hills and can increase speed if needed, without downshifting! I can say it has helped there. It sounds really cool too at higher RPM's! I went from averaging 18-19mpg to 20-21 (but only judged that on two tanks) so..it made a little difference there, but anything helps!
  2. Cold air intake! and yes..that IS two MAF sensors... New Pathfinder stickers! (Thanks to fluerys!) Now to get my wheel bearings and timing belt done...
  3. Cold air intake? Done. Nissan and Pathfinder stickers? Done. Oil change? Done. :)

So how much power do you want from an engine the size of a size 10 shoe?

  5. So..instead of wiring in a resistor..couldnt i just wire in a regular bulb and hide it? or..no?
  6. WOW. Thanks for that VERY useful information! Now i know what to look \for when buying LED's instead of just looking at the connector and guessing..hah. Thanks!

    LED's

OK. So. I bought LED's for my corner lights.. that was a fail. Apparently it takes small bulbs, i was expecting the size of a normal reverse light or turn signal bulb. OK i can deal with that. So my brake/tail light combo LED bulb.. It has the two prongs on the bottom (of course lo for tail, hi for brake.) And..i plug it in..and.. it works! I hit the brake..no change in brightness at all.. Any ideas?? Thanks! I also put my bulb i planned for my corner light in my rear blinker and it started hyper blinking (as expected) Thanks! Also if anyone has ideas on what i could do with these, give them by all means! The corner light ones are amber colored.. and the ones i bought for the brake/tail are clear.
  8. WD21's dont have chipped keys..right? My spare key sets off the alarm EVERY time..yet when i use my original..it opens fine.. (with both keys i even turn the key twice to unlock all the doors) what the?? O.o

      nismothunder

No they dont. I had blanks made at wally world and they worked fine.

    2. silverton

does it set the alarm off right away? cause that's bizarre. Unless you're locking it with your keyfob, then unlocking with the key, that shouldn't happen.

    3. NissanNismoZ

      NissanNismoZ

ohh..yeah..i usually do lock it with the key fob..

hmm..it sets it off as soon as i open the door.. but what i dont get is..i unlock my doors by turning it twice, with both keys, my original key doesnt do it..yet, my new key will set the alarm off, even though the alarm system LET the key tell the alarm brains to open the doors.. i wonder if the new key wasnt made right or something..?

  9. why do i smell burnt (i think oil) and yet my oil level never changes... and hasnt over the past 2 months...

      rgallant

Valve cover gasket or in my case bad pressure sensor (leaking). Somewhere you have an small oil leak and it is hitting your exhaust, in most cases it is a valve cover gasket but it could be elsewhere. Take a look under the hood and underneath for leaking oil. If you don't see anything try a piece of clean cardboard under the engine, it should be long enough to reach the the transmission housing, next time you park at home.

You just want to make sure nothing critical is leak...

      very true! Thanks! :)

actually my passenger valve cover is a little dirty/moist..hmmmmmm..

  10. Removed clear tint from windows (clear tint is a stupid idea, to whoeever wants to do it! >.<)
  11. Hmm.. Possibly a vacuum problem? Check your fuel pressure regulator hose on the back of the intake? Fuel pump issue? Check all vacuum lines, including the ones running off the charcoal canister.. What have you done and not done? I had a problem with my pathy, just behind where the intake grounds are, is a fuel line..mine was loose and leaking..maybe try checking that? Hope we can figure it out!

That's what i said! There's no way they're getting that.. it's just two jeep friends saying they're getting that gas mileage..when the most i can reach is 22.

    3. 1994SEV6

      1994SEV6

what jeeps had v8s? Besides the Wagoneer, I think everything else had either the I4 or the I6?

    4. Der_Vier

      Der_Vier

Grand Cherokee had a V8 option at some point

  14. cant wait for the stickers and LED's :)

  15. Do the WD21 pathys have lights on the cruise control (on steering wheel) and on the power window remote on the door? like backlights?

      Tungsten

Only the square dash models have the cruise control switch backlit but it's not on the steering wheel.

    3. adamzan

      adamzan

The dash switch on my 95 for cruise lights up but the steering wheel controls (set/cancel) don't.

    4. Tungsten

      Tungsten

Really? I thought the cruise control switch was on the steering wheel too. Durrr...

  16. Nevermind on the last comment..I'm changing it ALL over to LED's on the exterior..I'm supposing eBay LED's (at least 8 LED's per bulb) would be good?

    1. Tungsten

      Tungsten

remember to get something with a load coil when doing the turn signals so that you don't get flashers on hyper-speed

  17. But, the thing is i dont have speedo issues..my entire cluster works perfectly, my speedometer is right on the dot compared to my GPS.. it never acts up..ill be tackling the troubleshooting when its not snowing..im guessing something is wacky between the speedo and ECU Thanks for the idea though.
  18. Hmm..changing clear bulbs in side markers beside headlights to orange LED's?

Mine were 12 bux for 2 lights. I luv em!! I think there are 14 leds/light. Bright! I got the white ones. DO IT!!

    3. nunya

      nunya

if tryign to just get them to glow amber, get a pair of 194a bulbs (standard amber tinted 194 bulbs) or at least good LED bulbs as the cheapie single LED bulbs at pep boys ain't gonna give the effect your looking for

    4. Tungsten

      Tungsten

yeah that's what i mean you can't buy el cheapo leds if you want this to work right

  19. You sir, deserve a +1 THANK you!! Yeah, that's my view on it! Otherwise it's a tease.. "haha you have cruise control, but you cant use me! HA!" So, i've never removed my cluster before..here's to hoping i dont mess something up...
  20. The only reason I'm concerned with it is it aggravates me having the light and I can't use my cruise control..which is very useful on those nights my feet are killing me after work.. But, I'm still nowhere..I remember seeing something on a site once showing it going into one of the harness' on the passenger side lifter cover.. But I haven't managed to find it again.. Thanks for the info, and if anyone knows anything on this, I'll definitely appreciate it, as it's the last thing I have to fix as far as my ECU is concerned.
  21. Hmm..spraying hard around the edges, no leaks? But even then, wouldn't my speedo go wacky? The 'sensor that senses the sensor' is the ecu..swapping ecu's still gives me the speed sensor code..thanks for the idea though. Is there anywhere in the engine bay? A fuse? Anything? I've still been scanning the fsm to find nothing on where the speed sensor goes after it goes up by the tranny
  22. Sorry I'm at work and didn't go as thorough as I should have.. I have a Speed Sensor code causing my CEL to come on, with no warning.. So I'm asking where to check next now that I know my speed sensor functions properly? My speedo has worked flawlessly and showed zero problems..so I'm not sure why it's on? Thanks
  23. So, I lifted the Pathy and removed the speed sensor and checked it according to FSM. Speed sensor checks out OK. No problems. I figured that as my speedo works fine. It's right on. So..where do I start?? I can't find anything on where the harness goes beyond the connector.. Thanks!
  24. Also, in a FWD (i know we all have Pathfinders) but say in my mothers 93 Nissan Quest it wouldnt go up the hill to our road..so either you'd have to walk from the bottom of the hill or salt the roads and hope it makes it..(usually it would park itself in the ditch, no harm done) So i got the idea of driving it up in reverse and..it works! Just to let you guys know with any FWD cars.. it works.
  25. cold air intake..or no..hmmmmm..
