  1. I'll try that when I get home, I will say that everything as far as blower and lights still appear bright and my battery isn't 2 months old..but thanks! I'll try that when I get home! Thanks!!
  2. At work so I'll give more details later..long story short..Pathy wouldn't start on my way to work. It had 12.6v in battery.. I had to keep turning the key until it would finally turn over. It never even clicked..like when the battery is low. I will note the past few days it seems like it would turn over slower than usual but still start right up. Sometimes starting fast as usual and sometimes a little slower..any ideas??
  3. Finally..amp..sub..bull bar.. frame repair..centerlink fixed..new brakes, new rotos, timing belt..so many things to do! Pathy's treatment comes now!

  4. Okay, so my frame is rusted on the rear driver side..pretty badly. Even worse where the hitch mounts.. It's still a work in progress and i will continue on Monday..Here's a few pics from today. Before: During After (Still not done, but it's all the time we had)
  5. It's hard to weld your frame if its so thin it wants to weld straight through...:/

scary stuff ... im about to fix a crack in the rear of my frame and about a 2x3" section of the bottom of the rail that is missing, right by the panhard frame mount. should be fun to fix, at least its the only rust on the frame!!

mine is along the driver side.. and a small spot on the passenger side..so far no body rust..thankfully. :) Just have to see about getting the rust spots on the frame fixed and i'm good!

  6. $1000 Was originally wanting 2500..but since i did the fuel injector job.. he lowered the price..I've put about 500$ in restoring it..and counting. I had to choose between it and the 1998 Nissan Sentra for 6k..i chose the pathy because i knew it would teach me a lot of things..and i could pay it in full..it hasnt let me down and i havent regretted it a bit. Bought it in January 2011.. at 187k miles..now it's at 197k miles and LOVING it.
  7. So i have a nitro R/C car..here i come Nissan Pathfinder (WD21) body to go on it!

  8. nyan pathy? Adjusted my rear brakes so my e-brake performs correctly!
  9. To buy the spare VG30E or not..hmmm.. The one i was looking at is gone..but just found another..should i before its gone?

  10. The IAC is the tower with a plug on top to the right of the intake. You should see a screw with a (i think red) like glue/seal type thing. Thats what you use to adjust it, but i wouldnt, i'd just check the voltages compared to the FSM. Hope this helps.
  11. Just realized pathy doesnt have front coil springs...how the heck do you lift the front end then??

Although this is written just about everywhere on this site, look up a torsion bar IFS. It uses metal bars with splines, and the twist these bars allow gives it the "spring". By cranking/adjusting this system to preset at a higher level, you lift it, but you must replace the upper control arms with aftermarket to maintain proper balljoint alignment.

      oh!

I've looked at the stuff on T-bars..but never completely understood what they did..thanks for clearing that up for me! :)

I just remember reading how to index them.. thanks!

  12. haha...yeah.. but. mine does the same thing occasionally, i think mine seems to be the cancel gears for the turn signal...if you find a fix, let us know?
  13. Floored Pathy past someone doing 35mph in a 55mph..and hit 6k RPM..it felt GREAT! But I panicked n let it shift back up..coz it scared me..I didn't want to blow it, no matter how cool it sounded!

again with the flooring it past someone doing 35 in a 55zone?! was it another granny, too? 6k RPM? is that 2nd or 3rd gear?

    2. NissanNismoZ

      NissanNismoZ

Yep! I was actually in a hurry..so it really aggravated me after 4 miles... i think it kicked down to 2nd for that to happen..it was pretty intense at the power it brought.. :)

I'll say! When I kick my Mongoose down to second gear I really go flying!

  14. Thanks, ill be sure to check this out!
  15. Hah, this is pretty sweet, we followed one of these roads deep into the woods and came out 6 hours later 56 miles away from home! Luckily we knew the town it led us to well, but it made for a fun adventure in Pathy!
  16. Okay, so a friends Datsun 280Z has been completely restored.. I've already replaced all injectors, new MAF, O2 sensor, and TPS. It starts just fine, and drives just fine until getting up to operating temperature and starts sputtering and coughing and you pull over..sit for a few minutes..and itll start and run again just fine.. Just wondering if anyone may have an idea on what this could be? Thanks!
  17. Just got flipped off for flooring it past a grandma going 35 in a 55...she's so hard core... O.o

      hahaha!! That's funny.

  18. Nevermind..after talking to a few people..they discovered the possibility of either stuck brake or hub sticking..it turned out to be the hub sticking.. i reengaged the 4wd pulling forward so the hubs lock..then put it back in 2wd and reversed it .7 of a mile and..tada! Hope this helps someone out later, auto hubs can be stupid sometimes!
  19. Okay..so..ive done some snow riding, not really anything intensive, but some parts i had to use 4WD Anyway, as i was coming up my hill, i was spinning, so i stopped on a dry spot and tried to go back up, as i had the rear wheels on actual pavement and not ice..well..pathy wouldnt move. not an inch. i got a friend to look under the vehcle, and when you went from neutral to drive, the driveshaft would move a little, and stop. so i used 4wd to get up the hill and put it back in 2wd at the top of the hill and..it lugged..badly. like i was holding on the brakes.. any ideas?? i didnt let it spin a lot..thats why i stopped..
  20. I think i broke pathy..:(

  21. Loose/broken exhaust mounts can cause the knock sensor code..my exhaust used to bang against the frame all the time..fixed it..and tada! no knock sensor code. As for your Code 35. It sounds like its complaining about the EGR (not sure, but possible.) Try checking all hoses running to and from the EGR. Mine looked GREAT until i felt the unvisible side of them and noticed it was disintegrated from behind..replace all those hoses and reset the ecu and let us know how it goes!
  22. Frame rust repair starts today..first time welding something so big..and 3rd time actually welding on my own..wish me luck!

Welding tip: Good welds start with clean metal at the joint.
