  1. OT - how do you dispose of PS fluid? I've got a steering rack and pinion getting ready to crap out.
  2. Makes sense. I have not looked into the SFD and am not aware of what's involved with it. I went with the NX4's to eliminate the "rake". I'm really happy with them too!
  3. Yes. The distance is static because the strut assembly is attached to the axel (spring perch and tire move together). Rick13 is running with a SFD so, I don't know if that distance is skewed by the extra lift?
  4. Do you have to jump start it to get it running? If you do not have access to a voltmeter, you could start the truck and remove the positive battery cable from the post with the engine running. If the engine dies then it is most likely the alternator. However, if you have a volt meter you should have around 13.8-14v ON THE BATTERY POSTS with the engine running.
  5. Hmmm? I looked at my 31's (DuraTracs) and there is not a whole lot of space between the shoulder blocks and the bottom of the lower spring perch on the strut. This, of course, is on the AC lift. I also experience Phantom's rubbing issue on full lock in reverse. *edit .. It does look like it will clear 32's using a 11.5" wide tread.
  6. I've had friends in the past wreck modified vehicles in the past. Both cases I'm aware of their insurance companies only replaced the stock parts on one car and totaled the other for its stock value.
  7. Looking forward to it man. I'd say good luck but ...
  8. Could be? I found out that I had a bad alternator bearing by systematically removing the drive belts (first one by the way). The voltage output was fine but, the pulley had an "ever so slight" play in it. It sounded like a squeel at first but started to sound really bad as time went on.
  9. You obviously don't read any of my posts then!
  10. Start with the battery. Remove each cable and make sure to clean off any corrosion making sure that you have a good contact with both battery posts.
  11. Wish I had thought of that. I have an occasional sqeek/click on my passenger side.
  12. Please post a pic of your Pathy so that we can better assist you mang! There are some members here that are running the 31's with stock suspensions. The biggest issue that you will run into will be on the front wheels. The taller tires will rub the plastic wheel well shrouds (behind the front bumper) when you try to turn your steering wheel "full lock". That can be remidied by either cutting the "rub" areas or, you can use a heat gun and reform the shroud by pressing it towards the bumper. The other possible issue will be with the clearance of the top inside corner of the tire and the lower spring perch on your strut assembly (this is where the lift helps). If you are running stock wheels you have the option to purchase 1" wheel spacers to "pull" the tire away from the strut. That would be your cheapest option. Would someone running stock suspension and 31's please chime in and correct me if I'm wrong?
  13. It does look good. I really like your two-tone color scheme as well. You don't see to many R50's like that.
  14. Huh? I'm in Rock Hill too. Is "Nissanpartsguy" Warren?
  15. He got my vote. That thing does look sick!
  16. You had to remove your flanges to install the MM's. *edit ... Maybe the hubs are not completely diss engaging. Might want to think about greasing them.
  17. I'm thinking something like that. When was the last time you changed the air filter?
  18. I've got an Infinity Bass Link wich is a powered 10" subwoofer with a 10" passive radiator mounted directly behind the sub. It is a very small package that dosn't get in the way unless I need to fold the rear seats forward. It won't turn heads in traffic (can't stand when people "thump" next to me) but, it sounds great. This is a photo I ripped off of another website. It is similar to mine with the exception that mine is mounted vertically.
  19. Thank-you for the follow up. Great post! (although the sign says "good")
  20. That is very good to know. I have often wondered just how long I could drive after the low fuel light came on.
  21. I'm like WTF? I just replaced my CV's from NAPA for those re-man's.
