Sometimes the ground for the horns gets corroded (There are two, behind the bumper area IIRC, they bolt to the rad support/front end sheetmetal and simply ground through the attachment point) or the 12V+ wire on the horn corrodes. Check the wiring and wiggle each horn itself to see if the contact improves? Could be that OR the contacts in the steering wheel.

There is only ONE Top Dead Center for #1 piston on the compression stroke. Find that, put the balancer back on with the marks positioned according to the pointer on the timing belt cover and that's it. I don't see how a competent mechanic could put it on 90 degrees or more off.

I could score every part except the CC switch/stalk on the steering column from the local junkyards. They steal the steering columns first thing, usually.

I started with some Purple Power degreaser, then used some spray-on paint stripper and steel wool to strip the old paint off. Degrease once more, allow to dry. Then I took some sandpaper to the scratches and scuffs on the edges to smooth them out. Then I used a can of Dupli-Color Wheel Paint primer for a base coat. Aluminum/Silver color topcoat took care of the rest. Here's a fresh paint pic. These wheels came to me looking like HELL, the clearcoat was coming off, scuffs and scratches all over. Bought 'em for $40. Not a problem since, this Wheel Paint really works well. No chipping or cracking.

I really doubt it'll be a match. A US 87 is TBI with iffy accessory equippage compared to a 90 with EFI and more options for standard power accessories. I'd look for a 90-92 fuse panel to make sure it matches.

Here's an interesting question...does your throttlebody's cable linkage plate have a spot for two cables already or just the one? That'd be hard to get without buying the whole TB.

Are you trying with the clutch in or no? Try it stopped with the clutch pushed in, that should stop all transmission rotation internally...therefore, no gears spinning to grind.

Yes there are, but even with a stock rack the capacity is 80 lbs for the roof. Tires are heavy, especially 33's.

Why wouldn't you want a steering stabilizer? It's a great add-on. You will probably need brackets to bolt one on with if you don't have one already...

They're separate. That's why the switch is the first place to look when one doesn't work.

I found a great song to make a video with and I'd like to promote NPORA by producing a video and putting it up on Youtube, filled with member's Pathys. All years, all mods, no mods, SASes, everyone. It'll be about 2:20 long with the song I've got, so I can't put everything/everyone in there, but I can do my best. I could also switch music near the end and keep going if need be. I'm using Windows Movie Maker with a few add-on effects, I've tried other video editing software and it's WAY too complicated to just sit down and use, so here we are. What I'd like to do is mix still pictures with short video clips of offroading, some tech pics from the Garage and pics from the "Pathy's Pictures" thread, the "Post Your Picture" thread and the "Member's Rides" section. Text will be at the bottom of each piece detailing the member's name or a short blurb about NPORA. Any ideas or formats you'd like to see followed? Video clips I should put in there? I can't use Web video unless it's downloadable, so if you want something in there, give me raw or edited footage in AVI, ASF, WM, WMV, M1V, MPE, MPEG or MPG format and I should be able to do some good with it. You don't want to bolt only a spare and stock rack to the roof, you'll cave the roof in after a few bumps. You need either a stock roof rack, aftermarket roof rack or tire carrier. Plus the stock interior tire mount has offset legs so it won't lay flat in the first place.

They're not going to honor any recalls other than seatbelts. 1995 was 12 years ago, all offers have expired since. You can try but I sincerely doubt any dealership is going to do any free work on a 95, they don't do crap on 2005's.

I finagled a bunch of LED's into the back of the instrument cluster along with the stock bulbs. Works nice.

I don't think it matters much in town. On the freeway while climbing hills, you get way more heat.

Yeah, we got CC. You'd likely need wiring to go between the CC module and the other components, though. The parts shouldn't be a real problem, the whole thing would fit in a medium size box.
