The "adhesive" is an anti-vibration compound. If you really want to, use a little RTV silicone and bolt 'er up. The lock is just as easy as the door locks, yes. Same thing, remove linkage, pull clip. Pop out lock.

Oh, hell yeah. Do it!

THe problem with going to a VQ series is the transmission/t-case difference. You'll basically be swapping the entire drivetrain and making it all work. I don't think any WD21 parts will bolt to anything in a VQ-equipped Pathy. You could always try a Q45 engine...the WD21 5-speed and auto both bolt right up to that bad boy. 4.5L DOHC VVT V8, mmmmhmmmm.

Every 88 Pathfinder has a MAF sensor unless it's carbureted. It's an integral part of the FI system, otherwise it'd need a MAP sensor and I've never heard of anyone having one of those. Here it is... on the driver's side of the TBI. From: How To Clean Your MAF Sensor in the How-To section...

Yeah...and it's beat to hell, just like all the other trucks they drive. Heh. It doesn't make sense to drive nice new vehicles into hailstorms and debris fields. The Pathy is the probe deployment vehicle, they carry two big-ass steel tornado probes in the back...they try to set them out in the road for the tornado to pick up.

Can we get a pic from the front, ground level, level ground, from about 20 feet? Sounds like something's not quite right with the alignment.

I've done it too, never had any problems. They really do say that, though. You're not s'posed to remove a battery cable when it's running.
-
Remember, the modular power mirrors will bolt on too. Just gotta ziptie up the wiring. I scored a set of chrome power mirrors for mine on Ebay and took off the nasty old manual mirrors. Me likey!

Generally speaking, wheel spacers are a last-resort item used when you don't want to buy new wheels to get proper backspacing. Spacers can put more stress on the wheel hub and front suspension in general. Not that I've heard of them causing catastrophic failures or anything, but it's generally considered to be a better idea to just get new wheels with the backspacing you want rather than put on spacers. AFAIK, they bolt on and then the wheels bolt back onto the spacers. Simple install.

Sometimes starters do go out like that... You can try using a starter bump switch to manually activate the starter or use a screwdriver to bridge the solenoid and battery terminal and see if it cranks at all.

I've never heard of a Pro-Flow muffler. *shrug* Who knows? Stick to a tube diameter between 2" and 2.5"(2.25" is what many people use), anything larger likely won't help with the small displacement of the engine. Leave the manifolds alone if they don't leak. I think stock configuration is single in single out so if you want a dual-out muffler, a new tailpipe or extension will have to be built to fit. That's about it.

I'd degrease and wash it first, then see if it still leaks anywhere. It's likely leftovers from the oil filter change, judging by the pics.

Eeh, only on so-equipped models. Some base models didn't have ABS at all. Mine doesn't.

I've been Aeyrius, DragonKing and Tomcat(all 3 back in the local BBS days), went to Tomkzinti when I found another ten million Tomcats around...then for this forum, I chose 88pathoffroad. I think it fits.

I believe duplicate codes are for partial failures or total failures. Missing numbers may simply have not been used by Nissan, who knows?
-
Awesome, I'm anxiously awaiting the outcome so I can do mine!!

Try jacking up the lower control arm to load the suspension and give the CV some slack. It may just pull out a skosh after that.

steering shaft doesn't budge (to lengthen for 3" BL)

Mine and Rami's were the same way. Mine I got apart by just beating it out with Vice-Grips, but for Rami's I ended up welding a tab to the damn thing, putting it in a big bench vise and beating the everlovin' piss out of it with a 2-lb hammer to get it broken loose. Ugh. -
T-cases in 87-99's are ALL 2.02:1 reduction in 4LO. Unless you've got one with the auto-AWD setup.

Owie, that looks like it hurt. Compression should be more like 170-175. 135 is way low.

Good, cause I've seen quite a few Superwinch hubs break on Nissans.

This area is for Product Reviews, not questions about products and no review material. 'K? -
Nope, sorry. WAY different engine design.

You're welcome. Welcome to the forums. I think a stock 3.3 flywheel with an upgraded clutch set would work fine. 5523Pathfinder is a tech, he'd probably have more to say on the subject.
