Hey, I have new toys too! ;D
-
There is no such kit available from anywhere AFAIK. You'll have to make your own by hand from scratch. Pathfinders are the red-headed stepchildren of the automotive world.
-
It's a sealed unit AFAIK.
-
Nah, bending the top coil won't hurt anything. Just don't do it in the middle of the spring or anything. I heated and re-bent mine and they're still OK.
-
I don't have MySpace or Facebook. Damn kids these days...

Or you could get the Trailmaster 4" lift and combine that with either UCA's and taller springs or just a BL...3", 6", 7", or 10" total on IFS lifts alone. That's just for the WD21's from 87-95, mind you. Several people have run 35's without trimming THAT much off in the rear. That was 87-89 for the VG30i/2-doors, then 90-95 for the VG30E/4-doors. Some 1990 2-doors with the VG30E made it into the US but not very many, they're rare.

Ooooohhhhh... cool cool.
-
Bah, they tried that on Mythbusters and it got worse mileage. I tried it and it didn't do anything.
-
I just used a Crescent wrench and spun it out.

I go up most trails in 2WD when I go wheeling. The steep bits require 4HI and slippery rocks need 4LO, but it's gotten me through more places than comparable Jeeps have gone! The rear locker makes ALL the difference.

If I were the one that caused the damage, I'd either try to get insurance to pay for it or take care of it myself. It's just wrong to bang into someone and tell them "too bad, so sorry"...
-
I always burn mine out. Been through about six spindles now...
-
I'd turn it in to insurance. The other guy might get shafted on his rates, but it's not YOUR fault you got run into unless you were really riding his butt and not paying attention to the trail conditions...

pathy swaying at freeway speeds

You also don't have torsion bars. I'd go someplace else for an estimate, they sound like they just want to milk you for all you're worth and not even fix the problem. -
Go look in the Garage How-To forum....click the one that says "Replacing Your Starter on a 1987-95" I'm going to have to cut my exhaust off...the bolts are all rusted to hell. Common problem, uncoated/untreated mild steel + weather/water/mud = rust galore.

Planning a Rough Country UCA/JGC coil lift
88pathoffroad replied to jitterymonkey's topic in The Garage
Bottom line, use a micrometer and MEASURE THE COIL WIRE DIAMETER FIRST. Stock Pathy coils are .50", base-line JGC coils are .52", mine are .58" and gave at least 3" of lift. -
*snort* Mwuahahahaha, gangs are good for something after all...

Hey, I figured something out. When you work out for stats...start with 100% Will and just do around 15% of your total allowed turns to train. (If you have 500 times to train, do 75) Then wait 5-10 minutes for a refill on Energy to 100% and go again, 15% of the allowed turns at a time. Wait for an Energy refill after each training. When your Will reaches about 20-25%, just use it all the way up after refilling on Energy. You get way more stats per Will bar that way. I'm not putting this in the Guide or telling anyone else about it cause I want to see us all get ahead! Last try I got 12255.9 out of a 100% one-shot train with about 19% Will left over...I got about 15696 by doing it one piece at a time.

There never were OEM taillight guards AFAIK. Besides, if you back into anything other than an easily-movable tree branch or loose shopping cart, the guard will break your taillight anyway. Then you'd need a new tail AND a guard and possibly some sheetmetal work.

Ditto, I just dropped out the whole knuckle, pulled out the CV and then replaced the lower BJ. Careful, that knuckle/brake setup is heavy!

This game is getting freaking ridiculous. Sandman took away Nut Mix Energy refills and now oil is the only way to refill and I've been checking game stats daily...the amount of oil in the game isn't going down, it's staying steady...average of 400 oil per player. The price went up but that's it. There's also more money in the game now on average. The game caters to the high level players and the difficulty of play for low-level players spurs more people to send him money to get ahead with. The whole damn thing is solely a money-maker. With no limit or cap on level or stats, the game will become a one-man show pretty soon, especially the gang side of it. It's nearly impossible to run a gang if you're anything lower than level 800 or so nowadays. Freaking ridiculous.

IIRC the oilpan stays put. You have to remove the RMS retainer and then the RMS, which is a one-piece seal like the crank seal in the front. Have you got a FSM for your year?

Thoughts on 4.88's vs lock-right vs ?
88pathoffroad replied to LD50's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
New gears will give you some power back, the Lock-Right will give you more traction in the rear. Apples and potatoes... -
Yeah, those go on top where the 3" pigtail is on a stock Jeep coil. Our Pathys need 4" coils to fit.
-
The hard part is getting more money and Will bottles. Damn things are expensive. If you got 30 for Christmas, keep them until they'll do you the most good.
