  1. If I do remember, they're 14x1.5x50mm 8.8's. I got some 14x1.5x70, 8.8's from a tractor supply store for about $5 apiece a while ago and they took care of the positive camber with plenty of threads to spare. Hold on, I'll go out and measure.
  2. Perhaps you could slightly bend the tabs inside the plug to either side and they would stay in contact when plugged in.
  3. Any problems with undercharging on that setup? I wouldn't think you'd notice much power difference, being as the Pathy weighs so much.
  4. You know what, that reminds me. I was working at an auto parts place once when these guys came in with a Mazda B2200 pickup that had a 3-cylinder tractor engine in it. They said it got between 75-90 MPG, but it took about 5 minutes to get it up to 55. It may be "illegal" on the books, but people over here in Oregon pretty much do what they want with a vehicle. The DMV doesn't pop your hood to register it. Heck, if it's already registered and being driven, I dare say you could do the swap and drive it until it dies and nobody would ever know the difference. I suppose it depends on where you live. The main problem with putting in a diesel we never got here is that you can't buy parts locally for it. Ever waited 3 weeks for an overseas order for one oil filter?
  5. Kind of...the ECU gets data from the distributor, then it sends a signal to the power transistor on the coil, which makes the coil fire. Could be wiring in between any of those parts or some of the parts themselves.
  6. The rubber hood stops help it pop up. Screw them upwards a few turns and see if that helps.
  7. Just face it, gas tanks are easy targets no matter what you do. I bet this attempt was a one-time thing for one guy trying to steal gas and it'll never happen again...about the same as people stealing car stereos.
  8. I have some Rancho RS9000's in the rear, the Pro-Comp shocks are a TAD too spendy for me. They work fine. I scored mine from a junkyard off a Ramcharger.
  9. Probably not. I don't think it's legal to convert a gas vehicle to diesel unless it was originally offered in such form in the country it is being driven in...but get this, you can convert a diesel to a gas engine no prob and it's emissions-exempt. My Chevy van used to be a diesel, now it has a carb'd 350. Still registered as a diesel on the registration.
  10. The knock sensor is UNDER the intake manifold and requires quite a bit of work to change. Dunno about the EGR function error, but after that many miles I can almost guarantee you the EGR valve or the lines for it are full of soot, carbon and other crap that probably doesn't help it work well.
  11. On a 91 it doesn't show pending codes. OBDI.
  12. Yes. You could only get a V6 from 90-up in the US. No 4-cyls past that year.
  13. Pull your plug wires and check for a broken plug or cracked wire, perhaps? Sounds like a spark problem.
  14. Nope. I ended up with aftermarket upper control arms and they don't even come close to the shocks now.
  15. Someone stole your gas... That's a shxtty way to find out. I'm sorry, man.
  16. The ECU alone is in charge of advancing the timing with respect to RPM's...Hmmm. Not too sure what to tell you. I'll look and see if the factory service manual says anything.
  17. Nope, that's for domestic axles on Dodges and Fords and some others. None needed for a Pathfinder.
  18. Did you get the plug wires on in the correct order?
  19. That's a noise supressor. It helps keep alternator whine out of your stereo speakers and reduces EMI overall from the alt's output.
  20. Aftermarket shocks typically do contact the upper control arm if they're larger than stock size. My front Ranchos have had dents in them since right after I put them on.
  21. AFAIK the upper balljoints remained the exact same design from 87 through 95 for Pathfinders and through 97 for pickups. I've been through a lot of junkyards. Perhaps he found you a lower BJ instead?
  22. With the 2-wire plug unplugged from the alternator, the alt won't charge. Plug it back in. There's a spot on back for it. Does it look like this?
