94 4x4 4cy and trans swapped 94 6cyl ?
88pathoffroad replied to drifter's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
AFAIK, all 96-97's were 4-cylinders. No V6 after 95. -
This is interesting. Someone disliked me but didn't want retaliation, so they paid a level 700+ to hit me? WEAK. Grow some, whoever it was!

Go read the How-To thread in the Garage: How-To section on how to replace your starter.

It's all good. Rubicons are way different from the JGC's, if you take a look sometime even the rear JGC coils are shorter than the fronts! Here's what the 1" BJ spacers did to my stock UCA's back in the day... http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...rs+cause+damage Thing with the spacers is that when your front suspension drops down all the way, the CV joints fully extend, then they overextend and wreck themselves cause you have more travel than they were designed for. Longer CV's or better-designed joints might take care of that problem but nobody makes any.

Good deal on getting lifted! But...you guys seriously welded stuff to a torsion bar? Not to be the bearer of bad news, but that may weaken the bars and cause them to snap sometime. You should never weld anything to or heat up spring steel, it removes the tempering and could cause weak points that will eventually crack and break. That's not to say it WILL happen, but it could. If I'm wrong I apologize in advance, hopefully it works out fine and there are no problems. Stock t-bars are cheap and there are tons at the local junkyard!

I saw a guy stick 38's under a 3+3" Pathy just to see how it looked once. The fenders sat on the tires on all four corners.

You could try undoing one of the exhaust hangers or something too.

Pathfinder project on Extreme 4X4 T.V. show? UPDATE
88pathoffroad replied to jitterymonkey's topic in General Forums
I hate that show...sure, let's throw mega-bucks at any old truck or 4x4 you can think of and see how expensive and non-real-worldly we can make a project. Idiots. Reminds me of Monster Garage...sure, it cost you $5000 AFTER the free $45,000 donation items. Asswipes. -
Oh, and just to clarify about the gang I'm now, ducatidom started it and asked me to join so he could get a hand out in a war, then we all agreed that it would be best if we just run this gang for a while to gather info on how to run and use gang functions so I can write it up for the Guide. That's why it's the Guide Research Team. All the other gang presidents have been mailed about it and they all agreed to leave us be for a little while. That's the only reason we're not taking a bunch of members and trying to restart NPORA gang. Don't feel left out, I've gotten a lot of tips from other gang members on how it works. It'd be even nicer if Sandman would contribute something, but I guess he just wants money for people playing so he's just going to leave it alone and keep gathering "contributions".

Be glad you don't own a ford right now...
88pathoffroad replied to 87pathmaker's topic in General Forums
What a crock of sh1te... Ford sucks. -
Wait, it gets better!!!

Er, 4995. My bad, he mistyped and I misquoted. *at this point I send 12 quarts of oil back* Two million later, I'm that much closer to owning my next shop.
-
HOLY ISHT I just bought 5995 quarts of oil for $12 each!!!!!
-
I've gotten you once or twice so far, haven't I?
-
Apparently there's been hacking going on? Maybe they were doing some and got caught. BTW, I beat csutke up again.
-
I even tried asking him nicely and he was still a dick to me...

Nononono, you should NEVER tow anything by wrapping a strap around ANY suspension parts. The risk of accidental damage is just too high. Always use a frame-mounted point like a hitch, tie-down point or tow hook.

Meh, I'd worry more about rubbing with wider wheels than about breaking any axles. Thing is, you don't NEED 10" wide wheels to run 12.5-13.5" wide tires. The greater offset CAN make it harder on BJ's, UCA and LCA bushings, tension rod bushings, etc, but the axles themselves don't have much to do with wheel/tire width.

The only available FSM's for WD21 Pathfinders are for the 94 and 95. Earlier models never were scanned or made available online.
-
Only if it's the non-vacuum front axle...you don't want the vacuum disconnect model from what I hear.
-
Interesting, mine has the double-shear arms. I'll have to mess with it sometime and see how it looks.

DO NOT BUY BARF BARS. They don't do crap for restoring Health now. I just used 15 bars and got 1% Health back. 100 Nut Mixes gave me 3% Health. Jesus Christ, this guy needs to figure out how to run a game. Oil is up to 5000 now...I was in the middle of making oil money on the market when the oil announcement came through, I went to pull all my oil as fast as I could but one of the other guys bought most of it at $3500. I'm a sad panda.

Oh lordy lordy, Sandman changed the whole game.
