Hey there, I did dual batteries recently, check out my post on it all. Although I did not do dual batteries side by side like you want to, I did one on each side. Worked out well. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=22195&st=120

I also, do not recommend shifting from 2Hi to 4Hi and vice versa while on the move. I do not believe the Pathies are designed that way. BTW, always select N when shifting the transfer case, not P.

JDM sidemarkers where to find them at?
kiwipete replied to whosfinder's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
No I don't think it will as we have them on our trucks here in NZ. I even replaced the lamps in my side markers with LED's and that still didn't upset the flash rate. I do not think they have a separate flasher for the side markers, all part of the same wiring AFAIK. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.m748&item=350428073315&viewitem=&_trkparms=clkid%3D6134703682011767811 -
If you mean the part between the guard and frame, get hold of some old truck or tractor tubes and use the rubber from that, they have a nice curve to make things fit nicely.

Intermittent Brake / Batt indicator light
kiwipete replied to prginocx's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Check the level of your brake fluid, I had that issue when the reservoir was getting a bit low. -
Beat me to it nunya, yep I have done the conversion, big bore exhaust tomorrow too. Any questions, just fire away.

Where the air box enters the inner guard, it has a section that goes up inside the inner guard to almost the firewall area. There is no other way of modding it short of getting/making a snorkel.

Help, body lift bolt lengths and size?
kiwipete replied to terra88's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
That was my point, 2 minutes to remove it and put it back, same with the back one. Couldn't be easier. -
Help, body lift bolt lengths and size?
kiwipete replied to terra88's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Easy, remove one of the bolts and add 2 inches to it? Rear bolts are a different size too, cannot remember what though. Easiest one to remove is one of the front ones too. -
Do you have a code or reference number of the lamps in question please. I need to order some of these to be shipped to New Zealand and am having difficulty in sourcing the correct ones. Many thanks.
-
That would be a broken filament and not a blown one, broken causing an intermittent connection.
-
The switch is in the latch behind the handle, do a search it has been covered on here before.

I have the PDF file for the transmission for your truck, PM me your email address and I will send it to you. It is 6458Kb in size though.
-
You are correct with both speaker sizes.
-
Pictures please, how the heck did you shoe horn that into the engine bay?
-
Go and have a look in the Garage section, there are links to manuals in there.

It is MDF, covered in an industrial foam backed carpet that's glued and stapled to the timber. All timber was varnished first to waterproof it. Sliders and hardware was bought at a local hardware store. it is bolted through the floor where the factory tie downs were. The tie downs are transferred to the out sides of the drawers.
-
Thanks, I used sliding rails that allow the rear of the drawer to come out almost flush with the opening, saves digging in the back of the drawer to find stuff.
-
Yep, I custom made the drawers. I am looking at modifying them soon and placing the power amp on the hood lining between the speakers. That will give me more storage on the right hand side where the EPIRB and fire extinguisher is as that box part hides the amp at present.
-
No need to remove hood lining, I made some spacers for my 6x9's They are too deep to fit in the original space, unless you can get some low profile ones.

Does anyone have a picture showing the footwell lighting on these trucks? Just interested in how they are mounted and what they are mounted on?
-
Can you tell me what are rock LED's? If they are LED's you will not need a relay for them as the current draw is minuscule. I would wire them in with the dome light or map light if you have one. It shouldn't be too hard to run a small wire from there through the hood lining and down the pillars to the lights. They will just need an earth connection for them, small (baby) speaker wire would be sufficient. If you use the dome light connection they will also come on when the doors are opened. Plenty of ideas here. I would prefer to use the dome light myself.
-
I have yet to take pictures, will do this weekend.
-
For the foot well lighting, if you use LED's you will not need a relay. Just tap into the dome lighting wiring somewhere and run with that. I like the idea of foot well lighting, I have work to do now. If a rear view mirror with lights fits, where is the problem? My 95 truck has 2 map lights in the rearview mirror and I have recently swapped out the stock lamps for LED's, same with the dome light and boot light. What a huge diference that has made.

All I can suggest is you sit down and do some serious "Googling" as that's where I found my Diesel engine manual. It took a while, but it was worth the trouble in the end.
