Wonder how they'd (The WOF guys) Feel about a thin sway bar. Shave it to within an inch of it's life, so is no longer does it's job Though there isn't much flex in the front. How about cutting the sway bar in the middle then weld a sleeve on one side and a drill hole on the other for a pin?

R50/Terrano Projector Headlight
TerranoNZ replied to dududuckling's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Nope, they are factory JDM, but VERY $$$$$$$ A few here in NZ -
Dude, that is not helpful in the slightest......Also Damn you for beating me to it On topic, The new tyre aren't rubbing on anything? Has the adjustment for the transfer case been messed with? Does it go through all 2H, 4H, N and 4L normally?
-
Well, I'm going for the 3rd option, Rebuild it yourself I have 2 Pathys, both with shot transmissions. The 93 went bang and lost all drive. The 91 whines loudly and sometimes goes into limp mode. In limp mode she wont shift until 4-5k RPM unless I flip the "hold" switch on, then it goes into the next gear Sorry I can't help but I am rebuilding the 93's trans 1st as that's my DD. It'll be a while before I tackle the 91 and find out what wrong.

Radio Brand Model Recomendations + remove ashtray?
TerranoNZ replied to GreyAliens's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I bought the cheapest one I could find, so it didn't matter if I drowned it -
Well turns out I did, my bad. The WD21's only have 1 02 sensor and yes it will richen up the mix without it Shouldn't be too hard to find one on trademe.

I may be able to help....If I didn't rip the wires out of the 90 Are you sure it's not just the pyro meter for the cat?

Where to find Euro Tail Lights (oem or aftermarket)
TerranoNZ replied to GreyAliens's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Can't help with the tail lights, but the headlight washers I can. They were factory...Here at least I should be able to scrounge up a pair of them if you want....The also have their own water/motor. The motor is the same size as the wiper motor Might even have an old switch lying around As for the little mirrors, they to are a factory option here, only on the L/H side though. Here the bottle is in this pic of my 93, it's the one closest to the centre of the engine bay. You can see the motor attached to the front of it. -
That's awesome Dave .... I do need a new wallet

Instead of doing SAS conversions on D21's...
TerranoNZ replied to DreamOrMemory's topic in 86.5-89 WD21 Pathfinders
This was suggested to me as an alternative to SAS. Issue I thought of was, after all this fab work (More I'd say than a SAS) you'll only have what that truck had factory. So it won't have super flex. Also it wouldn't take my 14" travel shocks -
loud engine noise maybe lifter or engine knock
TerranoNZ replied to 4wheeldrivefun's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
The top pic was out of an engine that "looked" clean. The funny thing is that the sludged up heads weren't that bad My 88 also looked clean, but had BAD scoring on the Right head. VVV -

TerranoNZ replied to 4wheeldrivefun's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Did you look @ the rockers/shafts when you replaced the lifters? I've pulled 2 engines that have had bad scoring on both the alloy rockers and the steel shafts. -
Dads R50 has a TD27Ti, so I don't see why not. I'd say a lot of mods too

I was hiding Kinda hard to filter 7 years experience into a few sentences Here we recommend a min of 8" rims for 33x12.5's, 10" rims fit the best. The thing is, running a rim not wide enough for the tyre pulls the sidewalls in as you can imagine. They will wear out the centre of the tread, By how much depends on a lot of things. As funny as it sounds the tyre does get smaller, if you wanted more height....you've only gained half of what you could have. Think of an extreme example. 2" rim with 12" wide tyre, it'll move THAT much you'll get sea sick. Hope some of this made sense......Long day at work Not always true When the footprint gets bigger and you drive over uneven ground (Rough road/bad road) The vehicle will dart all over the place, picking up on edges and small ridges in the road. Yes race car's have very wide tyres.....As I used to say to boy racers here "You don't drive on those tracks to get to work do you?"

Thought I'd throw my 0.02 in here I towed my 93 back from Rotarua (800km) using an A-frame (Flat tow to you guys) Auto and didn't disconnect the drive shafts. Put the T-case in neutral. After 100km or so I reached under the truck and felt something warm....SHOOT, oh well the auto will be shot by now so I carried on. Got down the road a bit and thought "It was the T-case I felt, dumbass" Got out again and sure enough, auto pan was cold Auto still seems good now After 800km behind the 88

Found this video of some jerks TRYING to kill a WD-21
TerranoNZ replied to jitterymonkey's topic in General Forums
Seen it before and thought the same. Who knows, maybe it had lots of rust and was not worthy of repair -
The way I do it is to drill a small hole in it, or 2. Then screw in a wood screw and pull on them with a pair of pliers
-
If the axles are different in the 4:3 I've got a spare pair in the 90 that will be of no use to me Sing out if you need a hand
-
@ the mirror finish paint I've got a NPORA sticker but I need the ".net" part The one on Vix sayes .com

TerranoNZ replied to TheCrow's topic in General Forums
