  1. To answer a few questions about the new themed months for TOTM. The idea was put forward by packie88 with then intention of getting people out in their pathys to get themed shots. I liked the idea, along with many others (mods/admin included) It is only each alternate month that is themed, so you can post up whatever pic you want in the in between month (Some people will never see snow) It is a kind of rule, but a loose one. Meaning the water crossing noms currently running, noms like Nismojunky, Kingman and Skulptr are somewhat on the edge, but still valid. If you post up a pic with no water in sight, then that will be removed.
  2. To be honest, I would try Steve @ http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/pathfinder-differential-lockers-c-38_222.html I see he does the Richmond lock right, which I believe is the same parts as the "LOKKA" brand. He's a great guy and more interested in getting you what you need than what he wants to sell Front? I can say I know anyone using a mechanical locker in the front. I've got one in the rear and it works great. Search around the forums for a bit, lockers have been covered loads of times
  3. Damn nice cropping Pezzy Looks awesome now
  4. In all seriousness, I wouldn't waste my time with transplanting a TD27.... If your going to the trouble, ZD30DDTi (170BHP/353Nm). More pony's and torques than a QD32 (150BHP/333Nm).
  5. No wonder it's running rough, looks to me like you fried your injector wiring harness. Might want to check the coil out too.
  6. Damn I guess no pudding for me tonight. I'm starting to wonder if Terrano's (Japanese) had 2 more ponys
  7. Damn, nice looking rig. When you have been a member for 3 months and have 100 posts I'll look forward to seeing you in TOTM. BTW, the pics need to be resized to 640x480
  8. How do you get more power per litre? VG30 155hp/248Nm, TD27T 100hp/215Nm How much time have you spent working on them? The 2 I've done a bit of work on are every bit a PITA that the VG's are.
  9. I speak for the V6 side here, maybe Pete will chime in with his opinion of the diesels. Being that your in NZ and pay for road users and rego is $100 more expensive than a petrol, cost is a factor. Though I guess you have that already. I like the V6, lots of go, quiet...ish, I find them easier to fix. Bad things about the V6, Drinks fuel (I get about 500km on a tank :AUTO), they don't swim too well Mine being auto tends to bog down a little on the soft stuff. Hope that helps a little
  10. Took this tonight of a neighbours cat (The one that was asleep in my 93 a while back. YOU CAN'T SEE ME
  11. Good to see you back in these parts Dog Love the new sig

  14. Welcome to the family I've only been to Taupo once....On my way to pick up my 4dr from Rotorua
  15. Maybe I should of done that instead of getting all carried away with rebuilding the engine.... Sigh Here's my thread http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=17624&st=0&p=288240&fromsearch=1entry288240 Top job
  16. LSD's are ok, but they are no locker. My 93 V6 auto has an LSD out of a 94 Diesel manual 4:8 ratio.
  17. Welcome to the family Damn those pics look great
  18. I guess the wait was worth it, well done man
  19. That's how I read it too... Might just be a little miscommunication at the dealers
  20. Hi nesh, Good to have another fellow Kiwi here. I really thought that a diesel would be great at sand as you have good torque. Hopefully Kiwipete will spot this and be able to give you a better answer/advice. If it were me I'd buy one of those little GOOD air compressors and air the tyres down. As for the swap, I would just sell/swap for a petrol one. Cheaper, faster and less stress. As said above the swap would be engine, at least bell housing, fuel system, wiring. That's a huge job. Tex
