Do I win? VG30 Nissan Timing Belt (1984 - 6/93) $16.90 I just bought a set of VG33 pistons with rings for $173US and an oil pump (VG30) for $122US Just waiting on money to ship them to NZ. The guy is great to deal with http://www.store.partsdinosaur.com/page37.html

I know of one 92 Nissan Navara (Hardbody?) Factory fitted VG30E in New Zealand This is an auction so pics might not be there for long. Dunno If that helps but It RARE here Only difference to that list (this is from New Zealand) is you can still get 2drs...up to 94 as I've got one, but it's got a TD27T. I haven't seen a VG30E 2dr after 92 here.

Sorry can't see anything for all the sheep :tonguefinger: This is all I could find. Never seen a WD21 though http://www.whatvan.co.uk/roadtest.asp?id=3967

TD27/TD27T Quite envolved. Depends on how keen you are to loose acceleration Why do you want to change?

*Puts hand up* Not in the same hemisphere

You know that's probably the only pic I don't have I could be wrong (it's happend once before), but I'm sure there is no left or right shock. Maybe they are too fat. Maybe someone has chopped the bumpstops allowing more travel. Can't really see alot in that pic. Welcome to the family Digger

Most people have gas Pathfinders here not diesel, being that most members are from America. Hope someone is able to help you though Good to have another Kiwi

Here's a pic of the 2 water pumps. The one at the bottom is the VG33 one. Both oil pumps mate up to the water pumps, so the extra bit on the VG30 water pump gets in the road. Cheers Aaron Laxman: IIRC a VG34 is a VG33 that has been bored out, either to .060 over size or bigger different pistons (I can't remember) No problem bud
-
I happend to have a VG30 (4WD) water pump lying around, sat it on....No, the VG33 oil pump sits up higher. Bore's are a little scored, but will hone out
-
Forgot to post some pics of the tear down....Found some nasty surprises Took the water pump off Sludge. The left bank of pistons had this wear on them..Engine builder said is was most probably fuel wash. However new pistons are here (Thanks to a top bloke)

1 question 2 door or 4 door? The 2 door auto ECU is mounted behind the plastic panels in line with the rear seat on the right hand side. Where the rear door would be on a 4 door (Don't know where it is in a 4 door) The box under YOUR drivers seat is the ECU for the engine. (IIRC Russki's have the steering wheel on the RIGHT side of the Truck) Hope someone else might be able to help you more

Could be a faulty sender, Gremlin in the wiring All I'd do is hook up an oil gauge. Should be the easiest way to know for sure Could try a new sender...Not too dear. Good luck

I would like to bet good money that the VG33 pulley's have different alignment to the VG30 ones. So that would mean changing P/S and alt mounting I'm guessing. The biggest reason is the lack of VG33's in these parts. So I'm taking the easiest way for me As for "stupid question" don't know if you've heard this saying "Simple people have simple solutions" Basically meaning someone that doesn't know much can come up with a great idea I know I have

After seeing a few members talking about building motors and using a VG33 block, I thought I'd start a thread on it. Lets see if we can help each other Not too long ago I bought this VG33 and started stripping it. I noticed that the water pump has a longer snout...No biggie. Stuck the VG30 water pump on...doesn't fit. Oil pump is different, and the crank has a fatter snout than the VG30. Because I need to run all the VG30 pulley's What I hope to do is use the VG30 crank. Also if you plan on using a VG30 oil pump you will need to use the VG30 oil pickup. I'm checking at the moment if there is a difference in oil gallery's between engines, as the VG33 doesn't have (what looks like to me) a relief valve like this pic of a VG30. Found out that this part is part # 15241-40F00 Valve Assy-Regu" and will fit Thanks to VG powered forum. I plan on using the #2 offroad cams from Nismo USA, TBC on pistons and valves, get the bottom end balanced, 60mm TB with matched MAF from a 2L turbo Skyline and some other bits. Link's I've found so far: Cheap conrods (Though I need to replace the bushes for smaller ones) http://www.raceeng.com/p-8999-h-beam-rodnissan-vg30-set.aspx I did see a site that said "We sonar tested a VG30 block and it's thick enough for the VG33 pistons", then I found this http://www.automotivehelper.com/topic81371.htm What I think are cheap VG33 Pistons, rings and clip set $173.28US. Great guy to deal with. http://www.store.partsdinosaur.com/page203.html 5523Pathfinder found this one http://www.allnissans.com/showthread.php?t=3674 Cam specs http://www.redz31.com/pages/caminfo.html More info to come, but at the moment My heads and block are at the engine builders, Pistons, oil pump and conrods have arrived thanks to Redpath88 and I'm broke Let the fun begin

I've never used a clutch aligning tool....Just bolted it together loosely then feel the outside of the P/plate/clutch plate and push it to make the gap even....Little hard to explain in writing Always goes on Good luck though man
-
I'm building a VG33 block at the moment...hitting the odd snag One of the problems is the snout on the VG33 crank is bigger so either you have to turn it down ($$$), use all the pully's from a VG33 (PITA) or (Like I'm trying to do) use a VG30 crank...Same stroke and IIRC same bearing size. From my searching on the net Some guy's were putting VH45 pistons in VG33's. (With quite a few mods) I'm just waiting for funds

I just received my HOOHAA CL today 1st Kiwi to get one Thanks Bryan Shoot I almost forgot Big thanks to Redpath88 for getting me a core

Yeah...My Audi has this feature where you lift the door handle for more than 3 seconds and a heater fires up to melt any ice in the lock, GREAT IDEA So one morning with frost on the car I tried it out and it worked.....cept the door seal was frozen

Ding ding ding We have a winner.....Sorry. $1200NZ EACH if available.....Harder to find than a piece of hay in a big stack of needles. Roughly $1700NZ each new from Nissan. This is just for normal one's like you want......HID's are even more. The problem is where they make cheap knock-off's aren't making copies of these lights, not even the standard R50 lights. I will keep my eyes peeled in the parts for sale here, and If I see any cheap I'll PM you *Wonders about getting a set of normal lights then "Test driving a R50 from a car sales*
