for real man

why do you say that? there is nothing wrong with running that pressure. I know lots of people who run that. Just because your tire says max Air pressure is 35 doesn' mean you have to run it at 35.
-
no you ever seen a multigrade hyd oil? but hydraulic oil will generally take temperature better.
-
do the chalk test.. hell even ask the local tire shop about it.. they will tell you its the correct thing to do. or, they will lie to you so you have to buy new tires more often.
-
did you test fuel pressure before changing the fuel pump?

impact driver.

Tire pressure can vary with vehicle weight, tire size, type etc. the ony way the recommended tire pressure from nissan is goign to be correct is if you have Zero modiicatoins and are running the tire the vehicle originally came with. Do the chalk test. get your vehicle on dry flat ground. Make a mark accross the tire with chalk. Drive straight down the road. If the calk wears off on the edges of the tire first, then you don't have enough pressure in them. If it wears off in the middle you have too much pressure in them. (if it wears on inside or outside unevently you have an alignment issue) example, My ford F250 Diesel says to run 65 front and 65-85 rear. With NO load in the bed with my new tires, i'm at 45 in the rear to make them wear properly. 65 in the front is OK though. I do this test on all my rigs.

I had the front break making noise on my truck. it really sounded like it was comming from teh front it was the back, wouldn't hurt to just check.

91 Nissan Pathfinder Stalls when turning left
87pathy replied to sportsman2171's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
i'd check the steering Box something is binding causing teh pump to work harder and stalling the engine. (i bet at idle or close to). if it was the pump it would happen in both left and right directions. -
can you remove the WRONG / false information?
-
air tank protected by 5/8" uhmw.. no worries.
-
no worse an idea than puttin your oil filter under your chasy as many people had. Sorry, i think both are a bad idea. Only thing that belongs under there is tranny, Tcase, and air tank.
-
don't have any experience with amsoil. but most definately on the Wix.
-
in a daily driver that will see 4x4 on roads, i would only put in a selectable locker. such as an arb. i would not weld or put a spool in it
-
um, please explain how you figure. the only true statemeent here is its the cheapest, however, a nissan dif is not so easy to weld. and maybe you should explain the downfalls to welding a diff. Spools haver a few draw backs.

all oils are a coctail. the manufactuer of oils knows exactly what is in each type and can put them together without issue. but i have a real hard iime switchign back an forth. cause this is not the only time i've seen this.
-
ya, well these guys thought they flushed the system good too.. Hate for this to get stuck in your oil pickup. This was hydrauic oil, but its all the same principle. A customer of ours went form synthetic back to dyno. this is what happened.
-
well, if your going to try, make sure and stick with it. I'll try and dig up a photo from my email tomarrow that shows what can happen when you mix sythetic and dino.
-
screw synthetic. to expensive. If your changing your oil every 3k miles, don't bother for 3 times the cost. 365k on mine and still run dino I run valvoline or napa or carquest oil. Its all made by valvoline.
-
thats a good quesetion. next time i get to the pick and pull, i'll have a look at the 3L maximas. or the zx's
-
i have tried, and comes up nothing.

my pathy will start and run fine for 10 secs
87pathy replied to pathfinderfisherman's topic in The Garage
not sure on the pathy's BUT this is exactly what happens when the MAF on a toyota goes bad. and you can't properly check them. if you test it and its all over the place, its probably OK if it give you a steady resistance reading, its most likely no good. -
yes, please.. I need 2. I'm not going to spend a fortune, as my rigs are 87, and 89.. i only have to do emissions on each of them 1 more time. both of them are running on waivers right now. the 89 is good till aug 2011 and the 87 till feb 2011 that means 1 more waiver on the 87 and 2 more on the 89. at 150 bucks each for the waiver it might be easier. I'd like to get the 89 all done up right.. its the missus pathy.
-
never mind, i found it http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=24750&view=&hl=emissions&fromsearch=1 problem is, can't find one. thats what i thought it was called. cant get it to pass at idle. everything else is mint.
-
Might sound like a dumb question but. You know the "box" that always rusts out. part of the air injection system. right behind the drivers side headlight. what hte hell is the "real" name for it. i'm trying to find one, or 2.. both of my pathy's won't pass emissions cause they are rusted out, and need to find one.. but i don't know what the REAL name for it is. thanks
