  1. this shows the old rancho 9000's. it says nothing about the new 9000 xl's. I know they changed some stuff on them but don't know exactly what. I cannot find any information on the 9000xl's
  2. yes, i know that they are still used. but for how much longer? european motors are much more high tech than ours. I bet in 10 years, you wont' see one. I could be wrong.. but......................
  3. inline 6 cylinders are heavy. they also do not have the best capability of running at high rpms. todays cars run at higher rpms wich are generally cleaner burning. i.e. jeep got rid of the 4.0 cause it would not pass the current and future smog regulations.. so now its the 3.7 V6
  4. where do you find this information on how the new shocks are constructed? I can't find anything that says they are a cell type.. i don't care, cause like i said.. If your not desert racing.. they will be fine. just want to know where you get your information?
  5. what do you mean by compressor based? the my ride system uses a compressor too. curious.... as i have a compressor on board.
  6. these are what i'm buying.. RS99036..
  7. come down here and i'll sell you another transmission.. there is one sitting on my gargage floor
  8. unless your racing or are into desert running type. I doubt you will ever overheat a normal shock.
  9. thats a bunch of BS.. lost me at, they can be mounted upside down for extra weight support. how does mounting upside down let it handle more weight? a piston is a piston..
  10. oh i know.. i said.. START.. i've had my rig to 7k and she's screaming... also, a good portion of the 300zx guys have different heads, wich means valves.. etc.. remember. DUEL over head cam. (yes, i know that you could find alot of different configurations.
  11. he's not at 6k.... I know what 6k in a pathy sounds like.. LOL and at 6500 the lifters start floating..
  12. I have been doing alot of research and asking alot of people (i have LOTS of friends in the vehicle / fab business) the general concensus is Rancho 9000xl's. You can tune them to your ride by the turn of a knob. they are the same price as bilstien 5100's I for one am going to run teh Rancho 9000's
  13. you've got a whicked vaccuum leak, which would cause ALL your problems. I can hear the leak in the video
  14. better do some searching before you say i want bilstiens and no rancho suggestions.. because if you want a smooth ride.. don't go for the bilstiens. i just went through this discussion with some fab buddies of mine. "Pogo stick" was the word used for the bilstiens.
  15. i was telling my buddy about this, and he said.. i bet your 87 has more miles than that.. I said, how do you figure? You have told me the same milage for several years now, he replied. cause thats when the odometer quit working..lol
  16. DOHC should mean Duel over THE head cams. as in 2 over each head, not total of 2. I have had to explain this to almost every domestic person i have discussed this with.. even got into a heated argument once.
  17. that would be a little hard to do. the twist the frame in half thing... our frames, as long as not rotted, are VERY strong.
  18. my 89 has alot more power than my buddies 95.. i'e driven them both. whats this mean... Nothing.
  19. funny you guys say they are stiff. most people like them cause they are not as stiff as rancho's. i personnally like them,
  20. there is somebody ont his board in washington that has one.
  21. i understand that.. that was ALL custom, no bolt on parts. 1000 for an exhaust system is silly
  22. 1000 is way to much, I had a custome Y pipe and all new exahust custom made for rig (expet manifolds) new cat, new muffler.. 650 out the door.
  23. wouldn't be a good swap as the TBI and MPFI have different ECUs
  24. i'd be worried about the position of hte intake, gonna fill up in a good rain. Needs to point down at a slight angle so water cannot just go right in.
  25. you can fairly safely say, that the nissan 5 speed will handle anything you can bolt to it.
