  1. mine quit workign years ago, then it started working again.. then stopped again, hasn't worked for several years.
  2. think of it this way.. you got a free D30.. does it have CV's or u joints? the person you got it from probably upgraded to a D44. even jeeps don't keep the D30's. I would sell it to a jeep guy and save the money for a D44 sombody else asked about a Chevy front end for a nissan..Answer is NO. the pumpkin is on the wrong side.
  3. by the time you make a D30 capable of running a 35" tire reliably, you can buy a 44, or have a good down payment for a D60. Just not worth it. if your dead set on it, make sure you its at least a HP model.
  4. FWIW, I put my ECU in the glove box. had to extend 1 ground wire. the other coils up or loops back up in the passengers kick panel. as far as behind the glove box, I have seen it done.. Mr. Packie88 did it. (RIP) i asked him about it getting hot and he said it didn't.
  5. I drilled mine out to 3/4, with a hand drill while under the vehicle. 5 years later, its fine.
  6. thanks everybody. and yes.. i'm a grump..lol Not really...
  7. a few years ago when i was at the nissan dealer, i asked this very same question. the reason is.. "nissan" cannot gurantee that some idiot knows how to drive a clutch. that being said, he said its fine, they just can't guarantee it therefore, the lower tow rating.
  8. here is what i found on the in cab control for the 9000's -- STOP! -- DO NOT PUT THIS PRODUCT IN YOUR SHOPPING CART! IT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED.
  9. this shows the old rancho 9000's. it says nothing about the new 9000 xl's. I know they changed some stuff on them but don't know exactly what. I cannot find any information on the 9000xl's
  10. yes, i know that they are still used. but for how much longer? european motors are much more high tech than ours. I bet in 10 years, you wont' see one. I could be wrong.. but......................
  11. inline 6 cylinders are heavy. they also do not have the best capability of running at high rpms. todays cars run at higher rpms wich are generally cleaner burning. i.e. jeep got rid of the 4.0 cause it would not pass the current and future smog regulations.. so now its the 3.7 V6
  12. where do you find this information on how the new shocks are constructed? I can't find anything that says they are a cell type.. i don't care, cause like i said.. If your not desert racing.. they will be fine. just want to know where you get your information?
  13. what do you mean by compressor based? the my ride system uses a compressor too. curious.... as i have a compressor on board.
  14. these are what i'm buying.. RS99036..
  15. come down here and i'll sell you another transmission.. there is one sitting on my gargage floor
  16. unless your racing or are into desert running type. I doubt you will ever overheat a normal shock.
  17. thats a bunch of BS.. lost me at, they can be mounted upside down for extra weight support. how does mounting upside down let it handle more weight? a piston is a piston..
  18. oh i know.. i said.. START.. i've had my rig to 7k and she's screaming... also, a good portion of the 300zx guys have different heads, wich means valves.. etc.. remember. DUEL over head cam. (yes, i know that you could find alot of different configurations.
  19. he's not at 6k.... I know what 6k in a pathy sounds like.. LOL and at 6500 the lifters start floating..
  20. I have been doing alot of research and asking alot of people (i have LOTS of friends in the vehicle / fab business) the general concensus is Rancho 9000xl's. You can tune them to your ride by the turn of a knob. they are the same price as bilstien 5100's I for one am going to run teh Rancho 9000's
  21. you've got a whicked vaccuum leak, which would cause ALL your problems. I can hear the leak in the video
  22. better do some searching before you say i want bilstiens and no rancho suggestions.. because if you want a smooth ride.. don't go for the bilstiens. i just went through this discussion with some fab buddies of mine. "Pogo stick" was the word used for the bilstiens.
